  1. Hi Im struggling to takeoff on Missions 3 & 4. I presume it has to do with the load and altitude. I have full throttle and pull the collective to max, the HIND lifts off the ground by 3-5 meter then starts to sink. I have full peddles but cant stop the HIND from slowly spinning. Its like Im too heavy or lack power. I have checked weights in the rearm screen and for mission 3 I have reduced weight to comply. I have tested the weights by removing all weapons, which helps with lift and control. Can someone suggest what I am doing wrong? I hope I have provided enough info. Thanks for any help.
  2. I have the same problem with mission 3. I only figured out that the MI-24 was overloaded when stumbling upon this post. (Thanks JimmyWA) I have to reduce the weight by removing 2x rocket pods and fuel down to 40%, well below the max load, just to gain altitude. This maybe down to my inexperience. My AI wingman also has trouble getting off the ground. I'm enjoying the campaign which is challenging me to learn systems I've been to lazy to attempt.
  3. Thank you so much for your hard work. My Kiwi Grandfather flew a Mosquito B Mk.XVI in RAF 163 Squadron, which may not be exactly the same as what DCS offers but is close enough. As a young child, I displayed a lot of interest and would ask him many questions. He opened up and shared his experiences, something my father never had the opportunity to hear, as the war was a forbidden topic in their household during his upbringing. Later in life, it has been a thrilling experience to learn about the DCS Mosquito. Your campaign, particularly the night missions, has provided me with a glimpse of what it would have been like for my grandfather. To make it even more immersive, his Navigator was Welsh. One story he told me was about a close encounter with a court-martial when he fiercely confronted the squadron leader for attempting to reassign his navigator to another inexperienced pilot. He was enraged and believed it would be a death sentence, so he did everything he could to retain his navigator. Fortunately, his efforts paid off, and both of them survived the war with only a coin-sized hole from flak in the tail. Anyway, I want to express my heartfelt gratitude for V for Victory. It truly is a dream come true to come as close as I can to something that has had a profound impact on my life. I have attached a picture of him on the left with his ground crew, and his navigator on the right, in front of their Mossi D for Duck.
  4. In mission 2 I get the same results. Aircraft doing S turns over the airfield and not setting course at the correct / or any time. Look forward to the Day we get some big AI updates
  5. Thanks ED for the development update. Just can't wait to to learn the plane my Grandfather flew in the war. I am super excited about this.
  6. I have been struggling with the same problem on the first mission. Ive flown the mission 3 times and the engine seems to cut out at around 18000ft. Im running the engine at 2600-2800 RPM with 7-8 boost. The engine doesn't die it just loses all power, like from the lack of gas or supercharger failing. If I drop the nose (with no power) and loose altitude the engine kicks back in.
  7. In the recent interview with ED Business Director Simon Pearson, mentioning again that the Mossie is aimed for release at the end of the year. We must be getting close to ED starting the hype train too keep our wallets adjare for its release. Come on lets see some pictures or even better a video :) The end of the year is near
  8. I have a friend who works at Ardmore, he gave me a call last Thursday and said get ya ass out here. I raced out and saw her do a couple of low passes and then land. Such a beautiful aircraft. I was out at Ardmore late last year where they were showing the restorted mossie off, I'll post some picture once I down size them. I cannot wait to fly this bird in DCS only wish is that my grandfather was still around to teach me himself. He is the handsome devil on the left, George Holmes and his D for Duck in the background.
