Radom spawntime? Hi, is there any possibility to let the AI-planes spawn at random times? Let´s say, one group spawns at the mission start, another randomly and for me surprisingly? I´d like to build some CAP missions and want to get a picture or bogey-dope from the E3 or E2 without knowing when the bogeys spawn... Currently I know the time the bogeys spawn ´cos i have built the mission... ;-)

Unfortunately not, here´s the actual wording: local MIG21=RAT:New("RAT_MIG21") MIG21:Spawn(2) Can it be that the MIGs spawn later? I expect them being on a runway right at the beginning of the mission, but maybe they appear later? EDIT: got it! found this sentence on one of the older posts: "So when you make changes to the script, e.g. correct errors add stuff and so on, you need to go back to the trigger section in the ME and reopen the script file and save the mission again. Otherwise the changes are not taken over." This was the issue... I didn´t reload the script after editing it... Thanks again for your immediate replies!

nope, doesn´t work... edited the file, buit the Mig21 doesn´t spawn... They are neither anywhere in the air nor on any runway... Could you please have a look at th mission? I reckon there´s some subtle issue anywhere... MIG-29G Multirole Training.miz

Thanx, funkyfranky, didn´t realize that the Bindestrich isn´t allowed in scripting... I´ll give that a try immediately.

Hi again, I know our Fulcrum is a FC-model, but is there really no way to set the correct QFE?

Guys, after few horrible tries with a speed of around 300, i realized that I didn´t mention that i´m flying the G-model... And that bird uses knots for speed and feet for flightlevel... ;-) Well, after realizing that, i managed to get the bird on the ground in one piece. Approaching with around 150-160 kts works fine, the only thing i have to manage asap is to get rid of my so called "Hornet-Flying"... Thew MIG-beauty is so different from the F/A-18...

Again, guys, really appreciate all your inputs. Will be doing some training sessions tonite focussed on landing... :-)

Guys, I´m doing my first steps in the MIG-29, having spent most time before with F/A-18 and F-5. Flying and weapons-handling works pretty well, but when it comes to land the bird, i´m getting trouble. in the moment of touchdown the bird hops like crazy. Speed on touchdown is around 200 km/h, AOA is not more than 5°, flaps are in landing position. So my question is, does anyone else suffer from this behavior? And if so, any hints how to deal with it? To be honest, landing with the Hornet or the F-5, as well as the old trustworthy SU-25T didn´t ever give me the trouble the Fulcrum gives me...

Thanx buddy, great input. The idea off having the mapping as far as possible the same for the different aircrafts sounds good, i´m flying F/A-18, F-5 and the russian birds depending on my current mood...

Guys, i know i can switch between the different waypoints/airfields/targets. But how do i know which airfield is "active"? I remember in the SU-25T there is a small number on the HUD in RTN-mode, that tells me which airfield is selected for return...

Hatte ich auch... Speedbrake, Flaps, Gear - alles nicht funktioniert. Musste diese Belegungen schnell noch mal durchführen... Nun geht´s wieder.

Hi, during today´s training flight I had a few Russian transporters and tankers in the air. My radar locks them well, but the selcted AIM-120 doesn´t give the shoot-cue ´til i´m appr. <20mls away. Shouldn´t a "long-range-missile" be released at longer ranges? Technical specs of the AIM-120 give 55 up to >100mls according to the different models of the missile. Any cue what´s happening? kind regards

Hi guys, today when starting DCS, the module manager led me to the free testing download of the PG-Map. Unfortunately i had not enough space on my SDD and had to stop the download. Now after cleaning up the drive, i can´t return to the download of the map... Any suggestions how to get back? I´d really like toi terst the map... Kind regards Stefan
