  1. Mine is one of the lost ones. Will wait on your other thread to add details.
  2. Yes, but preferably if will be ring-bound, like Falcon 4 and come with all relevant checklists.
  3. Let's hope this is right, Pilotasso. X-plane just can't fill that void for me, I own the latest version and while it is good it is missing things to make it more immersive.
  4. I know it's not much, but google has street level mapped all the surrounding built up area on it's mapping system. Google Nellis You can walk all along the roads and although low-res, can see quite a bit. I also have friends who work there, if you need a rough height of hangars? Also, Panoramia has a bunch og photos, indexed from all over the web, by location: Panoramia Nellis AFB
  5. I've flown a few types of helicopter, amongst which the Apache D. Some types will drop straight to the floor, but newer ones default to center at about cruise torque. Most have a screw-like ring around it that you twist to increase friction, thus you can control how floppy or how stiff the collective is, or set it fast completely. Having it set fast is obviously not recommended, as in most emergencies you're going to want to lower the collective immediately. But anyway, so when you're in cruise configuration and want to check a map, or flick a switch, you can, with friction on. The apache D can do most things hands-on the collective, with a cursor control allowing you to manipulate the MFDs from your thumb on the collective.
  6. You're right, if I were 14 again I would probably have a go because it is aviation! Hell, if I knew anyone with a console, I'd probably have a quick go now for the hell of it. :D
  7. Oh ouch, HAWX is not the most appropriate alternative to a simulator...
  8. And with a high density altitude, impossible, as you'll over-torque your good engine and end up with a DEF. Better to land on and try a cross-bleed if you are going to try one anyway...
  9. http://meriweather.com/320/over/antiice.html Button on right, it's on the overhead panel in the A320. or:
  10. Remember that David is Australian, so 50 Australian bucks is at today's rate 32 US dollars. Having known David for a few years, he doesn't do this for the money. He used to make top quality freeware as DBS. Then realized if he had some cash flow, he could: make much better aircraft with proper sound systems; professional polygon 3D models; pay people to do top quality repaints; get professional aircraft engineers and pilots to do the dynamics. The overall product would therefore be of a much higher standard. Considering you get around 4-6 model variants with around 30-40 repaints for those 32 US Dollars, I'd pay double that if I was that interested in the aircraft. The PC-9 he has done is absolutely fantastic, with canopy icing, hypoxia and engine dying at realistic torque settings all modeled to high fidelity, a first in FSX. It's essentially as real as it gets for today's limitations.
  11. I used to play Chuck Year: Air combat when it came out. It could be the same game... http://nz.youtube.com/watch?v=b5ExiuclyiE
