Use obs to record the window buddy, it’s a free recording software that does an amazing job. Highly recommend , you can use it to record the stretch window and crop it down too if u chose that. Do a search on google for obs and oculus mirror or check out jabbers vid on obs and the stretched window

Quick update : , within about 10 mins with dcs bios and a few breadboards i have most of it working, i see what u mean now by dcs bios makes it very simple (well basic stuff anyway). Just got to wait on mouser now to deliver my encoders and a few switches i got from amazon. Do you have the part numbers for the 3 and 2 way switches in your setup fella?

Thanks again John your a lifesaver! Rich

ok so home from holidays and arduino is here, just having a play, quick question, do you use pull up / pull down resistors on your rotary switches / toggle switches? or just straight in. thanks buddy
-
Looking into a laser for acrylic myself, is there one you would recommend to grab and any particular upgrades you would get? Thanks
-
Great to hear and thanks again for the help, just signed up on mouser gonna get those rotaries from there and look for the correct size switches too , so many to choose from! Regards
-
Thanks for the advice buddy , this is mostly all new to me , luckily I can code to an extent so learning the syntax will be the only hard part, is your rotary switch click to position or does it just rotate? Also your 3 position switch is that on off on or on x 3? I’m home on sat and have ordered a few arduinos and breadboards etc to play with and test. Then I’ll take a look at the code in the dcs bios f18 library.

Thanks for the info , looking into getting one to do my own panels for personal use only, any brand u recommend? I read the k40 is ok as long as u upgrade the tube to 60w and control boards with some from lightobject.
-
Thanks for the links lads gives me a lot more options as couldn’t find any uk based , the 2 rotary switches u both use. Are they snap to position or smooth turning ? (Is like some snap ones) Many thanks
-
Hey all, just wondering where you all get your switches and rotarys and buttons from? Looked into eBay but it’s like 4 weeks! After a few rotary switches , 1 being an 8 position 45 degree step 360 switch for the f18 ins. Another for radar etc then the 2 and 3 way switches Thanks in advance
-
Looking at making the ins / flir panel now, what rotary did u use there mate? Preferably I want an 8 switch rotary that snaps to position for the ins dial. Thanks in advance

What laser / upgrades are you using buddy?
