+1 Raindrops in VR still do not appear like they do in 2D. Tested with Reverb and Rift S (PD 1.0, and no mods)

I noticed a massive VR performance drop inside the A10 cockpit as well. All other modules (except the Farmer) running fine. Trying to follow the suggestions above.

Had the same Problem. Deleted the shadow file in the deferred folder before applying the mod. Worked for me.

So the VR Optimization has been released with DCS 2.5.5.31917 Open Beta (not mentioned in the changelog, or was I blind again??) Anyway, thank you guys for pointing that fakts out! Seems that I forgot Wags' initial post asking for the results. Sigh*.. Still waiting for the optimization to take affect on my rig.

I couldn't see any performance increase in VR too. And I literally tried everything since considering the fault could probably be on my side. Yes, I am aware of rebuilding shaders, config file etc, using process lasso pro or not.. Still remember NineLine's "Just an update to the update" post 6-5-2019 "the team is aware and will be working to move this optimization to 2.5.5 as soon as possible" in the OB-announcement. To this day I only read contrasting stuff about this, but nothing official like "we finally moved the VR-optimization correctly to latest OB, have fun!".. or so. Anyway, I would really like to know what's the status.

Noticed the latest Updater is now 2.9.8.81. Using this I could finally succeeded to update to 2.5.4.26552 Open Beta! BTW I was on v. 2.5.4.25729 beta branch before. Download was with normal speed for my connection. So issues are gone, at least for me. Hope for you as well!

Thanks for your reply to my first post in a forum ever! :P Did another attempt yesterday and felt lucky to see it continue beyond those 268mb. But then it jammed again… just 90mb away from finishing. Had to cancel (again) via taskmanager. I have read, that it seems to work for some, and does not others. Guess we´ve got to wait until ED solved their hardware issue.

Hi everyone! I cannot update to latest Beta v. 2.5.4.26368. Download keeps stuck at 268mb. Done a repair, several times, checked I-net-connection, turned off Firewall and any protection, re-downloaded latest DCS_updater 2.9.7.80, launched with admin rights ...no luck. :cry: Too bad, ´cause I just bought the Christen Eagle autoupdate_log.txt is attached Thanks for any help, LtDanTailor autoupdate_log.txt
