  1. Wow! Just Wow... The difference is incredible. Gone is the stiction. Didn't really use the drill bits as the 15/64 was a fraction too small and the 1/4 was too tight. BUT I did notice that the pegs had some fairly severe faults in the cast which I fixed by trimming them with a knife and there were cast lines *inside* the holes where the pegs are supposed allow the inner gimbal to move freely... Except now it makes a sticky, squelchy noise when I move it 'cos that Nyogel is so sticky and thick :P
  2. I noticed that in the initial start up screen after loading the game, along the bottom where all of the module icons are, the MiG-21Bis icon is in colour like it is a module I own, but I don't own it and it still says 'Buy' when I mouse over it. I only noticed it after buying the A-10C and FC3 on the first day of the latest sale. Nothing major, just letting you know. EDIT: Sorry forget to mention... I'm on version 1.5.8
  3. I too had this issue the other day.
  4. Don't tempt me! I'd heard about them before I got my 'Hog, but didn't really look into them... maybe should have gone with one of them.
  5. She's virtually brand new, and has loosened up a little since I got her, but sticky as hell on the pitch and a little sticky on the roll. I'm considering the 1/4" or 5/16" drill bit end in the peg holes solution as well as a scrape and sand of the gimbals if needed. I have a fresh unopened tube of Nyogel 767a I got just for this reason (and for my t16k throttle). Is there any more recent or better fixes for the 'Hog stiction?
  6. #65644 WA Australia Even after this many 'Hogs, they still haven't fixed the stiction. Considering opening 'er up...
  7. I just had a quick look at mine (assembled) and it does look like those go in the pedal where it slides, either at the front or at the back (cant see). I think they go on top of the rails inside the pedal somehow. At least it really does look like that on mine. And the round things look like are washers for where the central pivot connects to the pedals (under the heel part of the toe brake there is a place for them, they are held in by screws.)
  8. They look like they go on underneath the pedals on top of the rails for the pedals to slide on when you move them backward or forwards...
  9. Great interview. Cheers for posting!
  10. Those Su-25T tutorials are just what I've been looking for. Thanks a bunch mate!
  11. I haven't bought any modules yet. I will see how I go with the base game first. But the A10, F15, Spitfire and incoming F/A 18 look like things I will buy. As is Flaming Cliffs because it has the MiG 29, which is something I've wanted to fly since I was playing Falcon 1.0 back when I was in primary school. I would really like to see an F 16 in DCS as it was my first love of military aircraft. I imagine once I get my bearings and come to grips with the amount of content available for DCS I will want more modules as well. Like the Harrier for example! :D EDIT: Thanks for the link BTW!
  12. Didn't see a new comers forum so posted here. Downloaded the game yesterday and got some preconfigured profiles for my HOTAS Warthog pumping today. I've done the first two training missions for both the vanilla planes. Running a CV1 through an 8GB RX 480 (still tweaking). Aside from playing the training missions till I know them back to front are there any useful tips or need to know things to make the curve a little less steep? Ta...
  13. Cheers for the tips mate.
