  1. Unfortunately it looks like CH Products has abandoned it's clients. The last CH Control Manager is several years old and doesn't work well with Win10. I find I need to reboot to get the "Download" button to be active (for a while) and program it. I'm not sure of the company's future but I still see the gear for sale new so i'm a bit pissed that the programming software has been abandoned! For now, look here to see if this helps - https://forum.il2sturmovik.com/topic/33087-enabling-ch-products-joystick-control-manager-in-windows-10/
  2. Thanks guys, I think I just expected too much of it!
  3. I followed the advice above, am now plugged directly into the router that is also the wireless connection from my Internet provider. I have disabled/uninstalled the wireless software and drivers (Killer Control Panel) and disabled the wireless adapter in Network properties. I looked in BIOS but I see no setting for it, so that's about it. I'm using the OEM P51D Instant Action ground attack mission to test. I was getting a 1 second pause every 6 seconds before, now I was smooth as silk until I came up on the convoy and then got slight stutters every few seconds. I kept making passes on the convoy and after the second pass.. no more stutters! I don't have time to run it again but i'll report back after another try.. Edit: I just check the cores and DCS has all enabled.. i'm starting to think this may be G-Sync related, will play with that next. Also may try lowering FSAA and Anisotropic. System: Alienware R4 Win10 Pro i7-7820HK @ 2.9gz 16 gb 512GB SSD Boot drive (DCS installed here) GTX 1080 card Output to a new LG 32GK850G-B 32" G-Sync monitor at 144hz
  4. Anyone making missions for the latest version (compatible with DCS 2.5)?
  5. New to CA, trying the 1st mission. I set paths to points, usually using the roads to get things like Msta Arty into range. They move up to a point and then seem to refuse to go when I try and move them again? Also, why would 1 of the 4 units not fire? I assign targets individually to each but one just sits there with his gun pointing in the air. Seems to happen with the MLRS also. I'll check next time, maybe they are out of supplies? The tank and other groups always respond, though they run out of ammo quick too, guess I need to get that Ural 375 supply truck more involved, haven't tried rearming yet.
  6. Are these the videos - https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLFtNdz4UYM-qNdMi5k3ODn0l50NRn6OnZ ? There is also a nice walk-through here - https://www.airgoons.com/w/Combined_Arms to get you started. I have only played the 1st mission (MISSIONS from Main Menu, CA) a couple times trying to learn what NOT to do (I seem to do that a lot!). Just learned about re-arming, deleting Targets, etc. Still have to figure out why some units stop moving, one unit in a group won't fire, and on and on. I do enjoy (1st person) going point in a tank and taking out enemy armor though! This fills the time while I wait for my new apartment (11/1) and have space for a sim setup, just need a KB and Mouse for this... can't wait to fly again, DCS, BMS, and AH III..
  7. Coming back after a long time away and ran into a problem. I bought BS1 and have the key code but no CD. I also bought the BS2 upgrade at some point and have that key code also. DCS World (latest version) won't upgrade to BS2 because BS1 isn't installed and I can't download it (duh, yes I can!)... EDIT: As I was typing this I thought to Google "BS1 Downloads" and it pointed me to https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/downloads/previous_versions/ Downloaded BS1 English, installed, stated it up and activated with my key, and BS2 upgraded perfectly so i'm all set! Maybe this will help someone else..
