  1. So I tried a different training mission in the c101 and it happened on that one too. I tried deleting the C101 and reinstalling it and it still crashes. Well, I think I fixed it. I ran the memtest86+ built into my mobo and realized I was getting errors on test 8. After googling around I found it might be indicative of under voltage in my ram. After turning on XMP in BIOS my PC passed the memtest and I was able to fly the mission without problem.
  2. I keep having a CTD while trying to do Training mission 2 for the C101. It doesn't seem to happen at a set point or action, but out of 4-5 times it inevitably always happens. I tried verifying files to see if that was the cause of the issue and it continued to happen after. I did switch to the A-10C II on a heavy training mission and had no issue with it. Attached is my log file. Thank you in advance for any help. dcs.log
  3. I keep getting a crash on Training 2. It seems to happen at random, but I've replayed the training 5 times and each time it happened. I've tried verifying DCS files and checking my ram via the built in windows diagnostic(google search for missions crashing lead one user to realize he had faulty ram, and I recently upgraded my ram so I figured I would check it). I did fly another mission with the A10C to see if was an issue with DCS or just the module/training. Thank you in advanced for any help. Attached is my log file. dcs.log
  4. Check this thread, it details what’s happening . OP suggests switching the ARC-210 into FM modulation to fix it, but I haven’t tried yet.
  5. Is this something we can do with the radio? Tried to check the manual on the ARC-210 but all of the ones I find online aren’t updated with the ARC-210 yet.
  6. Well, I am glad to see it’s not just me who’s having this issue. Just restarted the mission the first time it happened. I guess I’ll mess around with the Qualification campaigns until this is resolved. I don’t know if it’s a related issue but I was having audio issues in M1 where the first part of Biff’s audio was cut out, however it resolved itself once we switched radios.
  7. Huh, I wonder what’s going on on my end and what I need to do to fix it. Thanks for the reply and confirmation that it’s something on my end.
  8. I’m currently playing through the Kursant campaign and I’m at Mission 5(the second unguided rocket mission). In mission 3( the first bomb mission), the instructor stated that he would be talking to the Range Officer, but to pay attention to what the range officer says. However, when he speaks to the range officer, I can’t hear the range officers reply. I get the subtitles for the response, but that’s it. It is the same for mission 4. Am I missing a radio setting somewhere, is this intended, or is it a bug?
  9. I ran a 100ft Ethernet cable from downstairs to upstairs and physically uninstalled my wireless network card. Unfortunately I'm still having the same issue when connected to the internet. Edit: After noting spoolsv(process for spooling printing tasks) was a primary user of my internet connection and turning off my printer, my network usage immediately went down, and the lag went away. My printer is an Officejet 3830, that is connected to my wireless network. I could just leave the printer off while gaming, but I can already see issues arising where my wife wants to print while I'm gaming. Strangely, I don't have this issue with my laptop that's also connected to the wireless network. I've also realized I'm having the same issue in Ghost Recon Wildlands(although a lot less severe) and Splinter Cell Blacklist, in both cases turning off the printer fixed the issue.
  10. On 3, you mean with the ethernet port built into my mobo, right? It's not my network speed. I get 465Mbps download, 41.06 upload, and 13ms ping.
  11. I built this computer back in December 2018 with a primary purpose of playing DCS and other sims, and I've had constant FPS microstutters since then(issues that I never had with my weaker gaming laptop). My FPS would be at 144(screen refresh rate) on the menu and suddenly drop to 10-20, in game it would be 50-60 and drop to 8-20, which would cause discernible lag. I tried all the various fixes people suggested, installed an extra SSD just for DCS, upgraded from a 1060 to a 2080, and recently reinstalled windows all trying to resolve the issue, to no avail. Today while watching my performance in task manager, I noticed my WIFI connection is constantly fluxing. After trying everything else, I say 'Why not?', disconnect from my WIFI, and instantly my FPS goes to a steady 72FPS(144 on menu). If I turn the WIFI back on, the game starts microstuttering again. On one hand, my microstutter issue is now resolved, on the other hand, this means I can't play multiplayer. The thing I don't understand is that my laptop was always WIFI and never had issues with the connection. Looking in the resource monitor, I notice the two biggest users of my connection are svchost and dashost. Does anyone have suggestions for how to resolve this issue? My specs are: i7-9700k Geforce 2080 8gb 32gig ram at 3000mhz 500gig SSD for OS 500gig SSD for DCS 2TB Hybrid for Data and other games I'm using a Gigabyte dual channel card for my internet. On the topic of a wired connection, my router is downstairs and my computer is upstairs, also all of my Ethernet ports on my router are in use. If it would resolve my issue, I could always get an ethernet cable splitter and run a cable upstairs. I also have someone offering a free router that I could set up upstairs if that would be a viable option. I don't have these issues with any other game besides DCS. Edit:For Clarification, my firewall is allowing DCS through, and I still have the issue if I disable my firewall along with windows firewall.
  12. I'll have to try that out now! Although it would still be simpler if there was just a toggle.
  13. A was the issue, and it even says to disengage by hitting A in the tutorial.
  14. I have the Level-D 767 for FSX, and one of it's features is the ability to click the upper left corner of the FMC to make all keyboard inputs go straight to the FMC. This temporarily turns off any hotkeys, so you can directly type your input into the FMC, making input of waypoints, flap settings, runway heading a snap(wish the PMDG planes had this). I would like to see something like this for the A-10's CDU and the Ka-50's INU(I think that's the right system). Would make inserting JTAC's waypoints while in flight a little easier. Not necessarily a major feature, but the 767 has spoiled me. :P
  15. I'll try again when I get the chance. I was using the Throttle key to turn off autopilot. Right now I'm experiencing the issues with the steam version so I can't test it out. :(
