Sorry but right now Im on hollidays and can writhe only with my phone. But what I can remember - my specs: i5 8600k@4.8GHz, 16 GB ddr4 3200, 1080ti, ssd m2. Dcs settings like people in many threads talking - most important onece are shadows and AA. AA are off here and shadows are low ( because I cant play without them). Visible distant on low. The rest settings does no matter in geral but I tried low/med/hight. Steam supersampling 100% (aprox 2160px) In windows mixed reality i edited line responsible for holding 45 or 60 fps if game is lower then 90. VR headset: HP Reverb G1 (ordered G2) DCS open beta updated to the last version. No 3rd party shaders, mods etc - clear vanilla. Tried to delete and rebuild shaders folders. My PC running super smooth. Test with OCC or prime 95 for a few hours are ok. In idle my i5 is about 1% or none used. Like I said other sims are working great. In DCS I tried many variables and still have problems to achive smooth gameplay during missions. Smooth I mean 60fps in 60HZ Reverb mode or 90fps in 90Hz mode. Ok I can undestand that engine of DCS is not prepared to VR well so 90Hz is out of reach most of the time (even with 2080ti) but on 2.5.5. Ver I was able to have 60fps almost always. Now it is not possible. Frametimes... I cant remember right now will tell you later. Beside - 45 fps are not for me. I can tolerate it but in other flight sims like XP11 or P3d where not fly just over the ground and not fight on close distance. Then reprojection is ok. But in quick scenerios there is always ghosting. Finger crossed to make further improvements in DCS. If you have any ideas what can I change on my side pleqse let me know to. Thx! Great to hear working on it still. But it is not true that depends on your settings always. I have preaty decent pc and put everything on the lowest settings. Even then sometimes I have below 45fps. I wouldnt bet on Vulkan or multicore. Engine is the key. Good engine on Vulkan could do a miracles, bed engine on Vulkan will be still unplayable. 45fps is also unplayable during dogfights or ground attacks. For example engine of Il2 Sturmowik is not on Vulkan and it is not multicore but I can get 90fps during fights with a few planes on my Reverb. DCS? Sometimes lower then 45fps during free flights without enemies... with bandits or SC sometimes lower than 20fps... hard to comment. You see where is the differane. I did some more tests and performance is still very weak. On 2.5.5. with shader mod tuned to pass IC I was able to have 60fps in the free flight in Mi8 ( single player - instant action). Now with the same settings it is still below 60 so Reverb gives 30... game looks ugly (most settings to low) and not acceptable ghosting in VR. Was trying everything - diffefent settings, deleting cache, shaders etc. No way to improve it. I5 8600k @4.8GHz, 16GB ram, ssd m2, 1080ti, Reverb G1. I dont want to mention missions on SC or MP with many units. It is not acceptable. Waited many months for repair and gave my credit of trust to the Devs but nothing has changed till now... I was thinking is there a way to get back money I paid for the product that I cant use for a such a long time now? Put a lot of money in the DCS and I feel like it is lost. I decided to check DCS after more than a month... updated everything, deleted shades folders and set VR setting in the menu. PD=1. Than turned on free flight mission in Mi8. GPU render time was over 20! Wow what the hell!? My specs i5 8600k@5GHz, 16GB Ram 3200MHz, 1080ti. HP Reverb. Steam SS at 100. My framerates were at 30fps (asw for 60Hz). On 2.5.5. I could get 60fps and a much higher settings. This is terrible. Unplayable for me. Some real bad things has gonna happend here. I'm very disappointed. I bought so much of your modules, so much money put into and now it is unplayable. I know there is a stable version, but there are no servers online with that. It is not like this. ED is not doing this for us but for them. That is their job. They earn money. They sell products. Every seller should take care about quality. ED is not doing all this stuff for free. Another example. I will tell you to pay me 100$ to clean your car. You say ok, I take the money and nothing... you ask me when I clean it and my answear - two weeks ;) but more serius - Im working on this. Mayby this year. Maybe... how would you feel? +1 This! What Vincent90 said is sadly only top of the mountain. ED it is not only about F18 but about whole thing. How you design your business because from the side of manyyy your customers it doesnt work. I quit this year and only read forum time to time, with hope that someday you will change something in the development. Many of my frinds also quit last and this year. It was to much. They were very dedictated for DCS but that was too much even for them. We fly in other sims right now and many people will if you didnt change anything in your thinking. We can like flight sims, like each other, even be your free testers but after all we pay for the products and you should care about its quality. Now you dont. I really hope you will reconsider your aprouch to the game as a whole and start make changes that return hope in many of us. A lot of people will return then to this title and Im sure you will see this in your income. Right now, in this shape I would rather not recomend this game. Sorry. Im on 60Hz. So I have 30. AA and mirrors off, SS 100%. 45 is same sh#T ghosting during dogfights and quick moving target in front of you. During flying high maybe it is ok but it is NOT FS... I5 8600k@ 4.9Ghz and 1080ti. With Reverb I have 30fps in simple mission (free flight) with most things on low, and ugly stutters. Ofcourse they are polite and thanks. Becouse they have free manpower as tetesters. What can they say then... but as I said it desnt work. So many free testers and look how bad was last patch for OB. It shouldnt happen. In our community there is trend to use OB for daily MP events because OB has more features than stable version what is sometimes really needed. Game is broken in so many aspects that every patch is like heaven... but not the one like we heve last time. My oppinion is ED should revised rheir strategy for testing and for evelving their software.
