My concern is going from an old i5 and a 1070 ti, running close to 60fps at 1080p, with the appropriate graphics adjustments, to a current i7, a 4070 running at 1440p, and having the same performance. I will only have a few improvements in the image and a larger screen. I also have the option of getting a Full HD ultrawide monitor, if it gives me better performance. But it's like you said. Most of the time, the boss in multiplayer is the CPU and not the GPU.
