For some reason, I had one opportunity to see the target using the f key ... I saw a Tunguska (I think) and 2 or 3 bomb impacts near it. I kept pushing on the f key (F7 maybe) to see other ground units and it showed me friendlies (soldiers, fire trucks and the Buk battery) and it never showed me again the enemy units. Are they supposed to disappear ? Is there a way to make the target explode even if the F-117 miss it ? That would act as a safeguard in case friendly AI screw up ...

For what I can see : Right at startup it seems that the radio messages that should occur after Fang attack are mixed with the normal mission start messages. Berger and Zeus are telling Claw to advance and so on ...

Hi Baltic ! 2.5.6 and it seems to be broken again. I downloaded the version you linked above but I have a ton of radio messages just at mission launch. Fang did its run but seemed to miss and then ... nothing. Fang head back to homeplate and I just circled with Claw until bingo ... Can you have a look at this ? Thx

Hello everyone ! Trying to fly a mission of The Big Show campaign yesterday and saw that both 2.5.6 OB and Stable say that I have not the Assets Pack. It was working perfectly before the update since I finished all the WWII campaigns when in 2.5.5. I tried to desactivate, reinstall and reactivate. No joy. I think I saw some one Steam user having the same but he did not get an answer that I could work from. Anyone had this problem ? Thx !

As some said in this thread, Acting on the RDI is sometimes the solution that works, sometimes it is the alt radar. I'll try both.

I knew something was wrong ! I just flew almost every WWII campaigns above Normandy and my FPS were perfect (beside the bombing runs of the B-17s) Around 100 aircrafts in the air and the same with ground units above a proven FPS demanding map and no flaws ... Started the M2000 and did notice that immediately. When coming back to the homeplate FPS are dropping and some buttons and axis are not always responding immediately. I was thinking about the new lightings ... The bug is definitely still present on the Stable as we speak. I tried to turn off the radar altimeter with no joy. I'll try to switch the RDI off next time. Damn, this bug has been reported for so long. One more reason for not buying Razbam stuff that soon ...

[OLD BUG REPORTS] Cleaning and Organization of old posts
84-Simba replied to RAZBAM_ELMO's topic in Resolved Bugs
If I recall correctly you are not supposed to start the plane on the battery alone. The M2000-C is supposed to be started using ground power, that way you can work the INS and use the radio without having to wait until the generators are running. Starting on the battery would kill it ... I'm not a pilot IRL so I'm just relying on what I've heard from said techs and pilots here or there ... -
I admitt I checked the ''force INS Alignment'' box in the special options of the M2000. I know how to do it so ...
-
In fact, I moved every aircraft to ''open'' parking spots. So far, Mission 5 and no problem. :-)
-
I moved the parking to 08 and 09 slots and it works perfectly. I'll do it for every missions directly.
-
It appears that the aircraft on the leader is broken at startup. It misses the radar cone and the engine is not running ...

Hi Baltic ! The bug is still present on the Stable ... While I'm here, do we still have to change the month ? Thx. Simba

Hi everyone ! On my first flight over my homeland Normandy in the Spitfire (God that plane is a pain) I noticed that the Mont Saint-Michel is not modelized in DCS. It's kind of sad because it's a typical flying spot for every pilot over Normandy. I know it is not really usefull in terms of WWII but since you guys did Alexander The Great's Castle and the Abbaye in Caen maybe you could add this particular famous destination for pilots. Thank you very much. Now, back in the Huey to find my parents house :-) Best regards. Simon

** DCS: F-14 Development Update - September!! **
84-Simba replied to Cobra847's topic in DCS: F-14A & B
Stunning work !! Thank you guys !! This Jester menu should be a little see thru IMO. And be sure we can bind these Jester menu and sub-menus to a china-hat on our HOTAS and it will be perfect :-) -
Yep ! UN and Mirage campaign works like that. If you're good you go further, if not you stay where you are. I can see the point of going back on strategy action games, like Close Combat. You lose a battle then you are pushed back to your previous positions in some way. But where is the logic of having to go rescue submariners again if you can't slingload a cargo ? That is nonsense ... It's not a mission 3 problem though ...

For now the hook is still broken. But there may be another problem : I tried that mission in 1.5.8 and I achieved every tasks. When you're done with the ground targets, you're asked to tune your FM and go back to Argo. But at the end of the mission, the score is low (30). I find absolutely silly to go back to the previous mission when you are below 50. I mean, do it again ... ok. Go back to the previous one ? Who's got that idea !? Anyway, that is another story. My question is more about the scoring system inside the mission itself. Why am I so low in score ? The delivery was smooth and spot on, the shots were accurate. (And believe me I trained hard). I think it may have to deal with the flight path you take on your way back. Maybe you have to follow it very accurately ? The flight path on your kneeboard is far from a direct return. Is that where I lose points ? Maybe you guys could edit the message to be a little less confusing because you're just told to tune your FM and go back... That said, Thank you very much for the ability to skip the mission with F10 (while the hook is broken) because Mission 4 is so great that it would have been a shame no to be able to fly it !! Regards. Simon

I'm not flamming the 3rd Party nor DCS in particular. I'm not really interested in who's to blame. I'm a client ; I paid for a stable product and it's not. If it was beta, well, I would have known. But it was supposed to be ''stable''. And that is a general policy : rush unstable and unfinished products out and patch them later. Everyone is doing it and it pisses me off. I really enjoy flying the Huey. I don't mind flying several hours in a row if I don't have to do the very same flight again and again because of bugs. I find a solution though. I went back to 1.5 ...

I mean those are evident errors and bugs. It's so annoying to fly long and boring flights just to find out a bug had everything f*cked up ...

The Cargo is already 1000lbs. They've done an update recently. Just done it in 1.5 and worked like a charm. I will then copy my logbook into 2.5. I can't believe they sell a product and no one took the time to redo the campaign just to be sure everything is working ...
-
Plus : The load camera has disappeared and the indicator is not working ...

Cargo hooking is broken again (DCS 2.5.2) Tried to hover, land next to it and flying a bit from it. No way. I'm starting to get fed up with that bugfull campaign ...

FYI, The command is "Engine Stop" in the Engine & Fuel Managment submenu. Cheers
-
Perfect !! Thanks a lot buddies, dunno what I did not see that option before ... Anyway, it works like a charm !
-
I tried but I couldn't find it in the commands list. I just find the cheat commands ''engine on'' and ''engine off'' ... I'm using 1.5.8 ... Maybe in 2.2 ?

Hi there ! I hope I'm not blasting an opened door but some of us Warthog throttle users would love to map the engine shutoff button. The Warthog throttle has buttons at the bottom of the engine axis, so when we roll back the throttle before the idle detent it can activate switches (29 and 30). What we would like is to be able to map the engine shutoff button to those switches so when we pass back to idle detent it activates that button, pull virtual throttle back and shut the engine off. Well, it is not an absolute necessity but it would be a cool thing to add to that magnificent module. Please :-) Thank you, Best regards. Simon
