requested KC135 MPRS and Viper
84-Simba replied to 84-Simba's topic in Aircraft AI Bugs (Non-Combined Arms)
That's what I thought. @BIGNEWY, any info on when (if possible) that feature will be available ? -
Thanks. I'll work on that
-
Well, I thought about that but understanding those argument things (if they are usable) would help clear the airfield of a multitude of trigger zones and it would be great for other things, like bingo, weapon release and other stuff ...

Hi guys ! I tried to refuel with the Viper on a KC135 MPRS but he never returned my calls. The regular KC135 works as intended. I think the MPRS is especially made to be able to refuel both with the boom and the basket (not at the same time obviously). IRL, is that something that is chosen pre-flight or is a feature missing / DCS limitation at the time ? If it is a bug / not implemented, any ETA on this feature to be available ? Thx

Hi guys ! I'd like to create an automatic radio message for the AI to inform me that they are starting to taxi. I think I can use an argument but I have no idea how it works. Can someone enlight me on this and how I can achieve that ? Thx

need track replay CBU 105 impossible to release
84-Simba replied to RICARDOHD's topic in Bugs and Problems
Tried it yesterday and everything went right on target. I could not select another release method but CCRP. The nosewheel button did not cycle to CCIP or DTOS. Is that something intended ? -
I think you can use the regular TR-mode instead of AA-TR for now, I think it works. I prefer to use the HSD and the FCR in RWS.

fixed AGM-65F cannot change FOV when uncaged
84-Simba replied to MarcT-NL's topic in Bugs and Problems
I still think something si not right with the Maverick in the Hornet, espacially now that I'm learning the Viper and how easy it is to rifle 2 to 3 missiles in one pass. -
reported TPOD unstows itself despite being STBY (track attached)
84-Simba replied to Nealius's topic in Bugs and Problems
Hmm ... weird. It seems ED guys were supposed to have a look at it but no news since. I'll try the OVRD function to see how it behaves. -
reported TPOD unstows itself despite being STBY (track attached)
84-Simba replied to Nealius's topic in Bugs and Problems
Hi guys ! Maybe I missed something but I cannot put the TGP back to stow position after it has been activated. I have to turn it off and then back on. Pressing standbye OSB cuts the video feed but the pod stays pretty much in its last position. Is there a step I missed or is it something missing ? Thanks -
correct as is Parking brake - Antiskid transition
84-Simba replied to 84-Simba's topic in Bugs and Problems
Well, weird but once you get it you deal with it. I just push on the brakes, apply thrust and switch to AS. Coming from the Hornet the Viper is pretty special to work with. A totally different workflow. -

84-Simba replied to 84-Simba's topic in Bugs and Problems
Indeed, Applying a bit of thrust is allowing me to go from PB to AS directly. That's an interesting behaviour ... -

84-Simba replied to 84-Simba's topic in Bugs and Problems
Naaaa ... I'm not requesting for something. I just want to know if it is a bug or to understand how it works. I just have to switch back to off and then AS again. Nothing crazy -

84-Simba replied to 84-Simba's topic in Bugs and Problems
Yes, it is a true 3 positions switch I believe (it's the 3 positions flap switch on the Winwing Orion throttle base). Ok, understood for the cold and dark behaviour. I'll do a quick track then. Thanks buddies. -

84-Simba replied to 84-Simba's topic in Bugs and Problems
Okay, interesting I'll try that. But it doesn't explain why I can't go from PB directly to AS when the engine is on, does it ? -
Hi there ! I noticed something strange and could not find anything. When the Viper is cold and dark you can, using a 3-way switch, go from off to anti-skid to parking brake, and from to parking brake to anti-skid to off normaly. But when the engine is running, you can go up (off-AS-PB) but you cannot go down from PB to AS. You have to go off and then go AS. I tried with and without the brake-pedals depressed, no change. Is that something I am missing ? Thx

reported TK PRES LO above 20k feet with empty centerline tank
84-Simba replied to Nealius's topic in Bugs and Problems
Weird. In my case it happens when the centerline tank is empty. When I go to the training range the tank still has fuel and I don't have the alarm. But when I come back the tank is empty and I get the alarm holding or crossing 20k up or down. I did not tried with the large bags though. -

84-Simba replied to Nealius's topic in Bugs and Problems
A short track is difficult to get since the center line tank has to be empty and there is no option to select it empty on the mission editor (like the Tomcat I believe). Anyway, empty it, and put your Hornet at 20k exactly with the BarAlt hold and you'll hear the alarm. I've been doing the Agressor BFM Campaign the last few days and it never fails when I get to 20k sharp with the center line ext tank empty. -
reported TK PRES LO above 20k feet with empty centerline tank
84-Simba replied to Nealius's topic in Bugs and Problems
As for today, still present. Center line tank empty (and more than 5k lbs of fuel left on the aircraft) and the tank pressure appears at 20k ft exactly. As soon as you go down or up a few feet it goes away. The track file is too big since it appears on a BFM Agressor campaign solo mission over Nevada. Definitely a bug. -
No change with or without the TDC Special Option and same thing with ATFLIR and Litening pod.
-
Hi @BIGNEWY Unfortunately no joy. The TDC option is not changing anything. Again, as soon as a target is pre-designated using another sensor (pod, AG radar or HSI/SA) and is handed-off to the Maverick you cannot slew the Mav sensor. You'd have to unlock the target with the other sensor, and then try directly with the Maverick. So if for any reason the Mav sensor is pointing to another target that the one intended, you have to mash the cage/uncage button until it goes where you want. Changing the Mav FOV before hand-off seems to help a bit but attacking a moving convoy is not easy since the Mav sensor will most of the time pick up randomly any vehicule, when you want to target a specific one you point-tracked beforehand (yes, I look at you damn Shilka !!) Now the question still stands : Is that supposed to be that way IRL or is it a bug ? With all the people that seem to have this problem I'm starting to think we are not looking at the same thing or we misunderstand each other for a reason. I don't know.
-
Hi there ! Since I did not get any answer despite having provided a track for the MavF not slewing after being handed off a target from another sensor I decided to make another post to draw some attention again. You'll find the track attached. Again, the question is to know if it is supposed to be that way RL because of the limitations or working flow of the RL aircraft ... or if it is bugged. Thank you. fixed Mission 12 - Wingman crashes on deck
84-Simba replied to Sylle's topic in F/A-18C Raven One Campaign
Disregard my last post, I removed the ''read only'' option from every folder (Eagle Dynamics to Raven One Campaign) I couldn't save in ME but when I launched the mission in the campaign, the deck crew I removed was indeed gone. Strange ... but it worked as intended. I completed the mission. Got thumbleweed a couple of times but the work has been done. I did not have a ''Mission Complete'' message once I trapped on Mother (maybe because I boltered or maybe because I altered the mission). Anyway, score 190 / result 100. I'm a happy hunter. @baltic_dragon In this mission the Tomcats had a Jolly Roger liveries and did not seem to be very combative. I splashed one with the gun but the pilot did everything to make it easy though.
