I bet you can't win a BF109. beside A8 is a less powerful plane than a Dora. I don't know what level of AI you used, but this AI plane is somehow .... stupid. With decent AI, they always try to out climb you at first.
Edit: I tried against the A8, it's easy. -

Have you tried dogfighting the other planes like BF109 or FW190 ?
Max speed in a straight and level flight is nothing.
I'm not a rookie, I have years of experience dogfighting in IL-2. -

With boom and zoom tactics I managed to beat a slower P-47. But most of the time, the Bf109 easily got to my 6. Apparently turn and burn doesnt work with Bf109, even it is hard to out turn the P-47 in a horizontal dogfight.
The Corsair in DCS is very different from IL-2. I was a IL-2 player and familiar with dogfighting tactics. In IL-2 the F4U Corsair can do BnZ and TnB quite good.

I used to like the F4U corsair until flying this module in DCS. It is slow like a snail, handling like a brick.
I used to love this plane in IL-2. But flying this plane in DCS is like a pain in the a$$. Acceleration is a misery, turning is a gambling. Although I can land this plane on carrier for the first attempt and never failed. I owned all the other warbirds and flying prop planes is fun to me, except this Corsair.
how come a fast, strong plane named whistle of death is like this ? I tried dogfighting with P-47 and it was a struggling to keep up with that P-47.
I don't really understand. I may refund this plane if it is possible.

Folks, this aircraft has problem with drag with rockets. It's still draggy even after firing all rockets. |

I second this. I tested some missions and this is true.
This aircraft has problem with payload/drag/speed before and after firing rockets (don't know HVAR or Tiny Tim) -
Anyone gets random freeze flying the Sa342 on Caucasus ?

It should overwrite the entry.lua for a few of the Flaming cliffs aircraft including the F-15C. It will be replaced by a repair or an update and it would need to be extracted again. With that entry.lua there, you do not have to start in an F15C. If you still do, then the file isn't in the correct location. @Nightstorm after the latest DCS patch, the mod stopped working. I tried re-applying avionics mod but it doesn't work. What should I do now ?

Do I still need the "AIM-120 D3 and C8" mod installed when these 2 sets of missiles with the "same" name -- one spells "AIM-120D-3" and the other says "AIM-120D3"? Thanks.

I dropped the mod into Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Mods\Aircraft but it doesn't work. The plane appears and flies itself, I can't get into cockpit. What's wrong ? Mod 2.0 works fine.

Do you still get these messages appearing? Can you also disable Device Hotplugging in the DCS controls settings, it’s the button at the bottom on the right hand side. Let me know if this is already disabled.
I don't have TrackIR, I'm using Quest 3 now.
That TrackIR unplugged message popped a lot in the last few updates (all of the April updates I guess).
I have Opentrack installed but not running at the same time.The Hot Plug button is as below attachment.
I have updated to Windows 11. It has been running well for 3-4 sessions.
P/s: In Windows 11 I used Process Lasso to disable E-core and the game would be in black screen forever. Letting the game running with all cores is fine. (my CPU is i7 14700KF).

- You're running DCS as administrator, do you have another account you can use instead (for security reasons you shouldn't run stuff as administrator). I also ask this as users on Winwing MFDs experienced a similar issue when running as administrator, hence my question around TrackIR.
- You're running DCS from the bin-mt directory. Run DCS from the bin directory, they're both multithreaded and bin-mt will be removed in the future.
I'm using Quest 3. Recently I got ingame message about TrackIR unplugged a lot. I don't have another account.

Disable civil traffic.
Tuning tips are recommendations for better FPS based on your CPU, GPU and RAM.
They might result in slightly decreased display quality.unfortunately (IMO) the newer gen intel cpus cause issues. i have an 11 gen cpu and have none of these issues. it is the sales pitch of intel to claim all these cores and it is a combo of P and E cores. E cores do not play with DCS very well.

AFAIK, I upgraded the machine last week, and the problem has happened to my old PC (old i7 9700 old gen). So I don't think this is newer CPU problem.
I may try upgrading to Windows 11 to see if this still remains.Thank you again.
