  1. The first two things I thought were: Are you calling the ship's ATC to declare your intention to land? Perhaps MSAA needs to be on at least the minimum if you have it off? Like how you need it for the shkval in the Ka-50.
  2. I am starting to see other threads pop up with people having the same issue I am having. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=212913 https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=212931 Something is definitely up. While I certainly appreciate all the replies, it is not something simple with setting up the aircraft for launch, like the launch bar, or trim, or anything like that. The one post about the wind piqued my interest. The colder weather causing a problem maybe? IDK
  3. TACAN is very sensitive to line of sight. Mountains and hills will definitely block it. If you're sure you are doing everything right with the hardware and it's not locking on it's probably a LOS issue. Get some altitude.
  4. I still haven't figured it out. It is 100% repro for me when making a mission on the Caucasus map. Super simple mission from scratch, literally just the carrier and a jet, no weather, jet has no stores, super light-weight. It won't launch without using the finger lifts and forcing burn and even then I end up in the water. I can go make the same exact mission on the PG map and everything works fine. I am at a loss on this one so far. Short of trying a full uninstall reinstall IDK what to do.
  5. I made another super simple mission from scratch and even with a super light load I still get the same issue of not being able to take off from the carrier without forcing the afterburners with the finger lifts. I didn't go into the water when the plane was that light but it definitely didn't pitch up as much as is does by itself on my PG map missions.
  6. https://drive.google.com/open?id=1l_U4Gq8ayyISVxaFEQOxt2P1RZ4qIXLK Can someone tell me what mistake, probably stupid, I am making with that mission. No matter if I cold start or take a hot started jet off the carrier I end up in the drink. I've tried with stabs in 16, 17, and 18. If I give it full throttle it won't launch, but if I pull the finger lifts and force afterburners it will launch but I drop into the water. IDK what I am doing wrong in this mission. It's strange. If I go to the other couple missions that I have made everything goes smooth with launches but something is up in this one that I can't figure out. Thanks for any help. GO TO PAGE 4 FOR UPDATED INFO
  7. This is all according to the NATOPS: 1. The AUTO PILOT caution on the DDI means "autopilot did not engage or A/P disengaged after it was selected for any reason except pilot actuation of the paddle switch. The caution is removed after 10 seconds or when the paddle switch is actuated." 2. " ... basic autopilot (heading hold) is engaged by selecting the A/P pushbutton (at which time pilot relief options appear on the UFC) then selecting the ON/OFF pushbutton. Engagement is indicated by the A/P advisory on the DDI. Selecting the ON/OFF pushbutton is not required if ATTH, HSEL, BALT, RALT, or CPL [not in early access] option on the UFC is desired." I am also getting the AUTO PILOT warning on the DDI and it is not clearing when using the paddle switch to disengage autopilot. It doesn't feel like the autopilot is actually disengaging either, unless I actuate the stick. But that doesn't clear the error on the DDI either. Probably just still a bit wonky being it's early access.
  8. Restart your PC/laptop and try again. It did something similar to me and hung on "updating myself" but wasn't actually updating and then the game would just launch without an update. After a restart and going to the Eagle Dynamics start menu folder and selecting the updater everything went smoothly.
  9. Thanks for all your suggestions and input. I'll play around with it some more today using the feedback you all gave and I'll also try to get a video.
  10. This only started with the 2.5 update. I was playing with someone in multiplayer and they brought up the same thing without me saying anything about it. The plane wants to pull hard left on take off. I have to use toe brake to keep it going straight until I get enough rudder authority. I have checked all my binds and cleared all axis bindings that aren't being used and even cleared and rebound the rudder. I have seen a few other posts where people are saying it's pulling left on them when they are landing but I am seeing it on take off so IDK but I definitely feel like something is up. Anyone else been feeling it pull left on during take off or have any other troubleshooting suggestions for me to try?
  11. Ok so what is happening is if I turn deferred shading off that's when the old style NVGs come back. Is this expected?
  12. Yea that did the trick. Do you know what exactly it was in the saved games folder that was causing it?? What stuff is safe to copy and bring back over to the new folder that was created? I guess key bindings and mission editor stuff is all I would want to copy back over and none of that should have anything to do with the NVG thing. Thanks for your help.
  13. I am stuck with the old style NVGs. I did a full uninstall and reinstall and 2.5 beta is the only client I have installed. I can't get the new style NVG's. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
