  1. Agreed I just wanted some clarification to what exactally that means
  2. Thats consistent with what I observe, the TOR radar is very modern, there is a documentary on it on youtube that shows it detecting tiny stuff (as well as engaging free falling bombs)
  3. "AGM-84D Harpoon network trajectory fixed" So what does that mean?
  4. Same happens with speedboats, its quite annoying if the ship you are attacking have speedboats around the garpoon targets it and keeps trying to do 360s to hit it and ignore the ships, im thinking they should probably detect the ships first sincr well... theyre huge
  5. Since it's program based i'm pretty sure the program should stay on all stations, as it happens in all other weapons
  6. Sometimes (High low or med alt) it detects the targets at about 20nm, most times about 8, sometimes on High it doesn't detect at all and overflies at high altitude Also it did only 5% damage to the small Grisha, don't know if thats correct
  7. Alright so first of all great system, I love it and it's a lot a fun, but i found a few of pretty big bugs for you to work out on the initial release: First: If you have a program set, after you fire one missile you can still se the same program, but the heading is actually reset to 000, way around it is to deselect and reselect harpoon and reinsert the bering (pretty sure if you step it actually resets the program to whatever is actually in the missile). Not sure if this is correct behaviour tho but the way I see it the program is for all missiles not the selected one Second: say I have a launch altitude of 15k feet and set FLT to High, missile won't climb to 30kft (if it's suppose to) Third: Missile detects target at about 8nm at 15kft, does a way to shallow dive and compleatly overshoots above targets Forth: After you shoot one harpoon, the program is kind of "frozen" (i.e. you press FLT to change altitude and it won't change on the program) work around is to deselect and reselect the harpoon Got a track included that shows this testings but nothing special pretty sure everyone can reproduce them easily, running some more will report back if I find further issues server-20190814-141257.trk
  8. yeah same, but i think it was a bug not suppose to happen yet haha
  9. So is it possible to move the radar search area left and right when you are in a say 60deg search? Think it should but i never managed to, or is it not yet avalible?
  10. That's just incorect, no plane in the world would land without assessing the stopping distance, of course they are not gonna be fiddling with it in the cockpit unless something very unexpected happens and in doubt, IRL they would know all the possible alternate fields were the airplane "fits" as per landing distance, no one lands a plane guessing if it will stop or not, unless it's an extreme emergency in which case a fighter pilot would just eject
  11. Ahh cool, thanks! Will try if happens again, was the first occurance in many flights this patch
  12. Ownship incorrect position? Hello, So today I got on Buddyspike Caucasus for some ground pounding on a FARP that is suppose to be 50ish miles away (tuapse), I imput its coordinates select wp1 and it shows about 200nm... So ok I must have typed it wrong, double checked the coordinates, tripe, checked it 4 times, it was correct. So I think alright disregard that I'll just find it visually, and visually found it I did, located the targets on my TGP and for my surprise when I set them as target they show as beeing 200ish miles away... Now that's confusing, I have alinged my INS as usual then set it to NAV (not sure if even matters at this point in EA but I do it anyways) It's just like the plane though it were somere different entirelly, have many many hours on the hornet, never had that happen before Track on link (too big to upload here) https://www.dropbox.com/s/qrfpeznirliehhl/BLUE-FLAG.1052-CTLD-Hornet-Red-Mirage-Blue.miz-dynamic-20190809-160440.trk?dl=0
  13. The way I see it, say the range should actually be 8nm and beyong that it's not strong enough to guide, then whatever weapon shoudn't lock it at all beyon this range, not lock the "spot in sapce", or even just lose track if we fly further away
  14. Alright so can we all agree that the brakes are terrible, the a-skid is useless and it needs to be looked at?
  15. I did a pretty extensive post with lots of testing on the anti-skid before on controlled enviorement (as it gets) gettings the same distances with a-skid on and off, it was dismissed and i let it go, you can find if in this forum if you search for it

    JDAM TTI

    Thanks NineLine!

    JDAM TTI

I'm aware, that's not my question

    JDAM TTI

First of all I undestand this is an in development system, my question tho is simple: is the TTI timer on the HUD exclusive to laser-guided weapons (so you can time your sparkle) or is it coming to JDAMS as well on future updates? THanks
  19. So, I'm just beeing curious here first of all I was reading trough the bugs and someone reported a known "issue" with laser with DCS, which have a range of 8NM where the spot floats, the issue was marked as "not bug", which brings to my curiosity, in real life, optimal/semi-optimal conditions, from how far away can you actually guide a bomb/Mav to a target using the laser of the TPOD (Ligheting/ATFLIR if there is a difference?) Sounds a little short to me on a clear day, but then again I'm just guessing I'm sure someone has better info to give. Thanks!
  20. Dude chill if you want to be ultra-realistic about the date of the model it can be balanced server side, some people just wanna get the aircraft and have fun with their buddis with the most number of toys avalible, such preciosism
  21. Thats very true but i Got 8 out of 8 hits with JSOWS using the TPOD to aim them at about 35nm, you just need to take your time to get it exactally right and aim right on the base of the veichle (IE the ground under them)
  22. Problem would still happen if I fly very close to it, and would blink into image rarelly from far away, also sometimes some ships of the battleghoup would be invisible even in the F9 view
  23. GBU-39 First operational use was in Oct 2006 (on the Strike Eagle), I would REALLY hope we could kind of strech it here to make this awesome piece of equipment avalible on our F-16, would be a lot of fun and a unique weapon to it (same as happened to the JSOW due to public demand)
  24. Hi So was running some carrier strike on the famous Krasnodar Ground attack mission, found the carriers smoke on the FLIR, turns out when looking at it the FLIR goes crazy as if looking at a very bright light Also, on TV mode the carrier is invisible most times (it blinked in picture a few times for not long), I all could see is the smoke and the water trail behind it and waves in front, Also I could not point track it Some screenshots included with TV and FLIR, as well as the track and dxdiag, track file can be found on this link (couldnt upload file too large) https://www.dropbox.com/s/udyaupdm966wudh/Krasnodar%20ground%20attack%20v14-20190801-210738.trk?dl=0 PS: THERE IS NOT ANY KIND OF FOG OR COULDS to mess with the non-flir image, it blinked a couple times in view, it's just bugged invisible most times Also settings are almost maxed out DxDiag.txt
  25. Yeah that would suffice, maybe even some animation from water droplets going out of cracks, and just disapearing on the terrain after, that would be fine and look cool
