    Hi,

we have a report open for additional weapons for the S-3B but currently it is lower priority.

    thank you

S-3B still uses old LOMAC era EFT (external fuel tank) 3D model. S-3R got a detailed fuel tank.
At least you should export as EDM a nicer/newer EFT model from/under the right wing of the S-3R (s-3-ptb.edm)
    Thanks

That models has into a new directory called "HeavyGearCore".... with a new extension called .edce, no the old EDM, unable to open by the Modelviewer.

Exactly. Moreover those (ED-Crypted-Extension?) files are a pack:
(Shapes/Aircraft.edce, Tech.edce) contains numerous 3D models. Another reason why we need a "viewer" which able to visualize those models for skinning/texturing outside of the Core-Game. : without restart DCS every time and check the changes in Encyclopedia/Loadout View or in the Sim itself.

  3. The point is: you cannot load into ModelViewer numerous new/detailed ground vehicles (Abrams etc.), the new B-1B, S-3B/R, B-52H and the new F-5E-3 to check alignments/joints on the skins. You need to restart DCS every time and check the changes in Encyclopedia/Loadout View or in the Sim itself. 😬

  4. Nice job VinntoreZ 👍
However I agree with YoYo. The shock absorbers/struts (primarily at the front but for the main wheels too)  - it's not short but : should be in a pushed out/expanded position.
    Front
wheel support/holder fork/arm in your screenshot about 45 degrees but it should be around 65-70 degrees (angle to ground). - of course it can be less with a fully loaded/armed aircraft.

Are we contributing the global warmings due to heat from CPU/GPU because of running DCS constantly? No way!! LOL 🙂

🤣 IMHO It just depends on the number of polygons visible on our screens :hehe:

  6. Scott, I forgot to mention/report (maybe others already did) but approx half a year ago when a weapon (bombs) update/addon came out for the F-4E Phantom and we got a long (actually a tall) list on the screen in the PAINT AND LOADOUT window, (pylon 2 & 8 with bombs) so we cannot see the full bomb list when using 1920*1080 resolution (I like it better when my GFX-card-fans are noiseless therefore the lower res.).
    - Mudhen anf Viper bombs list (bomb-column-list) close to "full" also - well, it's a bug and a wish same time: we need up/down arrows on the top/bottom of weapon column-lists or a slider to display a larger selection of bombs
GBU-12, GBU-24, GBU-8, MK-84 AIR is missing/not visible when 1920*1080 res is active. (@ the bottom of the column)

    1920*1080

Nothing a nuclear winter can't solve.

Would be better to avoid that for everyone: the next ice-age.
However an environmental ice-age sounds a bit  better than a thermonuclear ice-age.

its hotter in my office than outside lol, aircon being installed at the end of the month 🙂

I had an A+++ air conditioning installed last autumn after 20 years (38cm width ceramic bricks + air gap + "breathing" insulation =(half a meter thick wall) + 3-layer glazing with argon in the windows, 22C inside, 32C outside without AC today), but I was more worried: if  the heating-gas will no longer come from Russia/Turkey/Kazakhstan?, so at least I could heat my study with electrically wintertime.

I dont know where you are in the world, but I am in the UK and my office is currently 34 degrees.

OMG Scott, That temperature is awfully high. You seem to be handling the heat very well, and so is your computer. :surprise:
    BTW:
What's the temperature outside there ?

  10. Ok, thanks 👍
Asked the other needed map(s) coz Modern-Marianas is 14.3 GB
BTW: has the map become bigger ? Is Iwo Jima island included ? (Iwo Jima is just outside the boundaries of the Modern-Marianas map)

  11. Is this new Marianas WWII map mandatory now ?
I mean, does it come with the patch ?

Or will it be an optional install after this 2.9.17 patch ?
Will it need anything from the Modern Marianas map-folders (or Caucasus map-folders) ?

I thought I would say, the zip file (v1.1) missing a "deeper" F-15C folder: Files need to go into: C:\Users\yourusername\Saved Games\DCS\Liveries\F-15C

  13. " it is easy for me to chose: overwrite the AIM-7M files with my AIM-7F preference. "
Yeah you can do this, but you will see that white 7F texture on the 7M model too

    AIM-7F:
The main problem is the AIM-7F.edm got material name as "AIM-7M"  therefore it fights always with the AIM-7.edm (that's the 7M using the same name "AIM-7M") and does not matter how/when 7F tries to call a different 7F texture from description.lua(s) the material name is what primarily determined - it will use 7M texture.
The problem is only 1 byte in the edm file: (7F - 7M). I can fix this problem (already did) but causes IC fail.

F-15C uses 7E model of HB. Shouldn't this be white too? Much whiter ?
    AIM-7P and HB_AIM-7E2:  are those realistic to put on an Eagle ?   maybe 7E2 on early 15A, 7P for late/current 15C or 15E ? Possible IRL ?

BTW: discovered another problem with skins: (log file)
f15_helmet_RoughMet' not found. Asked from ''
Need to correct in all the description.lua to "pilot_f15_helmet_RoughMet" or rename all the files in skin folders: pilot_f15_helmet_RoughMet.dds to f15_helmet_RoughMet.dds
