I've experienced the same, and I can't provide a fix or answer your question, however I can suggest a solution. If you use Oculus Debug Tool, setting ASW on, off, or auto still works.
-
They’ve not worked consistently for me for a while now. I’ve been using Oculus Debug Tool to turn off ASW before entering the sim.

Yeah, I think the CH-47 experience is the one that finally put me out of the pre-purchase world. I haven’t bought the MiG-29 and won’t until it is launched and shown to be in some basic functional state, and until we can see that the pace of updates / development is reasonable.

I had exactly this in both the A-10 and the F-18 over the past week while flying the Afghanistan map. While descending to land, the plane suddenly had a wild pitch-up force, as if the trim had suddenly been adjusted to full-up.

I agree with your list. I know it sounds silly, but having watched quite a bit of TPOD and TADS footage from Operation Enduring Freedom, some mandatory counter-insurgency focused assets include: - Toyota light pickup trucks with guns mounted on them. - Cheap vans with stuff hidden inside them. - Goats, dogs, and chickens. - All varieties of mopeds and motorcycles. - Cave entrances for sure. A fair amount of heavy ordnance was expended blowing up caves. - IEDs & buried explosives for sure. A tremendous amount of aviation assets were focused on convoy escorts, with an emphasis on finding IEDs and buried explosives before the convoy stumbles onto them. Just some thoughts.

Totally agree. Almost pointless to have an Afghanistan map without a broader variety of insurgent units. Badly needed.

Hi All, Yesterday evening I was flying a Retribution mission in the F-4E. Most of my time in the Heatblur Phantom so far has been air to ground focused, but there were a couple of bandits reported by AWACS between me and the target, so I flipped over to the air to air sight mode, called up the radar missile mode, went master arm on, and started searching. Jester was agreeable to changing to a 50nm narrow scan. Heck, he even agreed to going to a 20nm narrow scan, although the range indicator on my control panel continued to say 50nm (did he make the change?). However when I tried telling him to scan at specific ranges and altitudes using the Jester menu, he flat refused. I tried basically every range and altitude, and he would just say "unable", or "no can do boss", or whatever. What am I missing? At one point I could even clearly see the targets on the screen, but he refused to acknowledge or lock them either through the menu or the Jester context button. *edit: spelling

Now I'm wondering if it is just an F-4E general bug. In hindsight I had a similar experience, but not in this mission or at this point. The plane started wildly rolling, I thought it must be some sort of random failure, but I was able to trim it out. Weird.

I updated the Meta App, the device, and the NVidia drivers all on the same day a few days ago. Since then, my Quest 3 crashes regularly while in DCS as well as doing other unusual stuff. I've been using Virtual Desktop since then, which also just released a pretty impressive beta update, and it is working as well as I've seen it work. I'd say it is a good solution until Meta gets their act together, which I believe is causing the current Link issues.

Bumping this. Handoff still doesn’t work to cycle threats.

I posted in their forum today. We’ll see. -

I had the same issue in two separate attempts. Low utility hyd pressure, flashing “wheels” caution. -
Hello all, I am currently flying Reflected's outstanding Red Flag 81-2 campaign. In the first combat mission, Mission 1, I have tried it three times and two of the times, I have had the utility hydraulic pressure drop to zero, triggering a master caution light and a flashing "wheels" warning. The plane otherwise flies fine. I also noticed on landing, the utility hydraulic pressure returned to normal. Not sure if I am missing something, doing something to cause this, or if it is a bug. I'd attach the track file but it is too large. Any thoughts?

Is there a choice regarding bombing mode selection?

First, I enjoyed your write-up. Next, one of the best things about Reflected’s campaigns is that if you suck at something, if you put in the time and work at it through his campaigns, it’ll noticeably improve your skill set. I was terrible at formation flying, simple stuff like holding a consistent altitude through a high-g turn, flying maneuvers and hitting the numbers, and the Speed and Angels campaign has made me an expert. I think you’d see similar progress with direct bombing in the F-4E. Finally, don’t be afraid to throw a paragraph break into your writing here and there. I almost had a stroke reading that! -
Man, SteamVR being the best OpenXR runtime for a Q3 with a NVidia GPU would be a new one for me. I haven't tried SteamVR in well over a year because of how poorly it performed back then and how much overhead is associated with running it. Can anyone else corroborate this or is this unique for @Buzzer1977?
