  1. Hey you all! This one is finally back on track and I'm looking for beta testers to fly some of these missions. Hit me a message if you're interested!
  2. Hey everyone. A little update; unfortunately there will be a little postpone in the release for the previously anticipated late 2018. Things are progressing as we speak but I feel I need more time and I would also like to have HARM features included in one of the missions I'm working on. As far as I'm concerned it's not that far with the Hornet module. I will let you know as soon as I have news. Happy holidays!
  3. Many thanks! Working on it hard after a little break. Thank you, glad you enjoyed it! A lot of effort has been focused on this to create different type of atmosphere on these missions. I’m working on voice overs now and waiting for some new features for the Hornet. Might make it 12 missions. Still aiming late 2018.
  4. Thanks! It's coming along pretty good. I was on a vacation the last two weeks but now back in business. You can follow the progress on this website: https://daemonicus.wixsite.com/farfromnorth A few more missions to plan/write/design and then I can move to voice-overs and debugging etc. It should be all complete by the end of the year. I'm also looking forward to include more features as the F/A-18C module is progressing.
  5. Hey, thanks for your feedback! There is supposed to be a Mission Success-message but it's connected to debriefing trigger that includes some chatter on your way back home. It takes maybe even a little too precise flying at the moment, will take a look. It is a bit quiet mission yes, but after all you are flying alone and it's early morning so I think we can skip some chatter there :) And the finnish part: Aika on hieman kortilla kampanjan rakentamisen ja testaamisen kanssa, joten täytynee katsella DCS Finlandia paremmalla ajalla. Kiitos joka tapauksessa infoista, pistetään skini lataukseen. :) EDIT: Vastoin aiempaa vastaustani, kampanjan sisältö itse asiassa mahdollistaa sen, että voidaan jättää siipi-ripustimet pois. Kiitos ehdotuksesta!
  6. Many thanks mate! Indeed it seems the altitude was the issue here. I have updated the mission to V1.1 and added Magic to instruct you to climb and maintain angels 10 until WP9. Thanks again for your feedback!
  7. Welcome to ”Far From North”, a work in progress, story driven F/A-18C Hornet single player campaign for DCS World! This campaign will take place in Caucasus map of DCS World and put you in a cockpit of a Finnish Air Force F/A-18C Hornet in the following fictional circumstances: Due to rising concerns for the tensions at the Baltic Sea region, Finland has requested to be a member of NATO alliance in 2005. Being the second new member after Georgia joined in 2004, Finnish Air Force is now starting to take part in military operations as a role of a ”peacekeeper” in the southern Georgia area of operations. This is closely associated with allied cargo and second hand military flight operations and the Finnish force will therefore operate from Batumi International Airport with two visiting F/A-18C aircraft. During your ten mission long sortie in Georgia, you will encounter various different types of missions from reconnaissance flights to SAR assist, CAP and escort duties, without forgetting the carrier. The primary focus and goal in the mission design of this campaign is on realism and immersion, instead of ”all out war”- oriented situations or gameplay. This campaign includes voice-overs, subtitles, additional radio chatter samples, F10 menu options and more. The F/A-18C aircraft module from DCS store is required to play. The first sample mission titled "The Morning Fog" from this campaign is now available to download below. Ratings and comments at the user file section as well as forums are highly welcome! Stay tuned for more, the ETA for the complete package is TBA. More information will be posted here as the mission build is progressing. DOWNLOAD SAMPLE MISSION "THE MORNING FOG": https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3301223/ Please note that this is a trigger based mission/campaign that requires you to navigate and operate in a fairly precise manner and also requires you to land and taxi your aircraft back to your starting point for a mission success. I also made a quick webpage to keep things tidy: https://daemonicus.wixsite.com/farfromnorth Looking forward to hear your feedback! Thanks for flying and of course sorry for my second language! :smilewink: -daemonicus EDIT: Changed campaign time/year to better suit the mission content and other aircraft involved in the missions (ie. F-14 & S-3 still in operation).
  8. What a masterpiece you've created, cheers ED!
  9. So far it's been the F-15 and single player campaigns, mainly The Georgian War, which is really good. I ordered a Mantiz Venus eGPU, 1080ti, TrackIR 5 and TM Warthog on my 2.5 beta excitement and I just can't get enough of the beauty of this plane and the game in general. Pre-ordered the F-18 and looking forward to jump into multiplayer soon. Happy flying everyone, and thanks ED for this awesome product!
  10. Recently finished The Georgian War campaign on 2.5. No issues for me, highly recommended.
  11. Just completed the campaign. I was blown away from mission one, all I can say is absolutely stunning work everyone involved! This was easily the greatest, the most realistic and the most authentic gaming experience of my life! 2.5 beta, very minor issues/bugs, solid experience. Struggled like crazy with some missions but damn how rewarding it was! Ps. You actually made me buy TM Warthog Hotas, TrackIR5, Mantiz eGPU & 1080Ti on the way, so I truly wish there will be another one to enjoy at some point! :D Thank you!
