  1. Potentiometers, There the electronic component that translates the movement of the joystick into an electrical signal.. Just put X52 and potentiometer into Google.
  2. Had both X-52 Pro & standard. Don't touch them! the pots in them are awful.
  3. Cheers Ghost, the Franken Potato is awesome. Loved how you signed each one individually ;) . I feel reassured by your response!. All the sticks I've had the pots have always given up the ghost within a year. You obviously have a lot of confidence in CH Products. Can't wait till my Fighter stick & pro throttle arrives!. BTW forgot to ask can I cannibalize parts from a fighterstick with a gameport connection?.
  4. Hey Ghost are you the inventor of the Franken potato that I read about on the hangar?. Been reading as much as possible about the stick. Ghost if things like pots did deteriorate do CH offer replacements? and are they expensive?. Cheers.
  5. Thanks for that Cali, I had heard they were reliable but 7+ years for pots is damn good. I feel alot more reassured now. Think I'm going to buy.
  6. Ive just been offered the fighterstick and pro throttle for £55. It has no spiking and looks mint, would you advise if this is worth it?. Any advise of CH owners would be appreciated. Any thing I should be aware of?

    BF3 players?

Any fellow BF3 Players in here? thinking of organizing an ED forum members match if anyone's up for it. Here's my profile: http://battlelog.battlefield.com/bf3/soldier/Inyowface/stats/352201776/
  9. Is this the BF3 forum?. Lolz just unbeleivable.
  10. He doesn't read anything manually he doesn't need to. In FC2 all the values in memory aren't encrypted so all he has to do is find where the user id is held in memory and edit the data in the packet before it's sent to the presentation layer. Because FC2's packets are encrypted you can't filter them either. Unless you really know what your doing you're not going to stop it.
  11. The F-35 can never fill the role of the A-10 against large amounts of armour.
  12. Tucanos may have their place, but that place is very limited. They certainly not a valid alternative to the A-10A/C. Sure the last 2 wars have been against cavemen but their the exception and not the rule.
  13. The A-10 offers alot more than 30mm of death, it offers high probabilty of survival, I'm sure those A-10A pilots in Kosovo were glad they were in a titanium bathtub when the Serb's started firing Strelas at them. Cheap CAS Tucanos are OK against cavemen but not for use against anyone with decent kit.
  14. Great video but can you spot the mistake?.
  15. Their using WPE Pro and probably artmoney. Their flooding the servers with filtered packets to reset lockon.exe. This can be run through proxies and is autonomous using WPE. The only permanent fix is a code change. They can change user names and user ID's. They can turn game settings on and off and change any data they like. IC wont help because they dont need to alter any files the exploit works on the presentation and session layer. You won't beat them because WPE Pro/Artmoney make them more powerful than the admins. The only way to beat them is to make an anticrash/exploit filter using WPE Pro to filter all offending TCP/UDP packet/s to the application/presentation layer of lockon.exe WPE pro can defend you from attacks by filtering suspect packets. The reason he can start in the air and not at base is because it's an option in game and he can turn this on and off to his liking. *EDIT Just checked all fc2.exe packets are encrypted so you cant filter the offending packets, good luck. He's got to be using a memory editor combined with WPE's proxie for the attacks. Devs are gonna have to encrypt all values in memory to fix this.
  16. Well everyone else seems to think it's better than the H series coolers. See that heatsink that resembles the Sydney opera house on your P8P67? That keeps the mosfet's cool. You got little airflow over that. Toasty. Maintenance?. on a 250,000 HR MTBF fan lol. The real maintenance is keeping that rad clear of dust when it builds up. I didn't ignore it you did. ;) You didn't know that each series consumes different amounts of power. You should see the margin when OC'd. That graph represents power consumption for a single tested chip where in the world of reality every die is different. ;)
  17. You have H60? video was H70!. You have 2500K. Video was 2600K. Like I said different beasts. So you're pulling warm air over the rad?. Can you say toasty mosfets?. Don't have that problem with D14.
  18. 4.5ghz OC on an i5 2500K @ 70c is average, 2600K temp will be higher, hence why I was a bit surprised @ 55c on an H70. D14 would be better ;) Are you pushing hot air from the rad into the case from that exhaust? or pulling hot air from the case?. ;)
  19. You showed me the stock CPU power consumption. Not one that's been OC'd. Do you really think all dies are the same?. Like I said you can't compare 2500K and 2600K series there different. I'd like to see your results of prime95 for 1 hour with CPU-Z screenshot.
  20. I'm not exaggerating. Die quality and country of manafacture can definately make an impact on temps. Those charts made nothing moot. You were wrong about power consumption and you're wrong about this. All CPU's vary, no die is ever exactly the same, die process varies from different contries of manafacture too. Sure it's nitpicking. But like I said I have seen claims of 10c fluctutations in K series.
  21. I didn't say I didn't beleive you it's just that I've seen alot of evidence to the contary for temps of 4.6ghz @ 55C. The video below shows the H70 in open air at 4.7ghz in the high 80's and at 03:58 it blue screens.
  22. There's more variables than that, die quality, country of manafacture. I've seen 10c difference on some K series comparisons.
  23. The 2600K has higher vcore temps because of Hyperthreading. If you don't beleive me ask on any OC forum.
  24. Lol Pilot as I've already stated your 2500K has 4 cores compared to 2600K. 2600K HT increases power consumption which increases vcore temps. HT gives 2600K 4 cores and 4 virtual cores= 8 threads. Different beast. What you testing with prime95?.
  25. Both 2600K's and 2500K's don't. HT increases vcore temps. No HT on 2500K. There is HT on 2600K. 2600K with HT enabled runs at a higher vcore temp, that's why temps are lower on a OC 2500k than a 2600K. Nice charts but any OC'er will tell you which one is better from real world tests. I don't need to justify the D14's performance to anyone there's many OC forums that'll enlighten you to that. Those charts are based on stock not OC. Unlike closed loop passive coolers, The D14 improves the more the temps rise. Closed loop coolers with a small surface area can't dissipate the heat as quickly. The fans on the D14 are far superiour in quality and performance compared to H series fans. There's no argument. I remember the noise on my H50. Enough said.
