  1. Thanks for the checklist this will be very handy indeed.
  2. I was thinking that if you Guy's who are repetitively tapping the screen with the face of the contact point will it damage and ruin the clarity of your screen? I'd at least cover the face of the contact point with some type of PTFE paint or tape and use a switch with as little mechanical resistance as possible. Repetitive pressure on an LCD screen can't be a good thing long term.
  3. Intresting discussion. Agreed. FOV does increase cubic capacity in relation to distance. Wiki has published false information in regards to the Wiimote it has a resolution of 1024x768. The FT dev also states this on the FT website. (even Wiki advise's on that link that this resolution has been reported) With that type of resolution distance's of upto 5 meters will be visible and very accurate tracking on the Wiimote's camera. The adult human eye cant see no more than 35 FPS on a screen. The Wiimote and FT work in real time so if you get 100 FPS from the Wiimote IR camera you'll get 100 FPS of tracking from the software. Interpolation is software based and it is no way a substitute for real hardware based FPS. The Wiimote is superiour to any webcam. Even FT's Dev states it's far superiour. I corrected the hardware specs of the two IR camera's.
  4. With the affinity mod Vista runs BS more efficiently with good FPS.
  5. Guys I use the Wiimote with FT which works as good as TIR4 for 6DOF. The WIImote is able to track 4 points would it be possible to use one wiimote to track finger presses (1 point) and head tracking (3 points for 6DOF)?. Guys just so you all know buy a genuine wiimote because the copies are inferiour and are able to track only 2 points.
  6. Thanks for the reply Airtito. Most informative. RC heli flying and this sim don't mix! IRL the gyro on my RC helo holds the heading and also trims the rudder out.. This is why I'm getting confused!. Just out of curiousity why doesn't the KA-50's AP auto trim the rudder to the desired heading using the gyro?. Why does the rudder need to be manually trimmed?. Here's a bucking Broncho.
  7. +1 Quarrion your the man. Great work. I love 2.2 because I use the WIImote for a whiteboard and for headtracking. Head tracking in FT 2.2 is just as good as TIR4 now.
  8. Hi Everyone. I cant seem to hold my heading reliably in the BS. I slew to the desired heading and press trim and centre the stick but the BS still slews slowly either left or right? pressing the trim button should tell the AP's gyro to hold that heading. The AP hold heading is a right handful on the BS! why does the gyro on the BS's AP act like a bucking broncho?. IRL gyros can hold a heli to within -/+ 2 degrees!.
  9. FT 6DOF still works in the Russian version without using PPJoy which is another reason why I've chosen to stick with the Russian version. The dev's have done a good job making this sim and you cant blame the dev's for NP's decision to have input.dll protected by StarForce. PPJoy uses too many CPU cycles to be viable.
  10. Hi AirTito. The Raptor's canopy is not laminated. The canopy is fabricated from one single sheet of polycarbonate that's heated up close to a liquid and draped over a mould if I remember correctly. The yellow tint is ITO. ITO in thick layers amplifies and refracts yellow light in the visible spectrum giving the Raptor's canopy its trademark rich yellow colour. The coating of ITO is applied to the inside of the canopy on the Raptor and not on the exterior eliminating wear and tear to the coating. It's worth noting that when ITO is applied in thin layers it is only visible in the infrared spectrum making it invisible to the human eye. Just because you cant see the trademark yellow tint of ITO on the Raptor's canopy in that picture it doesn't mean that it's not there. http://www.evaporatedcoatings.com/trans.htm http://www.evaporatedcoatings.com/969.htm http://www.evaporatedcoatings.com/949.htm
  11. Nice read. Quote number 26 is interesting. Thanks for posting this.
  12. Groove no one pays RRP's. F3. http://www.play.com/Games/PC/4-/5483399/Fallout-3/Product.html?cm_mmc=Froogle-_-VideoGames-_-Strategy-_-Fallout+3&source=5063&engine=froogle_videogames&keyword=Fallout+3+(PC) COD4 http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/174666/call-of-duty-4-pc-20-49-cd-wow/ COD5 £23 quid at ASDA on offer.
  13. Variety is the spice of life Bucic :). I'm a gamer. I'm not a dedicated genre fan. I like RPG, FPS, Stratergy and sims. Fallout 3 is an awesome game that's why it has a huge fanbase.
  14. Apologies my bad. I did not know that modding files in a game is illegal.
  15. Black Shark English version is £34 which is very expensive compared to Fallout 3 that is in ASDA for £24. COD4 £19 at Soft UK. COD5 £23 at CDWOW. I got the Russian Black Shark DVD for £12 which is a much cheaper price and I've now decided I'm going to stick with the Russian version. I just wish someone would mod the Russian version into the English version which should be a breeze for someone who has the International version.
