  1. Here you are wrong my friend; the Su-30MKI does not have a AESA radar while the F-16 block 60 does ;). So in a BVR fight the F-16 SHOULD be able to see the Su-30MKI a lot sooner and be able to dictate the terms of the engagement. WVR is a different story.
  2. I don't want to digress from the topic but in a realistic scenario a lot of enemy aircraft will be taken out with cruise missiles and JDAM's at standoff ranges. The F-22 and the F-35 will have a clear advantage over any 4th gen fighter and enemy ground based radars. So a numerical advantage is negated by technology.
  3. The fact remains that the Su-27/Su-30 family of aircraft will not have any other advantage over the Mirage-2000 or F-16 that the F-22 faced.
  4. Great video. It has me salivating for DCS F:15 :D
  5. No newbie thread is complete without the ol "RTFM welcome".
  6. They don't call it "Phantom" for nothing ;)
  7. The F-5S and F-5T are able to carry the AMRAAM.
  8. I would rather see a 4th Gen fighter. The F-5 is a great option (it's never been modeled in great detail in a study sim) however it would not be able to compete against much of anything. Again Eagle is not going to be able to model every single system accurately . For example some of the RWR symbology in Falcon 4.0 Allied Force is a best guess (because some of it was classified) and I don't recall hearing complaints from the community; I think our community would understand.
  9. I don't think any military would give any developer detail of that type for a consumer product. A best guess would be sufficient IMHO.
  10. Most of the Superhorent's weapons have been modeled to an accurate detail in Jane's F/A-18 and Falcon 4.0 Allied Force.
  11. They used real documentation ( U.S. Navy NATOPS flight manuals) and received help from the US Navy.
  12. I doubt we'll see good AWACS until we see DCS F-15, etc.
  13. You mean seeing it shot down :D
  14. Back to topic boys =) I would love to see an F/A-18E module with great carrier ops added to the DCS series. Enough info for the F/A-18E is declassified (look at VRS Simulations) to be able to do so.
  15. Ouch if that happened with the US AirForce and US Army some heads would definitely roll.
  16. Where did I say Russian pilots we're bad? I only stated a fact that US pilots get more flight hours.
  17. Guys a kill is a kill; I mean would you dispute A2A kills in WWII when fighter's shot down blimps? US pilots get a lot more flying time than Russian pilots and the US Airforce flying and fighting in so many conflicts is actually an ADVANTAGE; it gives the pilots real world fighting experience. Mig-29's we're shot down in Iraq and Kosovo guys...we're they on equal parity with Russian Migs; no but how many export models are. You guys a focusing too much on the aircraft and not the pilots, the pilot is quintessential not the plane.
  18. It reportedly costs $100 Million dollars. But I've been scouring the internet for info on the radar and some of the other indigenous systems but can't find anything of substance. You've hid it's secrets very well Topol-m :P
  19. It would be great if third-parties we're able to make add-on aircraft a la FSX.
  20. Nope erectile dysfunction it is. :music_whistling::lol:
  21. How does the F-2 compare to Block 50/52 F-16's?
  22. Hmmm E-2C Hawkeye? Looks like an EW station though.
  23. Yes Topol-m works for the "Cabinet Intelligence & Research Office" and has thus been fed diagrams of diffrent military hardware dating back to the first world war.;)
  24. I doubt it; I would bet that the PAK-FA will have traditional 3D thrust vectoring.
