How can they score the T-50 on anything when little is known about it's radar, the data link that it will incorporate, the EWS it will use, etc. I mean as far as I am concerned this is merely a tech demonstrator, the Russians have to develop the following: - AESA radar with LPI and possibly multi-antenna suite - brand-new jet engines enabling supercruise - integrated electro-optical IRST/EW suite (DAS + EOTS) - integrated self-protection and jamming system (Barracuda, SPECTRE) - advanced RAM materials - net-centric technology - advanced methods of integration and quality control for all above And keep it at a reasonable cost i.e. <100 million US Dollars. Sukhoi has a huge task in front of them and almost everything is contingent upon the Indians following through with money.

Here we go again with the ridiculous DRM... honestly this game is catering to a smaller foot print of simmers than flight sims so why is the DRM even that robust...I mean look at Dragon Age Origins or Borderlands the games shipped with no DRM and it sold huge numbers on the PC.

It's more than just modeling the aircraft and the pit; they would hypothetically need access to the source code I would think.

Agreed the Superhornet modeled by VRS is as true to an actual representation of the F/A-18E's system's as your going to get. Currently everything excluding an A2G radar and ACLS are modeled to a superb detail. The plane's flight model was made by an aeronautical engineer who works for BAE in Spain. Sure FSX is not a combat environment but how many times have you loaded up DCS Black Shark or Flaming Cliffs and wanted to fly outside of the scope of the provided terrain; well with FSX you can fly your bug anywhere. I hope ED approaches VRS to assist with a F/A-18E module because they are very talented.

Negative I agree with the thread starter 8+helo's on a FARP near a city will bring any system to a crawl.

Could you imagine how much additional performance we could be getting if the game was designed from the ground up to be a true multi-threaded app.

But if point aircraft have radar's and BVR missiles of equal parity. Then the difference in terms of a BVR engagement is negligible.
