dude i been having so many problems with the flaps I hit them they dont come on, I hit them sometimes they come on, i'm not sure if some of those passes have flaps or if all are without flaps I honestly am a little confused by the flaps.

I will deff Try to do that, never done it before check back in about an hour, i'll have it attached to the #1 post. can u define "datums" I've never heard this term before. are u referring to the green horizontal lines? I agree with the 3rd pass. it was deff low. "You need to move the ball around or you will be behind and react to how it’s moving." This is a greeeeaaat point. I never thought about like this. I'm deff going back to trapping and trying this out. thanks for taking the time to share those tips man much appreciated.

appreciate the subscribe brother thanks man, keep practicing, i'm actually not using any trim to be honest. I can't get the damn thing to work with trim. been there man, when it first came out I trapped all day too, but then got worse and worse, slept woke up the next day trapped again that night probably a 20hour break from it, and I was noticeably better. so ya deff the right track imo.

Whats up guys back at it again, practicing those Traps, I found I was getting good at flying the numbers on a case 1 but my groove and my ball flying was garbage. so I set up a mission and just started trapping alllll day. different weather different wind conditions moving decks U name it I tried it. (just no high fog) anyone is some actual experience looking at these traps and seeing something wrong please let me know I'm always open to perfecting my flying. always looking for tips and tricks. If I still have one major problem its my alignment anyone have any tricks for always coming down aligned ? anyway here it is fellas, trap, trap, trap, until you can't trap no more. literally did this all day yesterday lol I've attached the mission files for my landing practices, in case anyone wants it. theyre nothing special but just thought id share, theres a Groove only practice, where you basically start in the groove(a little out of the 3/4 just to line yourself up) theres a case 1 starting at an angels 6 holding pattern, and a sierra hotel break i'm sure you all know what that is by now lol. carrierLanding.miz carrierLandingGrooveOnly.miz carrierLandingSeirraHotelBreak.miz

Oh it's a paid version? I had no idea I thought it was just bundled in with the hornet module. So what is this one that we have now? It's early access of the paid module? For testing?

thanks man I appreciate the kind words. ok, first off, way too much fuel to be landing, he'd need to circle for a while just to dump that fuel, no initial pass, no 180, no 90, no 45, entered goove way to high, AoA way too steep, complete disregard for the ball, and what looked like a hook slap at the end there. but he's probably just learning. that was me a week ago. he'll learn.

haha ok ok i'll change it out. u make a good point. ahah fair enough man, I dont mind the nitpicking. helps me spot issues and fix them. by all means anything you see thats a miss, post it, I'd love to become perfect at this stuff.

Nothing Like seeing that Ball Drop in the last second, I was deff deck watchin' here and didnt notice the sagging ball before it went red. would be sweet to have these LSO comms in the module. makes it feel so much more real.

thats a solid tip, I entered the break that low to try to see if having to gain altitude could help slow me down a bit. but youre absolutely right its deff not cool to do in real life. I'll try breaking a bit after the carrier and see how that goes.

haha I know i know, its hard to bleed the speed. I tried to do it at the fastest speed its ever been done with is I think 600 knots. unbelievable how hard it is to bleed that speed.

To be honest I didn't set the DDIs because I was just messing around practicing and just wanted to get the turns right before I got all technical throwing the FCS and HUD on there didn't even use the TACAN or anything. It just happened to come out decent so I figured what the hell upload it.

My attempt at a sierra hotel carrier break. did a couple passes before I got this one, I think its actually easier than the case 1...or maybe because I practiced the case 1 it made this one easy, who knows. for those that don't know The "Sierra Hotel" Break was a carrier break perfected by Mike "Nasty" Manazir, a former F-14 fighter pilot and Landing Signal Officer, designed to get aircraft down on the deck as soon as possible. She's a beaut, very fast landing pattern, highly recommended. I added LSO view and pilot view into the video. Time to learn to trap like a top gun real video

don't be saying like that, they could have easily waited and released this next year and told us all to go piss off. i'm happy with the product we got. I been practicing traps , learning the basics and the systems etc. theres more to a plane than just blowing stuff up, if thats all ur into and ur gonna bitch about early access maybe you should be flying GTA planes.

these are amazing ideas. I've been thinking the same thing, AI LSO, telling you to call the ball then u hit the comms and call the ball, the ambient noise on the deck. If they're going to add people to the deck they gotta be hi res good quality models with realistic movement. that part might a little trickier, would suck to look at this amazing hornet and then a 7 pixel aircraft carrier crew running around.
