Like you said your very self in your first line "Loking at a good reviews of this campaign I hate to be that guy" then you went on to be in your very own words "that guy" I am not judge you, each to there own, and you should point out what you dislike, but after 10 missions ive not seen at all when your talking about. So am pointing out like many others how good this campaign is. I hope that review is ok right?

Well you are "that guy" I am now on #10 and loved every mission so far. Wonderfull. if your read the reviews dont let "that guy" put you off. Its Great fun.

Sorry to hear about your sight. I dont understand why you think using AP ATTH makes you less a pilot. The F-18C has AP and ATC for good reason and them tools are there to help you. I was asked to do a guild on AVSIM for a a couple of guys. Here is a link if you want to look. Take care. I saw a tip and after that, I can air to air refuel everytime like a pro. Slide up, connect 1st time, fill up, slide to the right. Tip use AP ATTH, more so around the time your ready to connect, then only use trim for any up and down movements, leveing you to only use stick for horizontal movments. What you will find is the AP will alow you to move becasue your movemnt are so small, but it dampens them out making refueling so easy. You need to control your speed ofc for forward and back.

I have been learning the F-18C for the last 2 weeks. Refuelling now feels very easy but like someone said above best to do it as often as you can. The best tip I got from a youtube vid. Switch on AP and a alt hold. As you get close trim up or down to knock off the AP, But... The aircraft smooths out your inputs once you have had the AP at some point. Now at close to calling for the probe just use trim for pitch and I find I only need stick inputs for the roll. As you walk the probe into the bastet I need to just keep trimming down to hold it right and then its all down to throttle and roll. All very small input and I use a curve of 20 on roll and pitch (that could change)

Hi, I have the F-18C and enjoying it very much. So far I have done all the training missions and feel comfortable with them. I have done the Air to Air refueling mission and now can hook up first-time every time and fill up with no problems now. Landing on the deck is also np. I see there are a lot of "missions" but only focused on the refueling one. Question is what should I focus on now? Is working through the missions best or go headlong into the included campaign, but I don't feel ready for that yet but wonder what route to take next? What do you guys advise/suggest? :helpsmilie: Thank you.

Looking into a new PC. DCS recommend 32GB for heavy missions but I wonder if that's for 4k? I am using 1080. Do I still need 32GB or will 16GB be OK? Thinking of a 9700@5.1, G Skill 16GB or 32GB, RTX 2070s. Dedicated 970 EVO 1TB SSD and 500GB for OS. Thoughts please as am returning to DCS after 8 years. Been dedicated to P3D v4 FSL etc. Just bought the Harrier and will get the F14B soon. One for A/G one for more A/A. Thank you.

Hi Sorry for the n00b Q. I would like to change a small thing in your version. Could you tell me how to change your TS button 4 so it works the wheel break. Ive tryed setting it in BS and tryed to edit your profile but i just get errors. Once this is set to break its perfect for me. Thank for any help.
