From what i understamd it is going to be released around the same time as the boxed version which is scheduled in Q1 2009

I dont find it very easy using it vertically and horizontally I thinks its pretty cool. Even the little cross to find distances is great. Theres just so much you can do.

I turned alot of people on to this sim and at first they all said same thing "Its russian" and i kept saying what does that matter and this thing is the greates chopper sim ever and its what i have been looking and waiting for , for years. I can say that too often do i look at the clock and go crap its 4:30 am i need to go to bed and it seemed like it was just 11 oclock . Multiplaye is alot of fun especially when you get guys who know how use data link and switch frequencies so other people arent on the same channel messing things up. It was totaly worth the money and i will be buying the DvD as well and the Book that will come out around the same time .

if they decided to wait 4 more years and make the sim 300 dollars so you can have air in your suit and a warm seat everyone would be tired of waiting.

maybe it is just too much to implement every single system into the sim also some systems maybe hard to simulate in the game . I dunno thats just my 2 cents.

But they dont have holes on both sides due to it being a safety feature the cover rests on the 3 switches for ejection seat so in emergency or some reason to turn of real quick you can just push the cover down and turn all 3 off or in other cases the switch its covering.

not sure about countermeasures but ejection seat switched are different the cover is designed to safely keep it off so it does not accidentally get turned on because it could be a big problem on the ground. It depends on what they do some switches need to be protected in off position until combat warrants it.

also make sure laser is on.

If you get it locked up you have to look in your hud and line up the the big target circle over the little circle thats on the target and make sure you hold it there and fire also make sure master arm is on and that you have Vikhr selected using inward outward weapon station buttons.

you gotta make sure before you switch to auto hover that you slow down and pull into a hover and get it trimmed out then hit the auto hover. Atleast thats what works for me i had same trouble at first.

nevermind i found it the quick start guide didnt explain enough it just said was in the DCS folder when it was in DCS/BIN/STABLE

I have the english version and i do not have the protect.exe or any kind of deactivation link. I hame upgrading mobo and CPU so i want to deactivate this.ive looked in the folder and in the start menu.

I have had every question i have asked answered in a reasonable time frame they do a stellar job around here.

can i remove the landing gear.

ROFL its no loss let him go. We do not need impatient people around here you waited 1 hour on a Holiday and complained and people are with there families and there allowed to jump on the computer for 5 mins there are times during this day where you have a little free time. But anyway maybe next year you will get some patience in your stocking. Merry Christmas all and happy new year.

How do you get repaired i Didn't see an option to do so in maintenance . Or Do you have to fly out to a FARP. which i know the R means repair but i just wanted to be sure and also wanted to know if there was a way to do so at airport.

Now im sorry if someone else reported this i couldnt find anything on this. I had just flew a mission and was playing the track and was recording to make a movie. But when i watched the schkval i noticed something was off. The actual targets were out of place they were to the left of were they actually were. So i would watch myself lock up nothing next to a tank or shilka and fire a Vikher and hit the ground where in actuality i hit something. As i said before i couldnt find another post on this and if there is please remove this and point me in the direction . Anways thanks for all the great work.

When i launch BS i only get launcher.exe i do not have a process called Blackshark.exe or DCS.exe. And im on Vista 32. Nevermind i found DCS.exe and as said before Vista has everything set on 2 cores by default every time on mine and everyone i know who has vista.

I dont understand the affinity thing everyone i know both cores are always selected even if they only use 1 core. core 0 and core 1 are always selected so i dont see what people are referring to do . Everyone i talked to both cores are always checked. I mean i do change it to 1 core for the progs im running in the backround and keep launcher.exe on both. But i see people saying to set it to both and as far as i can see its automatically on both unless you change it.

Well the only way to do either is to use maintenance but i dont think you have that option to change those in campaign. I have requested load out but have had no results so i believe each mission is designed to run with what is provided. I could be wrong you might have to stop the rotors and open the door. I know the door has to be open to change to NVG's. But as alot of wise men once told me you could always read the manual its in there =).

how come at first everyone said apache was first now everyone is saying A-10 was apache a mis quote or did ED change there minds i would rather see us chopper added first so you have 2 sides. but if A-10 is next then i will be waiting a long time for next dcs purchase. A-10 is ok but i was excited i could have sworn i seen ED people say apache was first . =(
