yes there are they are not in full production but they do have versions with FLIR. the version we have is due to classified info and other restrictions but im happy . I wouldn't mind FLIR but ill take what i can get for now.:thumbup:

I can say there has been a lot of great fixed wing sims but i am a big Heli fan and have been waiting for something like this for a long time. I just wish now i could afford pedals.

You have to deactivate it i believe before you do that and to do that you goto program files/eagle dynamics/Ka-50/Bin/stable and look for Protect.exe can some one from ED confirm you should deactivate before uninstalling

had to be something but remember your shooting the blue ones. after i shoot a vikhr i goto F10 and watch it on the map and see it the missile hits a blue target plus you can see where abouts they are by zooming in. Then on abris you can see where your shkval is looking by watching the yellow line with the box at the end of it and slew it to the same are on the map. Atleast thats what i do sometime i dont like using the Labels i try to find them by RECON. You can send your wingmen out to recon at different distances and they will send them back through datalink then just set an ingress point for them send them there and attack those targets .

It was same for me but i realized something you have to wait untill you launch the mission. Pause when you get in the cockpit and alt tab out go to processes then set affinity for DCS.exe. when you first launch DCS and going through the setup all cores are selected but they uncheck when you click fly and get into the mission. I jumped 15 FPS adding the other 3 cores. At first i thought same thing all 4 are already checked but its all about when you look at affinity. Im running Vista 32 as well.

The bell 412 is a utility chopper that i could only see as AI chopper and this poll is for client side chopper. I vote for A model for same reason a lot of the info is classified. But the longbow radar would still be nice to have.

well when i did this i couldnt send to a wingman unless i cage the shkval after storing and i noticed this step in the producer notes video on the data link. I love it now though sending ingress points and telling wingman to either attack a specific target or that type of target.

ya i found that to be a little odd i understand some of the others but it seem like this wouldnt have been to hard. But im still happy with what i got.

ive noticed sometimes inside the cockpit its really load like the door is still open but its not and if i hit f2 and then f1 again its quiet again. It happens every once in a while and just switching views and back to in cockpit view fixes it.

those panels are cool but just too much money . But maybe someday. For now ill just modify a keyboard.

Im no heli pilot but i see alot of you keep saying heli right rudder pedal. I believe its called a Anti torque pedals. And correct me if im wrong i just thought we should call them what they are seeing heli doesnt have a rudder. Right pedal yaws nose to the right left pedal yaws nose to the left.

thats cool sarancha did you check out that guy who made a power glove from a wii controller and he can just look at a panel and put his hand up to the screen and flip the switch.

the only Difference between TrackIR 4 and freetrack is that TrackIR 4 is 120 FPS sample rate and most people i talk to with freetrack said that the webcam they have only uses like 30. and its not as smooth but its not bad. I love my trackIR 4 PRO but i would recommend freetrack to anyone who didnt want to spend the money . But if you dont mind spending it i would buy trackIR..

well the modern ones have FLIR and day and night systems but they haven't been in full production yet but they are there. heres some info i found on recent variants that are there but there are not a lot of them. Because of limited night-time capability of the original Ka-50 "Shkval" TV sighting and targeting system, modified versions of single-seat Ka-50 were built. They were named Ka-50N ("Nochnoy", rus. "Night") and Ka-50Sh ("Shar", rus. "Sphere" - because of spherical FLIR turret). Many variants were tried, on some original "Shkval" was supplemented by thermal imaging system, while on others - completely replaced by "Samshite" day-and-night system (also used on Ka-52), including French SAGEM or Thomson thermal imagers. None of those entered mass production so far.

yes the DCS version i believe was based on earlier variants. I think it is also due to the limitations of available information they can acquire on the KA-50 im sure a lot of it is classified.

looks like this one http://img157.imageshack.us/img157/114/ka50cockpit1ct3.jpg and at this angle you can see abris and you can tell its close to the one u just posted because of the gauges under ABRIS . but DCS doesnt have those gauges located there so this version is close but not exact.

looks close to me but is a litte different from DCS, ABRIS is blocked too its just the angle.
