Severe loading performance issues with 2.9.16
Nightstorm replied to Nightstorm's topic in Game Performance Bugs
I have no idea. YoYo posted the fix in another thread that was referenced above. I tried it, it worked. Best I can tell, it stopped DCS from loading all of the modules at startup, which seemed to be a feature introduced in 2.9.15 when the Germany map was released. I have no idea if there's a correlation there. I have many modules, and even after it should have been done loading them up, I still had issues saving missions and exiting missions or the game in general. All of that was fixed by adding that line to my autoexec.cfg. I don't know if there is any negative impact to NOT loading them at startup, none that I can see so far. -

The tank is based on the Low Drag Tank and Pylon being developed for the F22. There are only a couple of references out there. A blurry rear aspect and a drawing. The model was an approximation of that. You can search for LDTP and find them. -
Severe loading performance issues with 2.9.16
Nightstorm replied to Nightstorm's topic in Game Performance Bugs
That resolved the issue for me. Since I don't want to interfere with the original files, I personally recommend adding this entry to: C:\Users\xvy\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Config go to autoexec.cfg (or create it), add this new line: bkg_load_signed_plugins = false -
F-22A Raptor mod enhancement mod

-------UPDATE 250609 With changes to the landing gear code, it created an opportunity to add that functionality to the Systems page. Added three landing gear indicators and adjusted the countermeasures location on the system page along with a system message that is the lowest priority message that will be displayed. It will be superseded by any other system message. Minor change to the check list page to indicate which list is being displayed, though they are both the same currently. Adjusted missile code for improved accuracy That is not accurate. Follow the directions on the first post or included with the archive. The new model has new details and corrections. I've not had any issues with it. And the LO drop tank was created by Spino and heavily modified by me. The vertices are most certainly welded along the centerline. It's not two separate halfs. The texture I used to create the tank was derived from the IRST pod, as was the pylon. That said, do whatever you want. -

The F22 model is now included. I adjusted the directions accordingly. English is probably not your first language, but you had to scroll past this to download the mod: ***************************************************************************************************************************** --->F-22 WON'T LOAD, I CAN'T FLY IT.<--- IMPORTANT THERE IS A DOWNLOAD LINKED BELOW TO RESOLVE THIS ISSUE. THIS WILL HAVE TO BE REINSTALLLED EVERY TIME DCS IS UPDATED OR REPAIRED BECAUSE THE MODIFIED FILES WILL BE REPLACED. THIS WILL ALSO FAIL INTEGRITY CHECK ON MULTI-PLAYER SERVERS. READ THE GLOBAL FIX LINKED IMMEIDATELY BELOW THIS TEXT FOR MORE INFORMATION. ***************************************************************************************************************************** -

-------HOTFIX 250608 Discovered that some changes in the current EFM caused issues with some of the MFD pages due to how the landing gear code works now. Adjusted Bay pages, System pages and Checklist page. -

-------UPDATE 250608 Continued work on the FCS page I wasn't satisfied that the LEF indicators didn't do anything so I found a way to get them to indicate from -10 to 45 degrees just like the real jet. LEF's are tied to AoA and automated in the EFM. Relocated the new LEF indicators back to the top but keeping all left to the left and right to the right. Added a new FLAPS indicator above the SPD BRK that will indicate Normal = Green, Moving = Yellow, Down = Teal. Tested Flaps with gear and takeoff modes and all indicators are working as intended. -

Not related to this mod or the EFM. I think that's the clickable cockpit command. -

Tested autorotate, it works fine. So, you either didn't wait long enough, or you still have an old entry.lua file with center of mass information. The current enhancement mod has the correct version. -

I've had pretty good luck in 2.9.14 but that doesn't change anything. If the core missile code has issues, all missiles will have issues. It's not the fault of the EFM mod, the enhancement mod or anything else related to the F22. -

Then this goes back to what's already been stated a few times in the last week or so. The core missile code has been having issues since 2.9.15 or somewhere in there. 2.9.14 seems to work pretty well. All of the added missiles use the core missile code which we do not have access to and cannot influence for good or bad. -

Couple of things. I talked to BHoop and he said to make sure you used the new entry.lua file that I included with my enhancement mod. It removed a line about the center of mass that is now controlled by the FM and BIN/DLL. If you still have an older entry.lua or one with that line, it could be messing things up. And yes, if you want just the weapons and stuff but none of the new displays, copy the entire "cockpit" folder from the stock EFM and overwrite mine. That folder has all of the systems, pages and graphics under it. -

"Anyways autorotate works with clean EFM, but not with enchancement mod. Can somebody reply this "problem"?" Yes, pitch trim is the only trim that works, but it had up/down/reset. The enhancement mod has nothing to do with flight model or the EFM. Which is why you have to copy those two folders over. All of the same control bindings are present. The enhancement mod changes the pilot interface. MFD's PMFD's adds new functionality and graphics. Adds new weapons and capabilities but none of that has anything to do with how the jet handles. Those values in the F22.lua that are still referenced are the same as the EFM mod. I'll test and see, but if someone could explain to me how the enhancement mod could affect take off behavior, it would at least give me a place to start as it doesn't make sense to me that it would or could. -

You can open up the weapons\stores\a2a_missiles.lua and search for "loft_factor". Right now they're set at the default, same as stock missiles. However, in the past, adjusting that has helped with the issue you're describing. Do some testing and lest us know. I'd suggest trying 3.0 vs 4.5 which is the default. -

-------UPDATE 250606 Updated DCS RWR Symbology mod for AIM-74A/B Updated multiple missiles for accuracy and performance boosts Updated enhancement mod for the v2.1.0 release of the EFM F22 Updated Engine page EGT graphics for v2.1.0 and altitude based temperature Updated FCS page graphics for v2.1.0 enhanced control surfaces Deprecated some unused controls in the keyboard and Joystick binding files Simplified the process a bit as the F22 model is included now. You still need the BIN and FM folders and contents from the v2.1.0 release. It will not work without those and you still need the avionics file for the F15C. Both the avionics and RWR files are linked at the bottom of the first post. -

I just found out about the new version this morning. There were many changes. I'm updating the enhancement mod to be fully compatible again. I do have a full-time job Mon-Fri. Update should be tonight barring any problems. I'm not going to redistribute an entire mod that other people created. I've made the steps and instructions as simple as they can be. -

Yea, the missile testing really became a pain as it got broken right in the middle of the ramp up to release. I hope it gets fixed soon. -

Since I replied directly to you previously about the missiles, I'm not going to type it out again but link my reply. The core missile code is somewhere in those compiled DLL files in your BIN directory. We (modders) have no access to that code. So, we cannot fix it, and we cannot break it either. The missiles were working fine on 2.9.14 from back on 3/26. I keep reverting back to that version because a lot about DCS has been broken ever since. -
Severe loading performance issues with 2.9.16
Nightstorm replied to Nightstorm's topic in Game Performance Bugs
I tested the new .1 release last night and didn't see any improvements. Since there wasn't anything mentioned regarding performance issues, I didn't expect to see any. It sat on a black screen for a minute or so trying to exit a mission back to the ME. All of these delays still seem to be CPU related. I've got a sensor panel with AIDA64 and when this happens, even it stops updating. Core i9 14900k (new) that has always been run on the new microcode and updated BIOS so no degradation. RTX5090, 64GB DDR6000. There shouldn't be ANY issue running this. And not to be a broken record but just switching folders to the 2.9.14 version and all issues go away. -

If you're not using too many mods, that makes sense. It can complicated if you're using multiple mods that could potentially overwrite each other. That's when you need a mod manager. If that doesn't apply to you, then do what works. -

Thank you. The one I have linked was made in OvGME, so anyone should be able to use it that way if the wanted, but I'm glad you got it figured out. I replace the entire mod file every time and there are often multiple files added or modified. Replacing the entire mod is the way I had intended. -
