  1. Link the EFM v2.0.0 added to first post.
  2. The release is anticipated to be around 21:00 ET / 9:00PM. I've been updating the enhancement mod all along and shouldn't need a lot of time to verify everything. Provided no issues, the enhancement mod update will be tomorrow.
  3. @BIGNEWY Good morning ED! I don't know if anyone has officially asked or not, so I figured I would. Doesn't hurt to ask right? As you know, there are many 3rd party mods out there that use or reference the avionics from FC3 based aircraft such as the F-15C and Su-27. With the changes over the last year, that's become more tediious. There is a way to do it, but it currently breaks IC as it requires a change to the entry.lua for those aircraft to load their DLL's on startup. I would like to propose that those changes be incorporated into the default entry.lua files so that IC would not be affected. F-15C as an example: ------------------ binaries = { 'F15CCWS', 'F15' }, load_immediately = true, --<------ADD THIS FOR FC3/4 AVIONICS ------------------ This would make the modding community VERY happy Thank you for your time.
  4. That is GREAT news! Thank you. I was afraid that the terrain loading optimizations mentioned in the release notes were the attempted fix for all of this.
  5. @BIGNEWY Good evening, I wish I could say everything was all better with 2.9.16.10523. It might be *slightly* better. I'm still seeing all of the same symptoms from 2.9.15 and the hot fixes. It has launched once with "normal" 2.9.14 behavior. The other nine times, it looks like the screenshot below. Audio hitches, rendering hitches, its every much like the disk I/O is way too high. It's not a RAM issue, I have 64GB and it was using ~half. The hitching stops about a min or so after you load up, just like before. Mission saves can sit for over a minute just like before. It can stall out loading up or going into the mission, just like before. Again, without changing anything else, swapping to my 2.9.14 install folder and everything goes back to running beautifully. Might I suggest that whatever loading mechanism was introduced in 2.9.15 should be reverted? If that's an option? I'd hate to think that this is going to be the new "normal". I suspect others will chime in here too.
  6. Once it's released, I'll post it on the first post of this thread along with the other download links, don't you all worry.
  7. Thank you. I just installed this throttle tonight and had the same issue. Calibration worked.
  8. We're all waiting on an update. GD is still working on the merge. In other news, @plott1964 helped me out with some code for the VVI pages. I had modified them to allow for the EFM's capabilities. +- 100 degrees AoA, +- 17.5 G and +- 100k FPM. However, with the new capabilities you can easily exceed 100 AoA either direction, and you can exceed 100k FPM going straight down. Not for long mind you, the ground has a PK of 1. Now the actual gauge indicators will "go away" if you exceed the scale of the gauge. Say you pull 120 degrees of AoA, which is really easy to do with the TVC, the gauge will read up to 100 and digital readout will still show whatever it actually is, but the gauge stops reading at 101 and will start again when you drop back down into the scale. It works pretty well. I don't think you'll ever hit 17.5 G's but you can hit 12-13. And I had it up to 110k FPM in a full power vertical decent from 50k feet. And she can hit 60k FPM in a vertical accent under full power. This thing is a beast with 70k lbs of thrust. That was the last existing page that I know of that needed adjusting. Things are looking good.
  9. Unfortunately, the only real image is a blurry rear aspect shot from a distance. Based on the artwork:
  10. Spino made a new tank to represent the LDTP (Low Drag Tank and Pylon) that the Raptor will be using. I modified a copy of the pod textures and here is the result:
  11. And before anyone asks how I used the outboard wing pylons, no I wasn't able to add new pylons. I tried; they worked in Mission Editor but crashed DCS when you went to fly. So, as you can see in the one picture with the bay doors opened, if you're using larger missiles there's no room on the center stations. In those circumstances, I enabled the use of the IRST pods on those stations and adjusted the positioning to put them out on the wings.
  12. Some update pics from yesterday: The IRST pods are new. I bought the model and Spino helped convert it. I redid the textures and positioning and hope to use it for a future purpose. The same goes for the Mako missile. I bought the model and Spino helped with it. Oh, and the fuel tanks are the ones I did from the F-16 CFT mod. Since they're 600 gal ish and don't have the plumbing at the rear, they're a better option until we can obtain the Low Drag Tank and Pylon versions that will use the same pylon as the IRST with a stealthier tank. The added benefit is that when you jettison them, the pylon goes with. I redid the textures on those tanks and made an F22 specific version to match the RAM coating paint. Because I was inverted:
  13. No one has mentioned it that I know of. However, those are just in the zip file. If anyone is feeling up to the challenge, I don't think anyone would mind.
  14. I appreciate the thanks and the sentiment. Getting compensated in any way would open up a whole giant can of worms from a legal standpoint. The EFM isn't the same as their PFM's. Professional. I think the E is Enhanced? Either way, you all are going to love this. Thank you. And understood. A lot can be lost in translation between languages and that doesn't even take into consideration that it's text in a forum post. All good.
  15. Well, let me start by saying, thank you for pointing out my mistake. I must have accidentally left out that line when I got the Raptor enhancement mod working again. The mod hadn't been updated in well over a year since I was away from DCS for that time. Last year, changes to DCS broke it. I have corrected that missing line and uploaded it. A team, including myself, is currently working on a new and improved version that will be much better than the old one. An EFM model is being developed with a unique flight model that is much more accurate to what the F22 can do based on what is known. I have been updating my enhancement mod for that EFM and all of it should be ready soon. I was, in fact, just updating the external fuel tank gauges last night to work with the EFM so that they're all accurate. The current version for download WORKS, but...it also kind of sucks. The flight model it's using now, based on those changes from last year is awful. And it's out of date, still referencing F22 features from the previous version of the mod that were removed. You'd be better off waiting for the new version. Lastly, that was only your second post, and you only joined the forum about a week ago, so either your very new, or you never wanted to post before. The tone of your question came across as somewhat accusatory. In the future you might consider pointing things out a bit more diplomatically. For example: "Hey, I noticed this line to load the weapons textures was missing from the entry.lua." Instead of "So why was the line missing?" The former is being helpful; the latter is being entitled. We all work on these things for FREE, in our SPARE time when we're not working our full-time jobs that pay our bills or spending time with our families. Please keep that in mind the next time you're enjoying a mod that a community member has released. Thank you,
  16. All two stage missiles were broken at some point in the last year by DCS updates. There is no known fix. The AIM-260 is being replaced with a more accurate model in any case.
  17. Well, I only have to go back to 2.9.14.8394 for the issues to disappear completely. They only happened on 2.9.15 versions. I've updated to the latest NVidia hot fix 576.26 but the issues were happening on the same drivers with only a DCS version change. I didn't change anything else. I'm glad that you got it working but I have no intention of reinstalling my OS to solve the issue if all evidence points to it being a .15 problem. I think that you are correct. It had been happening very consistently for me, like every single time I started DCS. Then I had three or four starts in a row after I made that change. However, it did seem to come back. At least I had a significant hang on saving a mission. So, all I know is what has been previously stated. The issues started with the new .15 versions of DCS after the release notes made specific mention of loading time improvements. Whatever changes were made, seem to have had the opposite effect.
  18. One of these performance related threads mentioned having MFD's configured. In fact, I read that someone said there two examples two people having different MFD's configured. I also have MFD's but they're off, but I also have a sensor panel running from Aid64. My monitor config was configured to use up to three MFD's if I have them turned on. I just disabled those extra monitors in my monitor config, and wouldn't you know it? No more hitching or issues. I tested it several times in a row. Performance is nearly normal. So, that would certainly suggest it has something to do with multi-monitor set ups. In VR there's no issue at all, as VR isn't using multi-monitor. I think we're on to something here. @BIGNEWY Does everyone having problems have more than one monitor configured in DCS?
  19. Sorry to burst your bubble there. This is still using the F-15C avionics. NO custom HUD. That HUD is from the MSFS version of the F-22. A custom HUD will require a complete custom avionics suite which is something we're not working on at this time. That would be a ton of work.
  20. Yea, several people are working on it, but the star of the show is Bhoop and the EFM. You all are going to LOVE this thing.
  21. Some work in progress updates. I've gone through all of the MFD/PMFD pages and removed references to the FCS modes. Cleaned up duplicate information and de-cluttered them. Adjusted previous functions for the new EFM. UFD now has all pertinent flight data along with advisories on one page and updated fuel display on the other. Clocks were moved to ICP, Zulu and Mission. The other clocks were configured for local mission time. Updated the systems page to show a fake BIT series that also happens to explain why you can't use GPS guided munitions (If you didn't know there are bombs in the mod but they are unguided.) Updated fuel pages for the Raptor's 18k lbs of internal fuel. As you can see in one shot, the fuel was set at 75% in the mission editor and is reflected as such on the screens. I updated the UFD fuel page to be scaled in thousands of pounds. The default scale isn't linear, but the way the gauge works is. So now it's at least pretty close. I've come up with a means to use the external tanks if desired and have a maximum of 26k lbs of fuel. 18k is generally going to be enough though. Lots of things happening behind the scenes. EFM is close to a release candidate. Weapons tweaks continue. Some new assets are being developed and added. Things are coming along nicely. I almost forgot. With the update to 2.9.15 there's a bug that won't allow sounds in saved\sounds to override the existing ones. I created a separate sounds mod for the F-22 that corrects that and also eliminates Betty's OVER G, MAXIMUM SPEED, MINIMUM SPEED alerts. This can be used with the existing version as it's a separate mod. NOTE: IT DOES REPLACE SU-25 SOUNDS as those are still the sound files the F-22 uses. https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/yrd4p48gfzq2pkf2hahlr/F-22A-Raptor-Sounds.zip?rlkey=oycxuf5794aadq1ck7pzu66f0&dl=0
  22. Yea there's enough people having the issues, and they persist with the second hot fix from yesterday. 2.9.15.9599 It's not isolated. And the telling consistent thing is that the issues did not exist in 2.9.14.8394.
  23. Awesome thank you. @BIGNEWY I was able to convert all of my sound mods over to using the mods\resources folder and they all work just fine. That is *probably* the preferred way to go.
  24. I'd just updated to that driver yesterday; I had a previous driver on Monday. So, if it IS a driver issue, it's been in the last two generations, and 2.9.14 doesn't have the issue.
