I don't get the impression that DCS is GPU hungry, pretty basic graphics. I would go for a strong CPU, with emphasis on single core power.

I need a more common solution. The screen is locked in exclusive mode cant get to desktop unless I open the news side arrow and click a link. This is not relevant while in game.

This extra ordinary map should be extended. Syria + Israel + Sinai peninsula = the holy grail. I served in the Golan Heights (also enjoy very much traveling there). Some of the world greatest battles EVER took place on this map (and south) !!! Most notably the dogfights: Israel 88 - 0 Syria.
