  1. Hi all, Noob here so be kind.....lol I have a triple monitor set up and decided to try DCS . I got the triples setup ok, but I am now having issues. I only fly the P-51 currently. Since going from a single screen to triples my default view has changed. I have the system settings set to 5760x1080 with one screen. Nvidia surround activated Issues: 1. The default view when launching an instant mission is outside the aircraft (same as F4 view). My position is about 10 ft above the aircraft. 2. If I select F1....the cockpit view is way to close to the front panel. My nose feels like it is almost touching the dash. If I hit the / keypad key I can zoom out a little but not enough to even see the entire front panel. 3. If I select chase view, again, my view is way too close to the tail of the plane. What am I missing at this point? Any pointers would be appreciated
  2. I am new to helicopters and need some help in how to properly use this feature. I have mapped the following controls to my hotas (t16000m) 1. Autopilot on/off 2. Autopilot level flight 3. Autopilot attitude 4. Autopilot Orbit When in the pilot seat or in the copilot seat, i can turn autopilot on and off. It appears when I turn it on that it is set to level flight. If after turning it on and I select any of options 2 thru 4, it kicks the helicopter out of autopilot entirely. If I directly choose option 2 thru 4 , nothing happens. My goal is to be able to set the autopilot to ORBIT then jump into any other seat and fire the guns. I just can't seem to figure this out. Any help would be appreciated.
  3. I am using the 5.1 mode and am using the asio driver. Will this still work in my set up? If so, my hardware is: onboard sound card for game sounds going to headphones and speakers Asus Xonar for the buttkickers Rift microphone for input device How would I set the inputs and outputs in this configuration? How would I get game audio to my rift headphones and to the Asus Xonar and also to my speakers? Thanks for any insight
  4. Hi, I am looking for some advise on settings in Aviator. The seat that I have is the new Jetseat SE. The effects seems to be weaker than I would expect so this brings me to my questions. In the settings screen there are two columns for adjusting the strength of the effects. All come default at 50 in both columns. 1. Does it harm the transducers in the seat if I use settings as high as 100? 2. Does the settings in the second column affect the strength of the effects going to the seat? Are there some settings in a file somewhere that I am missing that can get the software to send a stronger signal to the seat? I imported some setting from Andre's blog but it did not make any difference. Thanks for any advise or help.
  5. Hi, I noticed you are running triple screens. I am trying to set this up for my rig but am not liking the left and right screens. The fov is warped and the wings are at a strange angle. Would you be able to give some advise on how to properly get this set up? thanks
  6. Can someone point me to step by step instructions on how to transfer my P51-D plane from my steam account to my stand alone account? thanks
  7. Thanks for the idea...
  8. Thanks, that is a great idea....
  9. Thanks, I will have a good long look at this post.
  10. Hello, I really appreciate your guide on using voicemeter banana to send both telemetry and game sounds to your transducers. I have a setup that is totally confusing me as to how to set up properly to get this accomplished. Current hardware: 1. on board realtek sound card - used for getting game sounds to my headphones when not playing in VR. 2. Asus Xonar DGX pcie sound card - used for running 6 transducers from simshaker for wheels, and sound module for simshaker for aviators. 3. Oculus Rift - built in headphones for game sounds, built in mic to communicate to Voice Attack with Vaicom Pro module for DCS. 4. Steinberg UR44 USB sound card - used for running speakers and headphones at the same time I also have a Jet seat on order . Goal: I would like to be able to mix game audio and telemetry date going to my simshakers whether in VR or using single screen. I would also like to be able to change that mix on the fly. I would like to be able to use headphones (regular or Rift) and speakers at the same time as needed. I have read the banana manual and at this point, I am at a total loss as to how to configure the inputs and outputs to get this accomplished. Would you be able to walk me through this? If so, I would be forever in your debt. If not, can you refer to a source that might be able to help. Thanks for any advise Dennis Johnson
  11. THanks for the quick reply. I saw post 805 1. I edited the registry 2. I deleted the lua files and did a file validation in Steam. 3. I tried using the custom folder option. ( I am a little confused here on the length of the path.) My full path is: D:/Programs (x86)/Steam/steamapps/common/DCSWorld/ So...the path that I put in the custom folder options reads: D:/Programs (x86)/Steam/steamapps/common/ ..notice I used / not \ ....is that the reason this does not work? Which is correct? 4. I open properties of VA executable and clicked on run as administrator With all of that done....... When I launch VA is still get the DCS path error. Sorry to be a pain......lol
  12. Hi, I have all my games on m.2 drive D: I have the same problem in that when launching VA, I get the message that it cannot find DCS. I followed the instructions on page 33 of the manual. I added the full path on the custom folder box. This error message continues to show up when launching VA. Any suggestions on troubleshooting? thanks
  13. I am a noob at DSC but am really enjoying the learning process. After 1 week, I can start, taxi, takeoff and fly pretty well. I land successfully about 1 in 4 tries...lol Current setup: T6000 FCS with rudder pedals two Button boxes on my rig for various functions I always fly in VR Most of the major functions have been mapped successfully but I am curious if anyone has found any clever or good bindings for: 1. The mini stick on the throttle 2. The rocker axis on the front of the throttle. I just can't seem to find anything that makes sense or works properly for these two items. I have the rudder pedals so I don't need to map the rocker axis for that function. Also if anyone could share their setup specifically for this airplane, that would be appreciated. I am sure that I have probably not thought this out like some of you pros out there
