The question was never how good it would look, HB are doing it obviously it will be top of the line. The question is when. Now that the 2023 AB vid is out, it's 2023, can we get some semblance of an update on the timeline for the F-4? It's been radio silence since November.

That was 2 months ago on Reddit. The update since then was "the F-4 is nearing completion" a month later. The post on Reddit even specifies "sorry about the non-answer" showing they're explaining how things are going in the office, not how the timeline is. All I'm asking for is a timeline update. Obviously they missed their goal of 2022, but some communication would be nice.

So no updates on the timeline at least? I know about the 2023 AB video teaser having the F-4 but that's ED, nothing from Heatblur on missing the date?

Sure, but heatblur said multiple times 2022 release and said they made it in confidence, but have been silent about it since November. While the module dropping today would be awesome, any news on the matter would be nice considering the deadline they set for themselves is approaching.

I believe in October Cobra made the post on Reddit that says the war is causing issues and they've hired a lot more people, they're pushing the pedal to the metal, but never gave indication if it's delayed or not. Then in November, Cobra commented here on the forums saying it was nearly completed. That's really the only news or updates we have on the status. Considering the year is over in just about 5 days, we'll know the answer soon.

The thing you're missing is this was attached to multiple other comments talking about VR, multithreading, and Vulkan and having an FPS counter in the corner showing 90FPS on a busy strip in VR.

Any news would be nice at this point...

No F-4 and Cobra only posted patch notes. Doesn't look like they're answering questions about the F-4 so we'll see. It's gonna be rough if they drop it right before winter break and things require fixing. They deserve a break.

The last patch of the year is tomorrow is it not? Meaning they're going to either release it or not and the bandaid will be ripped off then. Either way, it wouldn't be right to drop it right before Xmas and then have the team bug fixing all holiday season. They're people too, if it comes it comes but if not, it'll be here next quarter I'm sure.

This coming patch got pushed to Friday (tomorrow), but I'm not sure it's ready. No preorder or anything and if this patch is the last patch of the year, I expect the bandaid will be ripped off as well. Hoping for a surprise though! They're saying "press F to pay respects" for me taking one for the team and going in vacation meaning the phantom would be released. Just gamer internet humor

Dawn of the 11th day, 20 days remain. Nearly a month after Cobra said the phantom was nearly finished. I can guarantee it's releasing this year, because I'm going on vacation from the 23-30th....

As cobra said, the war in Ukraine hit them hard and they lost a lot of development time, as well as person issues he's had to deal with. Ims sure they intended for and planned for a 2022 release and probably still are, but with world events it's becoming harder to reach that goal if not impossible. I get it, life happens, but I just wish we could have some news on the subject. If it's unlikely, but possible to release in 2022....tell us sooner rather than midnight of New Years, you know? I'd rather they rip the band-aid off now and perhaps surprise us with a release this year than wait to the very end to tell us something we all suspect

24 more days, If they plan on releasing a preorder for even 2 weeks, we should be seeing it within 10 days. Maybe they plan on just dropping it without all the hype they used for the 14? Who knows....I feel glued to the forums hoping for just ANY news regarding it

I don't have much else other than tacview to provide, but last night I had my wings snap off during a roll while at 6.4G. I posted about it in the other thread linked above. F-5 wing snap is greatly over-modeled in my opinion and it's just not fun to fly anymore

I don't have the in-game track, but I do have my tacview from last night where my wings snap @ 6.4G because I started to roll during the turn. I maintain a 6-7G turn looking for the bandit, find them behind me ready to shoot and begin to roll to get out of plane, poof! Wings pop right off. I attached pictures showing the telemetry data before and right as the wings snap though I doubt that will be helpful or what is needed. A plane I have spent so much time learning and flying is no longer fun because they snap at the drop of a hat. I know it's extremely common, flying red I can get kills without even shooting because once you're behind them, they kill themselves with a single pull!

Going over Mach 1.1 in the viggen forbidden? Saw some bluefor talking about a script causing the Viggen to explode if they travel too fast, is this true?

Is there a better tutorial for TacView? I'm trying to get the telemetry data to show up on the plane's information panel where it shows name/type/etc. Also trying to remove some of the Telemetry data listed in the Telemetry panel such as fuel, heading, etc. I've tried searching and checking the FAQ/Tutorials on the forums but those were not very helpful.

This was posted on Hoggit, the ED discord, and here, so it's not just whoever is looking at the forums. MP is winning out for sure, but thats not to say it's the majority. It does show that more people are playing MP than what ED are saying. Last I remember, they were claiming something like 10% of players play MP, which is completely inaccurate.

Does post #804 work in MP? I loved this mod when it worked in MP, but now if it doesn't it's a no-go for me unfortunately.

Harrier tanker is anything with a drogue basket instead of the boom style.

Cannot hear anyone on the Cold War server. I have volume up, correctly connected, I can hear myself through my headphones, have the same device selected for speakers (for mic passthrough and audio) and people on the server can hear me. My F-5's volume knob is maxed as well, though I've tried it in other positions. When people can hear me, I could hear myself but not them. What am I missing?
