I finally did it Guys today i managed to do my first complete air to air refueling in the cat :thumbup::thumbup:. With wingsweep in auto. Thanks for all the tips. The key was to focus on the tanker and "flow" with him first before you go for the basket. And to lower the view a little bit so you can see more of the tanker while you approach. As soon as you are connected search for some reference point at the tanker and fly in formation. For all who struggle: Just keep it up it is really a matter of training and will. P.S: Also make sure ur probe is extended in the "all" mode. Otherwise you waste a lot of time wondering why the fuel does not increase over 12100 like me :P.

Tks. By the way how do i activate the auto trim? Did not use it until now, but will try it today. Makes this things easier?

Okay, I hope that HEATBLUR will take a look into this matter. Because not everyone has human buddies to fly with yet.

Hi all, here are my experiences so far: In the F18 Iam able to hit the basket in 90%+ of the attempts. But in the cat it is a whole different story. The cat is much more unstable and has a kind of "drifting" behavior to rudder input. Is there anything i can do in addition to set the wingsweep to 40° to get this drifting behavior under control? Even when I hit the basket Iam only able to stay 5 to 15 seconds connected. The area where the basket stays connected is just too small. And one additional question: Do you look through the HUD or through the window to the side when you approach the basket? Is it just a matter of training? How long did u practice? KR, Jan

The problem here is: It is not always possible to fly in a way that allows the wingman to manage its fuel effectively. But it is so much pain. For example i got really into it during the mission where you have to intercept the bear. All nice formation flying with the bear and stuff, really high immersion at this point. And than out of nowhere you receive the "Bingo fuel" call out from your wingman. Totally destroying the immersion. So i think the developers should match the fuel of the wingman to the own fuel or set it to infinite. KR

Hi all, i have one very big issue with the AI wingman. After ca. 30-50% most missions he states „bingo fuel“. Making it impossible to finish any mission. Has anyone the same problem?

Hi all, this question might be dump, but me as little Tomcat novice trying to understand what jester is talking about. So is there something like a "Jester translation table?". Of course I know what "bandit" "tally "bandit" and rocket means, but as beginner some Jester callouts are hard to interprete. Thanks for your help. KR, Jan

I can just agree and cheer to Heatblur. The cat is just the best module I have ever tried. At the beginning I was sceptical because usually I like modern jets more. But they managed to give the cat something like a "soul". I dont know how to describe it better. Its not just thats everything feels right it is more that everything is just right if you fly her - if that makes any sense. Currently my F18 (which is also great) is just standing in the hangar and getting some dirt, because i cant stop flying the cat. :pilotfly:

I think there was an Special/VR Tab in the settings Menu, where you can select it. But Iam not sure.

Totally agreed. I had the Hornet before, than bought the Tomcat. And damn...this module. Tomcat blows me away everytime I fly it!

Hi guys, my mustache still has to grow. So here is the question: Where do i see the distance to the target in TWS? Especially when firing the phoenix I can see the altitude and closure BUT not the distance?:cry:

Guys, maybe one dumb question from my side: Where can i see the distance of the target when in TWS mode? Iam about to launch th Phoenix, but everytime iam missing the info how far the target is away (Pilot Seat). TKS.
