You're welcome! A little off topic but if you skip ahead to 16:50 on the UFOs and nukes documentary you will see a really cool aircraft that I personally wasn't aware of, the f-102 Delta Dagger or f-106 delta dart. What a badass jet! It even had internal weapon stores! I totally buy that module that came out!

Another must watch https://youtu.be/5Pr-C4byeNk UFOs & NUKES Ufos have been interested in our nukes since the beginning in the 40s and as late as 2010.. Like I heard one say, either the people in charge of our nukes are going crazy or ufos are infact flying over our launch sites, either way its a cause for concern.
  3. Yeah, I guess one thing that would have been nice is if they handled the return (for me) with the seller. I mean now there is all this extra shipping and cost for no reason. Now the seller is going to have to pay for shipping (from me to them) and HP is going to have to pay for shipping a 3rd time once the seller sends it BACK to them again LMAO... but that would probably be to much to ask for.
  4. Map editor load times ranged from 8 to 27 seconds, switching back and forth with (create new) between all 3 maps. The initial loading of the map would take ~27sec but after that going back to it a few minutes later would take ~8sec. Single player missions with F14B, (the 4 Persian gulf missions) took between 8 and 16 sec to fully load to briefing screen, sitting in cockpit on aircraft carrier. Again the first mission I selected took 16sec and the other 3 took 8 seconds. I can only assume some of the data was already loaded and that's why it was twice as fast on the last 3. Same thing with mission editor.
  5. We have very similar systems so I will time the loading of map editor and get back to you. Also to be very clear you have 32gb of ram? not 2x8=16? Also what is your page file set to?
  6. Update, HP sent the headset back to me via next day air, now in process of setting up return with seller.
  7. I was not given that option. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=243765&page=2
  8. I know you said "I have a very powerful hardware configuration" but it might help to go ahead and list those details anyways.
  9. Here is an interesting post I'd still like to see some more data on the R7, If anyone out there wants to do some testing with their R7 on DCS, Id be happy to run the same tests with same settings. Anyone out there with a R7 and a O+?
  10. I regularly see the 11gb on my 1080ti maxed out in MP servers. I cant say if the extra 3gb the 1080ti offers over the 2080 makes much difference but I can say it does get used. EVGA has a great warranty program so picking up a used 450$ 1080ti with a few years left on the warranty is hard to beat. As far as the Radeon 7 goes I don't think we have enough data on its VR performance. I only found one review and It doesn't look flattering for team red. https://hothardware.com/reviews/amd-radeon-vii-review-and-benchmarks?page=4 I will add, I fly with a guy that has a AMD setup, (I think) 2700x and Radeon 7 and he says he cant get the VR working smooth enough for his liking. (so 2 strikes?) But then again the 2700x is not the best choice for DCS, so that could be to blame also.
  11. Pedals... Maybe one day.
  12. The 8600k never gets any love... A 8600k @ 5ghz another great option for DCS. Single core performance is King in DCS and a 8600k at 5ghz basically has the same SC performance as a 9900K minus a bit of cache. But I guess the same could be said for the now dated 4 core 7600k @ 5ghz but I think 6 cores is the sweet spot when terrain loading is considered.
  13. Let me know if you figure out what it is. I know there's a switch on the right panel that regulates afterburners.

In this video the photographers address a lot of the skeptics concerns. But it won't matter, as someone in the comments said "haters gonna hate Skeptics gonna skept" lol

Here is one that got a bunch of people worked up at the beginning of the year, filmed in Utah. CGI? Bug? You decide.
  17. Added top speed at 36kft and 15c Few things I noticed, the Viggen is governed, (at 36kft) it would stop hard at 1003kn GS (It has so much more power). The F15 also, odd thing about it is you can see the model twitch/jump/glitch ever so slightly as is hits wall at 1497 @ 36kft. I had to run the MIG29 test a few times, its hard to keep stable (I'm not used to it), runs out of fuel FAST and a few times around ~1460 the engine caught fire..
  18. Ok think I found a work around. Launch Steam VR and in steam vr settings disable "use steam vr home". Now with the headset on your head you should see a black expanse with the silhouettes of mountains in the background. Now push the windows key on keyboard, apps, launch DCS. fewww..
  19. Alright that DID fix the mouse issue but created a new one, now the force feedback in my MSFF2 does not work when launching from the virtual desktop.
  20. 10-4 ill give it a try
  21. Update, Told them that wasn't going to work ,so they offered me a mouse or keyboard to make up for the 50 bucks. I told them to just send the unit back so I could sent it back to the seller. They didn't know how to handle that so I'm waiting on a call back... what a sht show.

That was an interesting case you linked. It reminds me of a famous case over Alaska in the 80s with Japan airline. Radar data recordings, Cockpit and Air traffic audio recordings and a full FAA investigation. As the Crew would report the position, ATC would confirm on radar. A walnut shaped craft the size of 2 aircraft carriers. wiki, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Japan_Air_Lines_flight_1628_incident And a good docu piece, https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x24qyx6 And Former head of FAA accident and investigation John Callahan testimony.
  23. I have an annoying issue with my O+ and the mouse, hopefully someone can help. Half the time when I start up DCS and put my headset on I will experience the mouse curser will not move. If I lift the headset off of my head it will start to move and when I put the headset back on my head it will stop again... At that point I just restart everything and usually its fine the second go around but it is highly annoying. Anyone got any ideas on a solution? Thanks!
  24. Update, HP doesn't want to refund me the taxes payed... ~50bucks
  25. Update, HP threw in the towel.. They couldn't fix the headset and still after 2 weeks had NO ETA on headsets even for them!.. and they're the engineer/repair team!.. doesn't look good. Anyway, they gave me 2 options refund or wait. I said lets just do the refund. I asked if I could do the refund and be put on a (possibly) list for repurchase, (to give me more options) but that was a big NOPE. Supposed to get a call from the refund department tomorrow to finalize things.
