  1. Here is the output from the 'npm install' command:
  2. I did, or at least I thought I did. I will start over from the top of the instructions. Thanks. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  3. Getting an error on the last step (npm start) in the dcs-stream-deck-ka50 directory. The output follows. Perhaps you can translate?
  4. It's not that I can't, it is that I prefer not to. With my TM-HOTAS, A10-C is a natural in VR. But, I really like using my physical MFDs. Also, accessing some of the other buttons and switches to the rear-left and the rear-right can be a little difficult in VR. Also, I can't use zoom the way I like, both when accessing controls and when flying. I have the track-ball (stated earlier) and I have Voice Attack but use it (I know I need to integrate that in but haven't gotten round to it yet). These are not big issues but since I have a choice I go with my preferences. And, while I am proficient with the A-10C in and out of VR, the same cannot be said for the KA-50 and the M2KC. I suck on these two platforms and need to practice them a lot more. Maybe then I'll make the switch but not now.
  5. Triple screen and Rift I use the Rift when flying CSAR in the UH-1 or CAP using the F-15 or SU-27. This is because the number of controls I need to perform my mission function are at my fingertips with my HOTAS and I don't need auxiliary displays or the keyboard (roller-ball-mouse mounted at the base of my flight stick). On the other hand, when flying something more complex, I use my regular displays (1 large curved screen and two 8" USB-LCD displays for my MFDs, complete with 20-button bezels). This is for the A-10C, KA-50, M2KC. I really like have both options at my disposal. With regard to DCS 2.X. I have the same problems so I'm not flying it much these days. Waiting for the magical update that will make it usable with new shading etc. turned on.
  6. Try different seating and see if that helps. Instead using my cockpit/gaming chair setup, I use a standard office chair that swivels. Works so well it feels like cheating but doesn't shatter the immersion the way poking my head out of the cockpit would. It's not so much the swivel of the chair as it is the 90 degree angle between my upper body and lower body. Since my head and neck are perpendicular to the floor, it is much easier to look around. Besides the angular difference, not having a head-fitting headrest also gives freedom of movement. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  7. How does one purge invalid serial numbers from one's system, if you are running the Steam version of DCS? there is no module manager button for unregistered or uninstalling a module?
  8. I have the CV1. When I just want to experience real immersion and free-flight with beautiful scenery, I wear it. When I want to get the most out of DCS, in terms of fighting, navigating, and accessing all of the controls and simulated systems of the more complicated modules, I fall back to my 2D display with Track-IR. I find the current state of VR too limiting to pay $800+. I paid $600 for mine but as you may have guessed, I'm not totally satisfied with it. At the price I paid, I'd do it again but if I had to choose between the two different modes of flight-simulation, I'd rather have full access to all of the functionality of DCS than a the jaw-dropping 3D experience with its limitations. Otherwise, I would quickly get bored. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  9. Not a throttle config issue. Just started working again, after the latest update.
  10. Not working in version 1.5.5 either. Will check throttle config and report back.
  11. I use 1 27" monitor for my main view and two 8" monitors for my left and right MFDs. When flying the Su-27, F-15, or Huey, I find the kneeboard to be an annoyance when I'm flying full-screen. How can I disable this feature from displaying?
  12. Great. That helped me out so that I now have my Shkval on an external display. What about the kneeboard. Anyone know how to export this to an external monitor. Since I have two 8" displays, the other one goes unused when flying the SU-25T.
  13. There has got to be a way to zoom in and out if you don't have a mouse-wheel. Can some one tell me what it is?
  14. Is it possible to run the mission editor(s) on a separate machine? My game system is setup in a home cockpit configuration and is not ideal for the task of creating complex missions. :joystick:
  15. Solved. My problem was that I did not create a monitor grouping in the Eyefinity software so that the DCS A-10c would see my three displays as a single unit.
  16. I've just gotten my 3-screen Eyefinity setup running on Windows 7. DCS A-10c is installed in running. When I select the 3 screen option in configuration menu it display all three views on the middle monitor while ignoring the left and right displays. Now what I was expecting. How can I change this so that the left and right views appear on the other two respective displays? I don't know LUA but I am an accomplished software engineer so I should be able to pick it up. What I'm looking for is some guidance on what files need to be changed and what structures, architecture or framework I need to be aware of in order to craft my own custom views. Or, if someone has something that I can just drop in based on a similar setup, I'd be happy to use that. Thanks for your attention. SixLimaGolf
  17. Ok, fine. But why doesn't re-installing the game solve my problem?
  18. Installed BS and the 1.01a patch on Vista today. Played with it for a few hours. Changed the joystick configuration and saved it. After that, when I try to start BS I get the following error: 'Launcher.exe has stopped working'. I tried uninstalling and re-installing BS but I still get the same result. I can't be the first guy to see this. Can someone give me a clue? -SixLimaGolf
  19. New to BS; new to this forum. Is there a way to configure DCS:BS so that either the SKVAL or the NAV display can be displayed full screen on a second monitor? I have a separate 10" touch-screen I'd like to use for this purpose. The ultimate setup for me would be a third 10" touch-screen so that both 10" displays have the SKVAL and the NAV displayed, respectively. Thanks. -SixLimaGolf
  20. Me too! (Lockup while running DCS:BS) Intel Quad Core but with ATI driver and two ATI 3870 video cards with the latest drivers.
