  1. I'm getting there after seeing my FPS half between 2.5 and 2.7 For me the thing that offered the biggest increase was deleting the saved games folder. I had previous deleted the shaders to no effect, but deleting the whole folder helped. The major "problem" I'm having now is the CPU frametimes. For example, typically in 2.5 I would see this: And in 2.7...... CPU is all over the place. This is a AMD 5900X Can't get to the high settings I had previously, and have had to drop Steam resolution from 300% to 100% to get the same GPU frametimes
  2. Ah excellent news! Glad you managed to get one. Just got shipping notice today so seems like they're quick off the ball with getting these sent out. Not looking forward to the import and VAT mind
  3. I stayed up to 2am and managed to order one so it wasn't an issue with their site. Not sure what happened on your end
  4. This is a great tool, thank you. One thing you might consider adding are boxes for the middle point of switches (such as flaps or LASTE). Had a look at the source and PNG's but it looks to be over the top of my head to add these in!
  5. So in summary we're pretty much no further forward with information about the XTAL and DCS? No videos or pictures of unboxing or of the hardware? No "through the lens" shots of DCS? (Even mobile phone cameras are good enough to give a general initial idea so not sure what the issue is here.( No hard evidence of the performance/FPS in game? Got to say at this point I agree with that statement.
  6. Unfortunately no conclusion yet. I think it's fairly obvious it's DCS related but unless they want to provide us with some things to try then we're a bit stuck. Underclocking a card that runs at factory clock speeds is not a solution. Brand new PC and it hasn't even been turned on for 2 weeks after spending probably 50+ hours trying to troubleshoot this one. I've sent my 2080 Super back and have purchased a 2080Ti which should be coming this week. Hopefully that will be an (expensive) solution. To be honest I wish I had just kept my old GTX1070. This has been and expensive and stressful time trying to get some extra FPS from DCS. A few people have posted issues that are different from my original post in this thread - I would suggest making new threads with your specifics so that it doesn't get lost here. Chris
  7. Hi I absolutely share your frustration. Unfortunately I didn't really get anywhere with my support ticket. They suggested I under clock my graphics card. Considering its running at factory clock speeds I don't think this is an acceptable response. At first they didn't accept any responsibility until I pointed them to the sticky thread about TDR errors made by one of their staff members. At that point they changed their mind and stated that they are aware of issues with some 2080 cards, however there was no mention as to what's actually being done on Eagle Dynamics front to fix this or why some cards seem work and others don't. I've been playing other games since my last post on this PC and they are all working flawlessly, as are benchmark loops and stress tests that I've been running for days at a time without error. I ONLY get problems in DCS! I've really come to the end of my troubleshooting and can only say that DCS doesn't like this computer. Unfortunately there's not any other modern jet flight SIM to switch to so I'm very much grounded now. Chris
  8. Unfortunately not. That would at least be playable. Mine crashes to black screen, whole PC is locked and have to hard reboot. Only happens in DCS.
  9. Hi Did you get to the bottom of this? I'm having a very similar problem with a 2080 Super (Zotac twin fan). See my thread: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=249041 I've raised a support ticket but all I've been told from support so far is that they are seeing a number of crashes with the 2080 Super. That's not hugely helpful as if I RMA and get the same then I'm back to square one! Thanks Chris
  10. If you can think of anything to try I'm open to suggestions. I've been trying to troubleshoot this for weeks now and haven't had a single crash on anything other than DCS no matter how much I try. In many ways I really REALLY want a crash elsewhere as then I can look into other areas. Chris
  11. Support ticket logged. Will post back with a fix when I hopefully get one. If not someone is going to get a bargain of a new PC when I sell this
  12. Good Morning Is there an update to this, or an estimate of when I can expect an update? At the moment I've bought a new PC solely to play DCS on and that's the one thing I cannot get to work so it's now just gathering dust :( I'm tempted to RMA the GPU but I'm 99% convinced that it's a DCS issue (would be very happy to be proved wrong!) Chris
  13. Unfortunately the page file tip didn't help :( New log attached to this post after adding the autoexec.cfg file Thanks Chris dcs.txt
  14. Hi Standard factory clocks for 2080 Super - 1650 MHz base clock, 1815 MHz boost clock. No manual overclocking of anything here. Will try pagefile tip and report back, hopefully with good news. Agreed that it's a driver crash, but I've been desperately trying to get something OTHER than DCS to cause it and have so far failed. Chris
  15. Hi I'm having the following issue that only seems to happen in DCS! The computer will lock, monitors will go to black screens (no input) and the GPU fans will hit 100%. The PC needs to have a hard reboot as CTRL+SHIFT+WIN+B to reset the graphics driver doesn't help. This happens on any mission - standard or DLC campaign and can happen after 2 minutes or 3 hours. Prime95 can run for 24 hours without error so I don't believe it's CPU/RAM related. Furmark can run for 12 hours without failing so I don't believe it's GPU power or temp related. Can run 3DMark DirectX11 benchmarks/stress tests without failing. After the crash there are still entries being written to event viewer (not related to this, a test script created to write an entry every 10 seconds) and if GPU-Z is running that continues to write to a long. Therefore Windows is still running in the background so it definitely appears GPU related. I've tried the last 3 sets of NVidia drivers with the same result. I've reinstalled Windows and only installed drivers and DCS (no copying of saved game folder, not even plugged in my HOTAS for testing) but get the same result. Attached is a log and below are system specs. At a bit of a loss here! :( AMD Ryzen 3700X Gigabyte X570 AORUS Pro 16GB TEAM GROUP EDITION DDR4 3200MHZ Nvidia 2080 Super Windows 10 version 1903 Any help would be most appreciated. Chris dcs.txt
