Going into controls and selecting UH-1H sim from the drop down, if you save a profile, then load that same profile or any other, after loading all of the default keyboard assignment are wiped out. I manually (painfully) reset all of the keyboard defaults. Tried to save a profile for just keyboard defaults. Then I loaded the keyboard default and again all of my UH-1H keyboard defaults were wiped out. I couldn't find a UH-1H beta forum, so I'm posting here.

I deleted my saved game folder when I uninstalled the old DCS:A10 stand alone version. Then I installed DCS:World and then the A10 module.
-
Anyone having the same issue at all? Some help is greatly appreciated. I hate having to force close A10 or Su-25 every time I exit a mission or training.
-
Is there a log or crash dump that I can attach that would help anyone?
-
Thanks cichlidfan, That worked.

After installing the latest DCS: World and A10C module, every time I start a mission and exit a mission I get a CTD. A windows message saying the DCS has stopped. And I have the option to look for a solution online or close the program. When I close the program, DCS World reloads. Anyone solve/have this problem? What can I do to fix/solve it?

Hello, When I start an A10C mission in DCS: World, an overlay window appears over the cockpit and gives me the option to click 'Fly' to start the mission. But clicking Fly' doesn't start the mission. Instead is sounds as though I'm clicking one of the options in the cockpit. Only when I press CTRL-Tab to another window and then back to the A10C window, does clicking the 'Fly' button get rid of the overlay and start the mission. When I had the stand alone DCS: A10C installed, this wasn't a problem. Anyone have any ideas or is experiencing this problem?

I too played without labels in Blackshark. It was a bit simpler with respect to spotting vehicles only because I could hover and take my time looking for things. My problem with A10 now is that when I fly into a combat zone there is so much going on that I start to freeze at the controls. I want to at least reduce the label clutter and properly pin point targets. Eventually I'll can settle down and actually do the things I trained for. :) And I'm only on the first mission, i can only imagine how I'll do in the latter ones.

Sounds like a good place to start. Thanks for the tip winz.

I'm just starting off with the flight sim and I'm flying with labels. However there are times when the labels are just too big. Especially when I'm diving towards a target for a guns run and because there is so much text with the label I'm unable to figure to find out where exactly the target is. Basically, is there any to modify the labels in such a way that all they display is a small red dot. The sim already does this when you are at large distances away. Can I modify this behaviour so that it always displays the dots? Also I'm trying to learn not to depend on labels. Any tips or pointers for a noob? Thanks

Still not working I updated my video and sound drivers. I already had the latest DirectX drivers. But I still get the same error message. I clicked on the link to see more details and it said this: AppName: dcs.exe AppVer: 1.1.0.3 ModName: dxrenderer.dll ModVer: 1.1.0.3 Offset: 000484a4 Anyone have this problem before? Can anyone from ED support help? -
Unable to load a track or play an instant mission
number3 replied to number3's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
Thanks for the reply. I will see if he can get the purchase transferred to my account as I have everything else set up to join the Beta forum. I will get my video and sound drivers updated and give it another try. I didn't install a new directX but during the installation I gave the install permission to install any DirectX it needed. Should I go ahead and manually install the latest DirectX I can get my hands on? -
Unable to load a track or play an instant mission

Bumping this issue up. In need of support -
I can't post this in the beta forum because my friend bought the game for me for Christmast and apparently using my activation key alone doesn't give me access. If I should post this in the beta forum please let me know what I should do. All I have is the activation key. Also I've updated A10 to the lates patch. I tried this with the default graphical settings and the lowest settings possible. I'm using WinXP. Here is my problem: When I start a instant mission or traning session, I get a popup window saying "dcs.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience." I then have the option to Send Error Report or Don't Send. When I click either of the options above the orange loading screen comes up again. In the case of a instant mission, after the second orange loading screen the debreifing screen appears. The flight log shows mission start and mission end. In the case of an training track, I only see the blue loading screen, then the popup message above appaers. After clicking on one of the buttons the orange loading screen appears and then I am taking back to the training track selection screen If there is any more information I can provide let me know

The point being I don't want to use it for a "zoom view", that's the problem. If you're satisfied with the only useful purpose for the rotary axis to act as a zoom view, then you're fine and dandy.
-
Thanks for the reply Comieodor. Well that's too bad, thought there was an ideal solution to this.
-
So how did you get to configure your rotary axis? Because when I go into the 'optoins' menu the "Axis Tune" button is greyed out. Also, since you are not using the SD6 and all in game controls, are you able to use your mode switch to act like a modifier? So that you can have 3 different actions chained to a button depending on what mode you have selected on your throttle stick?
-
Yes, by rotary switch I mean the rotary axis. Have you been able to bind any controls to your rotary 1 and 2 axis using the SD6 or in game controls?
-
Has anyone been able to add the mode switch as a modifier in the in game controls screen? Also, has anyone been able to get their rotary switch(s) to work? In the case of the former, I've discovered that buttons 9, 10 and 11 are not detected when move the mode switch. However in the SD6 profile editor my mode switch works without a hitch. In the case of the latter, using either the in game controls or the SD6 doesn't help at all. The reason why I'm trying to get away from using the SD6 is that my shkval movement is extremely slow (mapped to my hat button 1) and some times when I press a button the game gets really slow and fps goes down to 9 -10, until I let go of the button. Any ideas?

Thanks guys. So my problem was that I was not trimming so that my cyclic stick could be centered on it's own before setting HOVER mode.
-
I do not have a FF joystick. I've got an saitek x45. The mission starts from the ground with the k-50 systems powered up.
-
2nd track Jack57: I'm attaching a second track where I use trim when I'm at a near hover to the point where my cyclic stick is centered. Initiate HOVER mode and the results are much better. Got out of HOVER mode, created some forward speed and repeated the same steps when I was at a near hover. This time you'll see that the square on my hud off to the left. Now should HOVER mode be doing corrections so that the square on my hud is centered?
-
I meant, that when I initiate HOVER mode I'm always below 40km/h. I posted a track where I've gotten close to the speed you recommended before initiating HOVER mode. Jack57: are you saying that I should when I'm manually hovering, that I should trim till the point where I can center my cyclic and then initiate hover mode?
