  1. can a dev or tester from ED tell me what the Jettison Arming button actually DOES ? manual says: “ВЗР – НЕ ВЗР” (Armed/Disarmed weapon jettison arming switch). This switch determines if the weapon will be armed prior to being jettisoned. "ВЗР" = armed, "НЕ ВЗР" = disarmed for jettison" Ive tried jettisoning (armed on) bombs which just fall through slanted ground/tanks as if they arent there (no collision detection?). If they fall on flat ground i sometimes see a little dust cloud on the ground but no explosion. Is it for arming missiles only before jettisoning? thanks
  2. Can they be released individually? If i have a matching pair on outside points, it shows 2 on the 'rounds remaining' indicator. The long-medium-short weapon mode is set to short. Releasing weapons causes both bombs to drop. I tried to resolve this by loading two different bomb types, from left to right: Fab500, KMGU PTAB2kfo, Fab500, KMGU PTAB2kfo The rounds remaining now shows 1, and the 'toggle weapon internal/external' buttons only allow the KMGU PTASB2KFO on either side to be selected. I can drop the KMGU PTAB2kfo bomblets, but because their container never comes off the hardpoint - i can never select the FAB500 bombs. I remember reading in another thread that its the ka50 design that requires weapons mounted as like-pairs. Would be nice to have this re-inforced in the bomb section of the manual. Would also be nice to know what the 'toggle internal hardpoint' button does, if it wont choose between the different weapons mounted internally (same for external). Are they only there for future DCS releases of other aircraft?
  3. i want to know what this switch does, as already stated. ive tried to use it as documented, without expected results. anyone got any useful feedback?
  4. yes, would be nice to at least see the bomb bounce off the top of the tank...maybe the tank commander pop the hatch to see what the f*** just happened
  5. hey i agree with the politics, but how about someone answer my question...whats with the jettison arming button both in the cockpit AND in the manual. i quote from english manual: item13 from the centre panel: “ВЗР – НЕ ВЗР” (Armed/Disarmed weapon jettison arming switch). This switch determines if the weapon will be armed prior to being jettisoned. "ВЗР" = armed, "НЕ ВЗР" = disarmed for jettison. [LALT + LSHIFT + W]
  6. armed or not, manual or auto, bombs of all 4 types arent detonating on impact after being jettisoned....there doesnt seem to be any collision detection. i.e. they just go through the tank and ground without a sound. tried from 350 and 1050 meters. i cant forget the 'hover over target' now i found jettisoning isnt working :)...i just gotta know what the jettison arming switch is for...i just gotta... i'll try higher...
  7. i tried that yesterday. ran out of vikhers missiles and still had couple of stationary m1tanks left. noticed i had some bombs on board. tanks were nice enough to stay still whilst i hovered over at 600m at stopped. I couldnt get the bombs to pickle (maybe i wasnt in manual mode?...im a newbie to this game and havent done any reading - yes i know...). So i armed them and jettisoned them. I went to missile view and watched my 2 bombs fall perfectly on the top of one of the m1 tanks...but they didnt explode....just went through the tank and ground as if they were not there. Should arming and jettisoning cause explosions ? was i not high enough (i.e. i dont know what my altitude above ground was).
  8. switches core only ?? Hello all, I've tried running wombats scripts. UAC is off. All script files in ka50 folder. I have task manager running before i start Black Shark. Kick off the dual core single player script. Load a mission and turn 'pause' off. Tab out and see that affinity is set to 0 (left core in task manager?) for DCS.exe*32, and that core is maxing whilst the right core has maybe 10% load. Tab back to game. Wait around 30seconds. Tab out and see that affinity has been set for both cores by the script. The load has now switched, i.e. the left core is 10% or so whilst the right one is maxed. Needless to say, FPS hasnt changed. What could i be doing wrong here ? :) Details: 1680x1050, max settings that can be set in game (havent touched AA etc outside). FPS (regardless of affinity) are usually around 30, up to 50 whilst flying in the sticks, and down to 20 whilst hovering just above the sea whilst a long high (mountainous) coast line is in view. Not sure why the latter brings it down so much. E8600 @3.38 EVGA 9800GTX x2 8GB 1333 Vista 64 Home Premium Saitek x52+Rudder EDIT: Ah, seems the tabbing to task manager causes game to thinks its no longer in full screen mode. Setting fullscreen in game menu again, and running script without doing any alt tabbing, gave me my 10-20fps increase......siiiilky smooth
