  1. In the Viggen cockpit model, there's a rectangle outside the cockpit - left of the SPAK light - that glints in the sunlight: I can try to capture some video of it later if needed, but as you can see in the image, it's not a soft reflection that continues to rotate around the canopy as the angle to the sun changes. It has hard edges where the reflection suddenly stops. Edit: This seems to have come up in a previous thread as well: https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3775309&postcount=7
  2. Unless I'm mistaken, the Viggen never saw combat in any theater. That seems like a silly reason to exclude it from a scenario.
  3. How so? The Viggen was introduced in 1971 - remove BK-90s (possibly Mavericks too, I can't find good docs when the RB-75 was introduced) as loadout options and you've got a period-accurate plane capable of delivering rockets and dumb bombs.
  4. That's not what's going on here. I can't speak for VR setups since I don't have one, but with TrackIR, the Viggen (and all other aircraft, AFAICT) already have constraints - you can't move your head past the canopy glass. The problem is that the Viggen's constraints don't match the curvature of the canopy, which has the results you see above.
  5. Should it be removed from the manual, then? Or as QuiGon asked, are there plans for it to return?
  6. According to the both releases of the AJS 37 manual, the approach altitude of BK-90s can be selected using TAKT Input 91XXX0, where XXX is the altitude in meters. The following video shows that regardless of what that setting is, the dispensers approach the target at the same height as they do by default, 400 feet. (However, the area of effect pattern is programmable with 92X000.) For comparison, here is a video of the same mission, with no TAKT inputs. Interestingly, the approach altitude of the dispensers seems to be 400 ft, despite the manual saying it is 60m (about 200 ft).
  7. With TrackIR (and I presume VR as well), you can stick your head through the canopy glass: It's very easy to do if you lean forward and look over your shoulder - say, while trying to spot an incoming missile.

  9. The stock AV8BNA RWR and Sidearm tones have obnoxious popping sounds: The problem is a simple one - the amplitudes at the start and end of the audio samples aren't lined up with each other. This discontinuity makes a popping noise when looped. I did some very minor editing in Audacity to line the sample ends up better, and got pretty good results: OVGME compatible, passes IC. 10. A video of the issue from the current OB: Thankfully, as Kingsnake mentioned, the buttons don't seem to do anything if you press them through their covers, but the sound is still disorienting. It would also be nice if clicking anywhere on the cover opened it, not just the hinge. It's gotten me into trouble when I got jumped by a bandit and was trying to jettison my tank as quickly as possible. Being heads-down in the cockpit, futzing with switches is a good way to get shot. :P
  11. Thank you for fixing the engine looping! I just got the Viggen, and found the loops really jarring, especially considering how lovely the rest of the plane's sound design is. Have you (or anybody else) opened a bug report with Heatblur to see if the official files can be fixed?
