  1. Two crashes on my two flights the past two days. Both crashes were on most recent version of OB on the Hoggit Training Server. First crash was yesterday evening in the A-10C. Crash occurred just as I pickled off a CBU-105. At the time, I still had the shader mod installed. I performed a repair and cleanup today before I hopped on. Second crash was today in the Mig-21. Wasn't doing anything in particular, just flying along RTB. I have attached both log files. dcs.log-20200425-172657.zip dcs.log-20200425-034732.zip dcs.log-20200425-200255.zip
  2. This may be a silly question and has probably already been asked, but why don't ED implement the shader mods into the game? It seems to me a huge portion of the VR community uses this mod to improve their gaming experience. While it may not be desirable for all, could it be offered as a graphical option?
  3. The stuttering issue reappeared for me yesterday. Unfortunately, I updated both the OpenBeta version and Nvidia drivers at the same time and went into game and it was stuttering mess. This entire experience as of late is damned if you do, damned if you don't. The Rift-S software and its interaction with my computer is awful. Very rarely does my headset decide to work properly on the first attempt. While the performance of the OpenBeta has seemed to stabilize a bit, my game crashed again yesterday. I'll do a cleanup and repair later and remove the shader mod and see if that helps.
  4. Were you using shader mod at all during this last go?
  5. 17-21 FPS in Hornet with SA page up. Shimmering clouds are back. This is using the following setup: 3700x, 32 gb RAM, 1080ti, Rift S, all this with reasonable settings in DCS. In fact, I turned them down this past week in an attempt to get online with decent performance. I'll give it another go later with different A/C in a less crowded server, and on single player to see what results are and report back.
  6. Good evening, Just tooting along in the Mig-21 on the Hoggit Training server minding my own business and my game died. I removed all mods earlier this week and did a cleanup and repair, as suggested. I was flying VR. Performance wasn't toooo terrible considering the amount of people on the server but I have dialed my settings way back. I know this is getting repetitive for all of you, but more data never hurt anything. I have attached a log. I have logs from last week too if you want them. Please let me know if you have any questions, or if I can help in any way. dcs.log-20200416-002005.zip
  7. sorry to hijack the thread, but are any of you all able to play online? The mod seems to have tainted my client. Last version of the mod did not do this. In other new, I seemed to have gotten the crashing to go away
  8. The game is just trolling me now by downloading the repair at 5 KB/s....
  9. I did cleanup/repair, but I am still running the 2.5.6 VR Shader Mod (ICpass). Is anybody else that is having this issue also using this mod?
  10. same issues. Looked at the log and had the same DX11 error. Will try and update drivers and see if that fixes the issue.
  11. If you play on large multiplayer servers, make sure you do your testing on those as performance will take a huge hit. Also, for what it’s worth, performance after the last update has been horrific. So if you find yourself having a difficult time tuning, you’re not the only one.
  12. Black Shark is getting an update so I wouldn't let the age deter you. I enjoy the Mirage and I almost say it's worth getting for the campaign(s) alone, but I think there are better choices in a 3 plane hanger. But, if it's on sale and it looks like something you'd be into, go for it!
  13. Update. Oculus pushed driver and firmware updates to my headset today. I just finished flying for an hour with no issues at all. Let's hope this continues.
  14. Because it has working TWS..... :megalol:
  15. I think I’m going to revert to older nvidia drivers and see if this helps. Still going on. I’ve gotten used to it by now, which is ridiculous because this absolutely kills the immersion
  16. Have tried everything mentioned. The issue persists.
  17. Happy to report that turning off the wake turbulence helped out!
  18. Agreed. And it's not like my rig doesn't have the HP.
  19. Thanks for the tip. I will definitely try this out and report back.
  20. pixel density = 1.5 I also play with mirrors off. Also, and I guess this is the frustrating part, up until a week or two ago the exact settings I am using right now were working perfectly. So something has happened somewhere in the matrix to screw things up. Either a DCS update, GPU driver update, or Oculus software update. And, unfortunately, software updates so often these days it's made it difficult to pinpoint the culprit.
  21. Negative. I can try changine the lighting and see what happens, but if it's a lighting issue then logic tells me that Alt+Enter wouldnt help it out at all.
  22. I tried the above that dburne mentioned and no fix. Seems to be marginally improved, but not fixed.
  23. Started flying this one today. Got to the 2nd mission had the same issues with the FPS. Going to try to disable the turbulence and report back. But, it looks like its going to be a lot of fun. Haven't gotten into the warbirds too much but this might have me hooked.
  24. Thanks for the response. Will try the above. I have repaired the oculus software already this week, due to other issues. Not recognizing headset, multiple forced restarts, etc. That software is a different story and has had me looking at other headsets because I'm sick of its crap.
  25. In the past few weeks my system has developed a stutter/ghosting issue that has become a huge annoyance. The problem occurs as stutters when moving my head around in the pit. Not even sure stutters are the correct term, but it will be a rapid double vision or clunky movement. I have tried messing with the in game ASW(rctrl+numpad(1-4)) and it has not helped. What does, however, seem to immediately help the issue is Alt+Enter (Fullscreen to Windowed and vice versa). This fix is only temporary and after a few seconds I hit it again and it fixes it again for a short while. My FPS are not dropping and generally stay pegged at 40 with the current settings, even while the stutters occur. This has occurred with multiple aircraft (F16, P51, L39, Bf109, etc.). Could this be an issue with my GPU settings? (Gsync? (i have a g sync monitor)) I have updated my GPU drivers since the issue started and nothing changed. I honestly feel like all these damn driver updates screw up more things than they fix so when things are running properly I try to avoid it like the plague. I do generally play music in the background and have browsers open and such. But I did this before to no effect on performance so I don't think this is it, just adding for transparency. Additionally, my GPU monitoring software starts the "OSD" every time I fire the game up and don't know how to stop it from doing so (EVGA Precision XOC). Provided everything I could think of below. Will provide track file if needed. System Specs: Ryzen 7 3700x GTX 1080ti 32 gb 3200mhz RAM Rift-S In-game settings: Textures: High Terrain Textures: High Civ.
