In the fighters I've flown there is a PTT on stick and one on throttle. Allows you to be on a couple radios at once and use the other hand while busy. WW

In Controls, I can press the TM WH Paddle switch on the bottom of the stick and it only brings up the NWS mapping, no comm menu.

Same here I think. Yes, I have checked the mappings. Glad to see its not just me. I will retest Ground/Air.

Guys, I'm not positive that this is due to the F5 Module or not but I have numerous modules and when I activate the NWS the comm menu (Mapped to the / key) comes up. The next press clears it away. If I try to hit the / key on the keyboard, the comm menu wont come up. Any ideas? Thanks Will PS, I am not using the TARGET software. WW

Hi guys, I just built a DCS based flight sim for a local air museum by my house. Its in the cockpit of an L-29 Delphin Jet trainer. The monitor that came with the system will not show the post screen and I subsequently cannot see the Bios. Even if I hit delete key to get in, it remains a black screen. If I don't do anything, it just boots up nicely to Windows 10. It seems like a finicky setup and I get hung starts on occasion so I would suspect there may be a conflict somewhere but I cant find it if there is. I have seen this years ago and I forgot how I fixed it. If I use another monitor from home, i see the post and I can get right into the bios. So...Is it the monitor or in the monitor? If I use old drivers will the DK2 still work?

Hi Guys, I threw my Titan in my old AMD Phenom II X6 1090 3.20 GHZ rig that was in the closet. I have 16 Gig Ram and DCS runs pretty darned smoothly. I'm looking for a video driver to run the Rift on this machine if I can get decent frame rates. I tried to install the latest driver and it tells me that it wont install because it isnt the right driver. I havent tried the DK2 on it but I would imagine that it wont work with these 2011 drivers. Any ideas of how to update? Thanks Will BTW, Windows 7 Home 64bit

Thanks you guys! That worked. I had to minimize it! WW Visual is slightly better than DK2. Frames maybe 10% faster on initial try.

Thanks Skate, changing hdmi worked fine. DCS 2.0 up and running. Flies great. I am not getting the debug tool to work though. I start Oculus software, run debug tool, put in 2 for pixel density and then start DCS. The Rift turns off.

I used to be able to see the Rift SW VER prior to release of the CV1. Ive been using the DK2 in conjunction with the Rift front end store software. I think it is 1.4? and it just updated itself I THINK! :) As far as the DCS Alpha, it hasnt asked me to update so I think It is up to date. There must be an easy way. I am using Win 7 64bit.

Hi Guys, I just removed my DK2 and installed my CV1. It seems to work fine except in DCS. I am getting a gray screen in the RIFT and it says DCS is taking a long time and to check my app. In DCS on my monitor, I see the settings button and a corner of the startup screen. I can click it but then I cant see the options. What do you guys suggest? HELP!! I'm so close. :)

A P51D or K running at 61-67" and 3000 RPM should slow down 10-12 MPH with the coolant and oil door in auto in my experience. That is why we put a water spray-bar system in front of the coolant and oil radiators to keep the doors closed and the cooling drag low(Keeps doors closed). Will Whiteside

Well, I knew that would come up. :) I am really looking to fly with a group whom either has experience in real world military or civilian formation flying. Not meant to offend anyone who isn't, I just wanted to see how that experience adds to my immersion. I am flying with a group of great guys who know WAY more than I about simming and how the systems of these DCS aircraft work. But are not always available to fly. I would like to do both instruct and challenge myself in formation flying as I find that it transfers well to my real world flying. Overall, I'm just looking for a few more options of being able to jump on at the spur of the moment and put together a 2-4 ship formation flight with guys who know how it goes. More options is great!So taxi out, takeoff, enroute wingwork, some rejoins, come into the overhead, pitch out, land and taxi in as a flight. Maybe work up to aerobatics. Just the basics. Are there any groups that fit that description? Thanks Will

Are there any groups of either real world pilots who would be interested in allowing me to fly with you or a group that takes it seriously and flies to the real world standard? Just curious.
