I see what you did there! :P

Great stuff! I always have fun flying with ya'll. Eagle, I wish we had this the other week during Gazelle training! Thanks for posting it Spider.

I did the same thing, you have to watch the RPM's or BOOM!
-
or the can take over and show how to do it correctly.
That is going to make it very cool PR! I can't wait. You know what I was thinking, Eagle looking over saying..why did you do that? Here let me show you...:)

Yeah I can see it now, every time I do something wrong my IP is going to give me that in game WTF ya doing look! hehe!

Yep, as Shu said come on over to the BSD. Even as a small group we can help, with real helicopter pilots to help train you to fly and its just fun when we all get together to fly.

I think Striker is right, if I pick Russian, ATC is in Russian. I'm not sure but I think there was a way to copy the English files to the others so it would all be English.

How about weekends for now? I can't speak for all the BSD pilots but I know a few that are available during the day on weekends for missions. Our normal start time is 1 am Zulu, or 9 pm EST. A little late for the Euro guys, I know. Weekend days (EST) might be the quick answer for now.

Here's another German who wants to learn how to fly this chopper. So far I have about 1,100 flight hours, mostly on A-10C and Bf-109. The training missions in DCS provide some basics but they're hard to follow because the trainer is a verbal machine gun. I've gone to the BSD site and would love to join the BSD team because it seems structured and professional and one can really learn how to fly a chopper (at least a simulated one). I've worked for a US-based company for about 44 years so English is no problem. But the time zone? It seems that the BSD team's activity starts around 6 p.m. local which is midnight in Europe. I could not manage that.
Would be great to have something like BSD in Europe. Something like a European branch or franchise of BSD would be phantastic. Technically it should be possible to have a European sub-team use the BSD website; but it would take some liaison time on both sides of the big puddle and people on both sides committed to get it started and keep it going. I'm a retiree and would volunteer to get involved.
Interesting idea. I will pass it along.

I would love to see the Gator someday. I doubt we will. The Shark is still one of my favorites to fly though.

We do, and we can help you with the KA-50 (or any chopper). English speaking on East coast time. Come over to the site and introduce yourself. We can set up a time to get together on Teamspeak and fly some training flights. We are a mix of virtual pilots and real world pilots, some active military pilots as well. At least two use the Rift. We fly a mix of all choppers. Most of our missions are co op hosted by one of the group at least once a week.
A little hover training we do:
Edit:ex fixed wing Su-27 pilot myself!
And thanks Davis for the plug!

Mine is down from the 20's to 3 to 6 ..somethings up.

I bet there is a modder somewhere that could do it. :D

Almost the same as Die Hard, Ch fighterstick, pro throttle, throttle quadrant, and Saitek combat pro pedals. No curves at all and she works fine. But I can't say what works with FFB.
-
I know right? So the creepy looking co-pilot would be named JAFO if someone made the MOD. :D
-
+1 as well. I like it as it is..just needs some fine tuning in 2.0 with the PVI
-
Just saying..please?
I want to fly Blue Thunder!
Catch you later!

Of course the boss is kidding, I think...but I don't use auto start either!:music_whistling::lol:

I use one of the axis on a CH throttle quad for it. Most of the time it is a "set it and forget it" throttle. So key or axis..works just fine.

Huh, all I found is a strip club..
