  1. Hey Timex3. As NavyBrown mentioned. It has already been created but will be overhauled. More so updating the weapons. It's located on Page one of this Forum. # 18. I will remove it once it has been updated. Thanks, NavyBrown!

I'm currently working on USS Oak Hill and LPD Foudre FPS issues. The FPS issue has been resolved on both Mods. Weapon testing in Progress.

There's another DCS update coming before the end of the year I think. Let's hope it doesn't cause us more issues.

  2. Missile Speed calculations.

Hey guys so average missile speeds in DCS are calculated in milliseconds. m/s. I placed some examples below of the USS Fitzgerald's average missile speeds which are labeled "Vid_mid" within the missile. Lua file. I found a calculator online that was very useful. The link is below. This is for those interested in tweaking the missile speeds. Hope this helps.

    https://www.metric-conversions.org/speed/mach-to-meters-per-second.htm

Richmond SeaCeptor- Mach 3 Avg speed is 1020 m/s. With that said the missile speed is correct. I have it at 1000 m/s which is a bit slower.

    RIM-161: SM3 - Mach 8.8 Avg speed 2994 m/s

    RIM-66: SM2R - Mach 3.5 Avg speed 1191 m/s

    RIM-67: SM2ER - Mach 3.5 Avg speed 1191 m/s

  3. Hey Djiuce, I do collab with CH. He is the reason I am declaring missiles for the warships and if he created a warship with similar missiles. I would compare missile configurations to ensure they aligned as I did with the SeaCeptor but the Richmond SeaCeptor missile has greater range. I hope that answered your question.

Hey Mizuri, I only tested the UH-1 and the AH-64. You can adjust the height of other aircraft using these settings. Line # 60 "GT.Landing_Point = {-77.72, 13.208, -0.0}."  To explain the settings. -77.72 is forward and aft.  The center setting is for the height of the aircraft.  So try adjusting from 13.208 to 13.400 and so forth until you reach a height you're satisfied with. Let me know if you need assistance. Sorry, I can't stop the helicopter from moving. Honestly not sure why it does that. Thanks for the short videos.

Thanks, Enoy. I appreciate you making the effort to get involved but as Toan mentioned. The Type 26 and the Type 23 SeaCeptor missile ranges are different but the configuration is the same.

Thanks, Toan for chiming in and explaining the missile settings. I appreciate that.

Thank you all for getting involved. For every problem, there is always a solution. We're all here to learn.

  4. On another note. The USS Blue Ridge FPS issue has been corrected. You can find updated version 1.0.1 at Admiral189 DCS World Mods along with changes I made to the mod.

Also, the Massun 92 Asset pack Rudel_chw shared has a light mod that works great if you need more lighting on the ship flight deck. It's located under static objects/structures. Place it near the Flight deck of the ship and link it to that ship.

One thing I forgot to mention. Thank you all who have bought me coffee lately.  It shows me you appreciate my efforts. I really really appreciate it.

  5. Hey Guys. Thanks all for the compliments. I'm recovering well but I'm not there yet. After that Surgery, things will never be the same again.

Todays Topic. Missiles and more Missiles.

    - Let's talk about Missile Speeds because this seems to always be a burning issue. So the SeaCeptor has a speed of Mach 3 which is 3,588 kph. Everything in DCS is configured in Kph and meters. I'm not an expert in missile speeds so I try to configure the speeds based on information I obtain on the web. The question is what is the correct speed that the SeaCeptor missile should be launched and travel at?

If one of you knows the correct speed let me know and I will try to calibrate it. Also, all players must agree to that speed which I don't see happening because all of you have a different opinion about missile speeds. 😀 With that said whoever configures the missile speed correctly will become my new DCS AI Ship Mod Missile Speed configuration manager. 😄

Highmaintenance to answer your question. There is a way to configure the missile speed. First, adjust Line number 25 In the Richmond_SeaCeptor.Lua File. That is the average missile speed. Lower the average speed to what you think it should be. Second, Adjust line 93 under Thrust, t-march. This is the missile launch speed. Reduce the 63,000 down to what you think it should be launched at. Be careful with that line because it makes the missile go crazy after launch if you reduce it too much.

    - So the question about why the missile explodes after launch. I honestly don't know. To me, it seems like the missile loses track of the incoming missile and just decide to explode en route. Either way that is controlled by the DCS Game Engine. I honestly don't know how to correct it.  I'm sure there is a way but I don't know how honestly.

Remember all we do is configure the weapons and the DCS Game Engine does the rest. Once that missile is launched we have no control of it.  For all please place your Missile Speed results here and we can all go from there. Thanks

  6. That's a nice light and it's not too bright. Can you send a link to the Massun 92 Asset Pack Rudel?

I can add an Omni light of any color over the flight deck but it will always be on. The existing flight deck spotlights I added can be brightened but not sure how bright they need to be. I can also add more. I can also add any color to them.

I created the plaque already. Just need to add it to the model and the liveries.

  7. Hello everyone. Type 23 frigate HMS Richmond F239 has been released for download.

HMS Richmond is a Type 23 frigate of the Royal Navy. She was launched on 6 April 1993 by Lady Hill-Norton, wife of the late Admiral of the Fleet The Lord Hill-Norton, and was the last warship to be built by Swan Hunter Shipbuilders. She sailed from the builders on the River Tyne in November 1994. She is named for the Dukedom of Richmond.

I forgot to add the HMS Richmond has a damage model as well. If you have any major technical issues PLEASE PM me. Thank you all for your patience. Enjoy!

  8. Good Afternoon everyone. I have finished creating the HMS Richmond AI 3D Model ship for DCS.

I would like to thank all who contributed to the creation of the model. CH, Eddie, Toan, Marroux, Citizen, and CrazyEddie. Thank you all for your assistance in creating the HMS Richmond 3d model.

The HMS Richmond 3d model was created for printing I think but I made due with what I have. I couldn't find a better-detailed model of the ship online.

I am preparing her for release as I write this message. We try as 3d modelers our best to create 3d model AI ships to function as close as we can to the real ship. However, the DCS game engine doesn't always do what we want it to do. Also, we can not please everyone and I will not try to. That is impossible.  If you have some input that can make the AI Ship mods better PLEASE PM ME and share your thoughts.

Below are some snapshots of the HMS Richmond along with 3 UK Liveries and 3 Chile Liveries. I will give more details of the model once I release her.  Thank you all for your patience and understanding.  Stay Tuned!

  9. Hey Tactical_Apollo, sometimes it's difficult to get the exact hull colors of the ships unless you're physically standing beside them. I use a tool in Paint called Color Picker to pull the texture from photos I have but what I noticed is two photos of the same ship turn out different. I had a blueish texture on the HMS Richmond but I think it was too bluish so I removed it and just added a haze-grey texture.  If you can pull the exact texture color of the ship's hull colors, I'm more than willing to update the textures. I hope that explains why the Mod textures are the way they are.

Thanks so much, Pappy2. I'm recovering well at a slow pace but I'm getting there day by day. I appreciate the well wishes from you all. It means a lot. Thanks again Pappy.

  10. Good Afternoon everyone. Happy Thanksgiving to those who celebrate it.

I would like to thank you all for your support and kind words. It means a lot. It shows you are human. We all go through something that slows us down in life but it's up to all of us to push through it and keep moving. I am recovering slowly. It has really been a long year and it's not over yet. I am feeling much better but I'm still bothered by pain here in there. Hopefully, in a few weeks, I will be back up and running at full steam again.

To keep my mind occupied I worked on the HMS Richmond. I think she is 99% finished. Thanks to CH, Eddie, Toan, and Marroux for the testing and giving me advice. Teamwork makes the dream work. This model was actually made for printing I think but I made it work. It does what it should in DCS. I have created three Liveries for the UK and Chile.  Stay Tuned!

  11. Hey Guys these are all wonderful photos of the Fleet of ships.

To answer your question, Citizen. DCS doesn't like when we create a single object ship collision models for the ships so I've gone back to the old way of doing business and that's separating the flight deck from the rest of the collision mod. That has proven to solve the FPS drop issue. All ships will be tested for FPS drop prior to release using multiple aircraft types.

Acid that is a VSN mod. All versions still work in DCS. F-35A, B & C. They appear to respond to air threats quicker than some of the other AI Aircraft.

bbtbmb you can always revert back to an older version of DCS. The mods still should appear in the game no matter which DCS versions you are using.

******My back procedure went well yesterday but I'm down hard at the moment. Back pain like you wouldn't believe. Recovering slowly.********

  12. Hello Nvve. thanks, I've already updated the constellation to the correct dimensions. Thanks for catching it. I'm only human. I will release an updated version when I can thanks.

Thanks, Citizen and Toan. Really nice photos it shows you all are enjoying the mods. Sometimes I sit and wonder how often you all sit and play with the mods. Post some of your pics here so the community can see it.

Hey, Spino. the Arleigh Burke Flight Class is almost done. It has taken a while because I want to try and bring out as many features as possible in DCS.

I am finishing up the liveries on the HMS Richmond. I think I've done all I can do for her so I will release her soon.

Thanks, Hawkeye. The link for donations is at the bottom of my Admiral189dcsworldmods

I have a back procedure tomorrow so I will be down for a few days. It will take some time to recover from this one but I'm praying this is the last one.

Keep the Snapshots coming. It keeps me motivated. Thank you all for your interest.

  13. Hey Guys thanks for the photos. They keep me motivated to keep creating AI Ship mods.

KusadaKusao, I have that mod in my inventory. I really like the Mogami Class frigates. I watch their movement in Yokosuka, Japan sometimes. It will be some time before I can get to my Japanese AI Ship mods.

At the moment all my energy is going into the completion of the Type 23 Class Frigate.

  14. SHIPYARD Update.

Hey guys just wanted to update you on my AI Shipyard progress. Currently, I'm working on the Type 23 Frigate Richmond, F215 Brandenburg German Frigate, USS Fitzgerald DDG-62, and the OSA Missile Boats. Below are snapshots of what's to come. I've updated the Richmond with Naval Strike Missiles. Looks like there due to upgrade the Richmond 2023/2024. What's nice is you can see the downwash from the helicopters now on the water thanks to the recent update.

The German Frigate F215 Brandenburg was the 2nd or 3rd AI Ship mod I created back in 2020 when I first started. I just never released it. I have since upgraded all her weapons and radars. It's a low poly mod but it can hold its own in DCS so I think it will be another great addition plus there are no German ships in DCS at the moment that i know of. As mentioned I will try to create a mod for each country out there.

All mods are still a WIP. Stay Tuned. Thanks for your interest.
