In windows the box is checked saying "hide modes monitor dosnt support" checked through CCC at the resolutions in there and there dosnt appear to be any out of the ordinary ones in there, 1080i 30hz and 720p 60hz in the LCD support. Ive found the menu does actually work but its forcing my tv to go into 480p resolution for some reason! I thought id found a work around, I made the Launcher.exe run at 840x640 or whatever the option was and the menu ran, didnt quite fit on screen mind, the the game ran in 1920x1080 but as soon as you end mission it goes straight back to its old tricks :doh:

Hey dont go beaking your laptop :( I did manage to get a quick flight in but i couldnt manage to figure the weapons system out when a came across a tank convoy shooting at me but I did manage to crash into one of them :D Just a quick note on your LG, is it a 1080p set? If so I tried my comp on our main set in the front room and it worked :) problem is the missus isnt keen on switching the tv's round but theres one fix hehe. Hi Thanks again, My on screen display on my tv says 1080i/60 when on desktop or any other game including this sim, my refresh rate in Ati CCC is 30i if I force 60hz I get the same problem with windows as im having with the menu screen. When I go into Start menu/system info the display tab says 1920x1080x59hz And right click desktop properties says 1920x1080x30hz interlaced.... How confusing!! I forced a windowed resolution for DCS at 1910x1070 which almost fills the screen but when I do a tutorial and the guy is clicking things in the cockpit if he clicks near the bottom of the screen he selects all my quicklaunch icons :helpsmilie: Just carnt understand why the game works but not the menu screen. Its like the menu screen is running progressive scan and the game interlaced??

Oooh that makes sence... Thanks I read Dragons post about the screen being 4:3 resolution and removed the background images from the options screen, it still dosnt work but it makes it easyer to find the options, just carnt read them lol

There is 1360x768 via HDMI, will this be better?

Works fine on the 1080p set :S GF wont let me swap though :( It seems like the menu screen is setting itself to Progressive scan yet the game is setting to Interlaced?

Bloody computers!! Ive tried forcing things with that file but im not confident with messing around in there... Thanks for having a bash. Guess Ill have to contact support and hope they have a fix for me.

There is a file in Blacksharl/Data/Scripts/Options where you can change the resolutions and aspects but I dont know if you can change one and not the other.

Afraid I dont, Really carnt understand why this is happening. I know the menu screen and the game are two different programs so I guess the menu program just dosnt like me. I prob wont be able to fly if I get this fixed anyhow lol

Nope still didnt work, whatever resolution I set it to if it is in fullscreen mode it knocks my TV down to 480p and wont display :( Managed to click instant action by chance, heres a picture of the game on 1920x1080 Just the menu wont have it, does anybody know a way to set the menu screen to windowed but the game to fullscreen?

Its a 26" Ill give that resolution a try. Its a 720p 1080i set BRB Fingers crossed

Its connected via HDMI, if there was a way to set the menu screen to windowed but the game itself to fullscreen this would work I guess. I have many games on this comp and all work fine at 1920x1080 its just this menu screen. But i think your right, the menu screen is setting to a strange resolution and or refresh rate which is causing the screen to not display.

Hi Thanks again Yes it a Sony KDL-S26A12U Its 1080i not P If I alt tab out of game with task manager open the menu screen is fine but then of course its windowed. Just found out its not just the high resolution the menu screen wont work on its any resolution if it is set to full screen? A quick picture of the alt tab screen print

Hi Thanks for your reply I am able to set ratio's but all the ones listed dont make it work. The game runs fine at 1920x1080 but its just the problem being able to select a game mode. One more piece to the jigsaw, I pressed screen print on the corrupt menu screen to upload a picture but when I paste the screen print it prints my desktop? Paul

Hi Peeps, This is my 1st flight sim and I invested in x52 and trackir and I carnt get Black Shark to work, please help!! My desktop resolution is 1920x1080 but if I run the game in this resolution the menu screen seems to run at a resolution my LCD dosnt support, the screen splits in 2 and all the graphics are messed up. The game its self runs fine at this resolution but you carnt see the options enough to select anything. The only way I can get the options screen to work perfectly is run it at anything below 1920x1080 windowed. Anybody else had this problem? Regards P Howe
