I had the same problem, can you get full screen to work if you set the resolution of the game to less than the resolution of your desktop? Are you using a 1080i 720p LCD tv?

Im pretty sure the files will fit on a 4.7gb dvd disk, I burnt them too one. 1.3gb ish and 850meg ish files? Think it was only 4.5gb's when installed.

It seems that having water on High over Normal was causing the problem even when no water was in the area. I gained 15fps from this one setting. Now 1920x1080x60hz all High and On apart from water, AAx8 edge detection (samples 24x) AF x16 A.I Disabled = 47ish FPS on instant action

It was under instant action I got 30 FPS, maybe im just being greedy. Its on 1920x1080 1024every frame cockpit and all settings on high. Just seems odd that no AA = 30 fps and AAx8 AIx16 and mipmap full = 30 FPS. Arr well

No Guys no, Im a full screener now :thumbup: I made a profile in Ati CCC to force AA and AI as there is non in game but turning all that tackle off didnt effect my FPS, unless forcing AA didnt work in the first place, ill have to take some screen shots to compare.... Thanks for your replies guys

Hi This isnt a major problem but would like the answer if anybody can help. Im using affinity tool for all my cores and my FPS are at 30. I wanted to increase my FPS maybe to 60 idealy so I turned off my AA x 8 AI x 16 Ect expecting a good increase yet my FPS are still 30? Dont think its a CPU problem Q6600 at 3gh on 4 cores.. Does anybody know of a VSync setting maybe? Or any other sugestions why I found no increase? Thanks Washer

You need to put it on a DVD disk, go to "My computer" open your optical drive and drag/drop files into it, then "burn"

Options, then tick the box "full screen" then "apply"

Then crank that Q6600 to 3.2 ghz :smilewink:

Hi You know your stuff Dragon ill give you that, CCC is infact scalling the screen but there is an overscan feature which has a slider to adjust screen size, this is only enabled on 1920x1080... guess thats where the problem is. What I dont understand is when I select 1920x1080 the black border is much bigger than the 1700x1000 resolution unless I use the slider? Also the menu screen does work in full screen on 1700x1000 but when I took a screen print to show it off to you folks when I pasted in paint i got a picture of my desktop!!! Anyway at least now I can learn how to fly.... Lessons anyone? lol

And now ive just changed it to 1776x1000 which leaves just a small amount of black border and guess what.... were in :pilotfly::pilotfly::pilotfly::joystick::joystick: LOOK :music_whistling:

Dragon I just changed my screen resolution down too 1360x768 by right clicking on the desktop/properties way rarther than with ATI CCC which made windows a box in the middle of the screen? but i ran DCS fullscreen and it worked!!

I shall give it a try, would be nice to get my tv to turn on/off with the comp again too :)

Hmm it would be a bum ache though switching between the two leads :( I just gave away my VGA cable with my old pc... Do you know what the max res would be with VGA? is super VGA better?

Just tried my CC9.1 with AI set to advanced and no problems loading...

For what its worth I use with CC9.1 with vista64 and dont have your problem, although I have one of my own, my menu screen dosnt work. Dont think its CC's fault though. I only have the 4850 too, not as posh as you :(

Still no word from DCS on the issue, heres hoping for a solution though, Its an expensive mistake if there isnt one... *Gives dirty look to computer*

Hi Yes I tried the 640x480 mode and thought i'd cracked it, not all the info fitted on screen but it worked at least. Only problem is as soon as you finnish a mission (in my case crash! ) it goes straight back to its tricks :(

Just to let you helpfull chaps know the menu works in the multiplayer version!!! Im going to try reinstalling...
