Did you try this place ? http://www.avialogs.com/index.php/en/aircraft/ussr/yakovlev/yak-52/6494thedefinitivepilotsoperatinghandbookfortheyakovlevyak52.html This is a payware but at least you can access the entire online manual.

Unrealistic landing and emergency air system doesnt work.
Woodbuster replied to motoadve's topic in DCS: Yak-52
Okay that's a start. We could potentially prove that in DCS the yak-52 can perform a max perf landing run on less than 200 m of runway. Now the trick is ; could we demonstrate that is not possible in real life ? Please do not shoot... I read what you wrote but from a developer's POV that is not enough. On my side I'm searching on the internet but it's hard to get something on this specific topic (and to get numbers, developers love numbers !). Without numbers we could try a report from a bunch of YAK-52 pilots if you know some (we could try CJ6 pilots' report but I'm afraid it could dismissed by devs) . Are we on the same freq at now ? Or should I expect to be looked down on again? -

Will you use the map view to measure the braking distance ? Or any other means ? -

Bad start really...that is sad. I think you don't get my point or I used the wrong words. I'm not questioning anybody there. Except maybe your way of reply... Actually I'm extremely interrested in comments from experienced people like motoadv and i don't need to be sermoned by others. Now I guess motoadv like anyone here would like this brake wrong behavior to be fixed. Right ? If so we need to gather strong arguments. We can't ask devs to modify this or that on a single comment (even highly reliable). They need numbers, they need proofs/documents. That is just it. -

"Wow, you are even questioning a RW pilot who flies both planes IRL, that's something new! Did you actually read what motoadve wrote???" Please wait 2 minutes before racing masked vigilante. English is not my native language and I need some time to choose my words. Thank you. -

Ok I'll do that. -

Ahahah ! Err guys I was talking about simulation, you understood that uh ? Anyway this was just a digression amongst many others here and there (that's why I used italics for this sentence)...and of course I agree you can disagree...that's the beauty of forums ! I don't want to feed any polemic neither look for quarrels. I just humbely seek to learn from those who know. Once again few very simple question : Are we sure the real YAK52 brakes the same way as CJ6 ? Once this question sorted we could partially or totally reply to the next one : Does the DCS YAK52 brakes the same way as its real life counterpart. Motoadv is certainly an experienced person that's not the point but I think we need a more infos. Specially from pilots who praticed short landings on Yak52. And then we will adress a report to devellopers with strong arguments. That's it. -

Could we come back to the original post ? Everybody there knows that as flightsimmers and whatever our good or bad flying habits/uses we do expect the "pixalized" yak52 do behave as close as possible from its real life counterpart :music_whistling:. BTW and IMHO the more you fly an aircraft out of its limits the more you learn from it. Now, the OP was about the excessive braking strengh in DCS Yak-52 compared to a real CJ6 Nanchang. -First thing to be sure of is: Does a real CJ6 brake exactly the same way as a real Yak52? -Although I do not question motoadve's expertise, it would also be useful to get some info from other real pilots on that point. -
I finally found a reply by myself. PT-200 is an INVERTER it converts DC power from generator to AC power. It feeds RADIO COMPASS. PAG-1 is an INVERTER it converts DC power from generator to AC power. It feeds ATTITUDE INDICATOR. Lot of informations could be find there: http://www.aviaserv.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=641&Itemid=207

Really ? No one can help here ? BTW I think these devices should be converters(AC to DC) not inverters(DC to AC).

It's less obvious as spitfire gauges are more deeply embedded in the cockpit and therefore less exposed to direct light. But look at my screenshot, the glitch is there too.

Hi, Since the latest update (release version 2.5.5.32533) I've noted a display glitch with 2 of my aircrafts: Spit IX and Yak 52. As you can see on pictures below, some gauges glasses are very dark. This happens over Caucasus Map (Maykop-Khanskaya) at 07.00 with sun in the back. No problem with my other aircraft (P51, Mig 15, Bf109, Su33, UH-1H).

Hi Specialists, I've two questions: 1-What, on real aircraft, is fed by (via) PAG-1FP Inverter ? 2-What, on real aircraft, is fed by (via) PT-200 Inverter ? Thanks

Hi Maurizio, As usual the official manual is available in your Doc directory (in this case DCS World\Mods\aircraft\Bf-109 K-4\Doc). However I'm not sure you can officially get it without downloading the aircraft. Alternatively you can get this guide from Chuck's :https://www.mudspike.com/chucks-guides-dcs-bf-109k-4-kurfurst/ But I'm sure you already get this one ;-)

well... a teenager with her dad I'd say...:smilewink: Except this little funny detail this is a great video and we can see how clearer are the windows compared to ours. Wouldn't there anything we could tweak on texture transparency ?
-
Hi All, The glasses of the cabin roof windows are so dark that one can hardly see through. Is that only me or is it a known issue and if so is there a way to improve that ?
-
Ah ! My bad. I assigned my push to talk button to "Switch Dialog" instead of "Pilot's radio trigger RADIO". VHF/UHF work fine whatever the gameplay tab option at now.
-
On my end, this only works with UHF freqs and when Easy Communication option is checked on Gameplay Tab.
-
Well, at least this has been reported... Qui vivra verra... :smilewink:
-
I guess everybody knows this video already, but here is a link just in case you'd decide to watch it again...

Few more details about this issue: 1-This happens on Cold and dark as well as on engine running start situation. 2- Knobs can't be rotated clockwise and therefore the white stripes can't move up. 3- This can be bypassed by rotating knobs counterclockwise to an inverse value of the desired amount of ammunition and then increasing it. Should it really work like this in RL? According to my test the incators indicate a different amount of ammunution load depending on whether you start on runway or cold start. And this whatever the actual ammunition load. It looks like an initialization issue.
