you know it just amazes me the mentality of the consumer these days! No company needs to be defended by the consumer. Either you like or dislike the product and write a review and that's pretty much it. People read and agree or disagree with those reviews then make their decision to buy. I am not going to argue but im not staying quiet either. The game industry is going downhill. Last year was the worst year I have ever seen in the industry! Fallout 76 ouch! Microtransaction COD ouch! Anthem is it still alive?! The problem with the industry is it relies on the internet way to much these days. I have been gaming since the old Atari Intellivision days. Back in the day when you purchased a game you purchased thee game! Developers back then built games then tested and fixed and tested over and over again till the game was ALL done. Balders Gate, Dungeon Keeper, Ripper, Civilization and many more fun games all done. You bought the game installed it and played the story. No internet and no weekly or monthly updates. This game has been out since 2013 on Steam. Steam does not list the game as beta or early access. The description of this game states it will take you from a beginner to advanced fighter pilot. The tutorial of this game teach you how to start and work some of the systems. YouTube videos have taught me advanced skills not this game. Hell I learned how to start up the ECM thru YouTube which should have been in the cold start tutorial! There are youtube videos over 4 years old that talk about issues in the game that still exist to this day. If you want to preorder then go for it but have some respect for your fellow consumers who are asking the company some valid questions about just how complete will the module be or whats the time frame for completion. ED I really do love this game and have lots of fun and some frustration. I am not preordering the F-16 because I just don't have faith in the game industry right now. The f-18 is a fun jet to fly and I hope to see this module fully complete and bug free soon! You know what is really funny is someone talked about Boeing and halting production of the 777 and comparing real world to this game. If ED was held to the same standards as the real world aviation industry you probably would not see this game being sold because of software issues and safety standards. Boeing cant just slap a plane together then sell it and start working on fixes as they get reported because actual lives are at stake.

I also have the warthog and it works great for me. Make sure you see the diamond up in the right corner for the screen you want to slew around in. I use the sensor select switch next to the tdc to switch between the atk rdr and sa screens. The sensor select switch is multi function so make sure you do not have a target acquired when trying to switch screens. When target is acquired the sensor will switch between bore modes and a quick tap to the right will lock your current target to stt if the radar has ltws selected.

The flight sim expo in florida doesn't have eagle dynamics or dcs listed in sponsors, exhibitors and no speakers scheduled. And I didn't see any mention of this company at E3 LA. Both June conventions.

Today I wanted to practice cold start and launch from the carrier. I have run thru this quick little mission several times with no hiccups but today just could not get off the deck. Startup was no problem. Problem one is taxi up to cat. The jet slides side to side which makes it a little hard to line up. Yes the ship rocks and can cause the jet to roll but this was a drift sideways. Next problem is cat connect. Several times I lined up right behind the cat with launch bar down and clearance from tower. Press u to lock into cat and nothing happens.

Thank you for clearing this up for me! I have been practicing in the Nevada aim-7 mission. It provides 6 targets with 2 of them pairs. First off I am having to go into atk rdr and select data and turn off ltws. This was really screwing me up when trying to engage targets. I see it is good at locking multiple targets but once I try to select a weapon it just goes bonkers moving back and forth. Other than that the procedure I used was lock tgt on rdr and close in to at least 8 miles and fire. With the pairs again lock up first tgt and fire then press nosewheel to unlock tgt then scs forward to select acm bore and lock 2nd tgt and fire and then finish with unlock again and another depress of nosewheel to exit acm mode. Am I on the right path here? Another thing I could use advice on is how to always keep ew on the left dvi? Every time I switch between weapons the left dvi will switch to stores.

Hey all! I am having troubles figuring out how to switch the soi. I am using the warthog throttle and have the same sensor control setup used in the warthog. I have atk rdr on right dvi ew on left and sa on bottom. When just using the sensors without a/a button on but master arm on, I can easily switch between dvi screens and hud. Problem is when I turn on a/a and lock target if I flip the sensor switch I change hud lock to bore site or 2 vertical dashed lines. It seems the only way to get back to using the sensor to flip between dvi is to turn off a/a. Did I map something wrong in my hotas or am I missing a step to switch between controlling the dvi and site modes?

Hey all, I am looking for a squad to join. I am on the west coast of Merica. Mostly fly between 9pm to midnite during the week and whenever on weekends. Been Learning to fly the F15, A10c and f18. Just been running missions and campaigns and would like to get feet wet in the online side of things.

The advice in here worked great! TMS up short has been giving me good hits! Thank you thank you thank you! Was getting so frustrated locking targets with TGP then slaving and then mav soi flying closer and closer never getting a lock. Now I am locking up the target within range firing and rolling out. It's beautiful! Any advice finding hidden targets with TGP? Shooting gallery mission waypoint 3 has t55 tanks hidden under trees. Only way I know they are there is by the labels. I have zoomed in and used all 3 visual modes like IR, and white. Just can't see them

Hey all! Been playing missions in the A-10c and f-15c practicing dog fights and ground attacks. In the F15 I mostly run clean sweep since it gets me into the action pretty fast. Weapons training with the A10. I also tried the f15 bear trap campaign but got stuck on the 2nd mission. So I believe I am past the tutorials but cant handle the campaigns and some of the missions are a real pain in the... So where do I go? Are there missions that can progress me thru SOP? Like in the Marines going from boot camp to MCT. This game is kinda reminding me of Ninja Gaiden were you get thru the levels like a breeze then die within 2 seconds of the boss battle.

Ok thank you for the information. I have seen the option for ground crew refuel, arm and repair. I was wondering if there were any tutorials or manuals for in air fix. For example in the f-15c once my right engine got hit and I had the engine fire warning go off. I was able to shut the engine down but could not figure out how to kill the fire.

First post having lots of fun learning this sim and how to fly and fight! Hate landing haha! It has been about a month flipping between tutorials and lots of youtube videos. Lots of content out there but I have yet to stumble across any fix it procedures so thought I would ask here. When you get hit but still able to go on is there any way to fix the problem? radar loss, engine out and so on.
