Anyone have one of these they are willing to share?

I haven't flown any of the DCS titles since before the release of DCS World. So, I downloaded the Word, A10, and Black Shark 2 modules and proceeded to install them. I tried to fire up BS, and when I got in the cockpit. After un-pausing, I cannot interact with any of the cockpit switches/etc. I also tried to start the aircraft with the cheat keystrokes, and nothing happened. I alt-tabbed out and returned to the sim and while the cursor changes when it hovers over a switch, it cannot interact with anything. Again, the startup cheat keystroke doesn't work. I fired up the A10 module, and it seemed to be a bit more responsive, though I couldn't quit from the escape menu. I uninstalled the whole thing and re-downloaded everthing (just this evening). I reinstalled and tried again, but still no luck. No ability to get the Shark going, and the escape menu is non-responsive. Any ideas on how to get this fixed?

I use the startup cheat in SIM mode all the time (playtime is limited and precious - better spent flying that flipping switches!) Double check the key assignment to make sure. I usu hold the key combo down for a couple of seconds when I start up. Turn up the sound a bit so you can hear all the switches being thrown. I trust you've tried using the keyboard to initiate the startup cheat, right? If not, and you are going only by your inability to use it on your stick, try it with your keyboard. If it still doesn't work, try remapping the cheat to a different key combo and see if it works. Personally, I'd rethink mapping the startup cheat to your stick anyway. You only use it once per mission, and at a time when you really don't need to keep your hands on the stick. Why waste a stick button on that?

Practice for sure, but some guidance in terms of how to execute the maneuvers would be helpful, it would tell me WHAT to practice!

Loved the flying in the youtube videos. Any links for info on how to do that in the Shark?

I haven't had a chance to give the new patch a try - does anyone know if the JTAC dropping 0's in coordinates bug has been fixed?

Very cool missions! Landed at Senaki and Vaziano first time. Amazing how the runway just pops out of the storm in the final seconds!! Thanks!

Or have it in the main UI menu screen. Should be easy enough to do.

Not all JTACs can send data too. Depending on the unit tasked, you may not actually get data even if there is a "sending data" message.

Ok, I've managed to get the JTAC symbology on the TAD and successfully prosecute the target using it. Now, how do I get rid of it when I no longer need it? I was running a mission last night and wound up with 4-5 red triangles on my TAD all in the same general direction. Is there some way to clear expired data that I've missed?

Using the Touch IR app (w/ Auto Hotkeys in app purchase) mentioned previously, I've created an MFD for my iPhone. Here's the layout, feel free to use it how you wish. (You'll have to configure it yourself!) The three buttons in the middle are to switch to different layouts, so you can switch from the left mfd to the right and vice versa, and I use the UFC available at the ipadpit site and have linked that in as well. mfdFINAL.zip

I'm torn between the two myself. I've had BS almost since it came out, and finally started getting deeper into it a couple of months ago. Now I've got A10 (the Warthog has always been one of my favorites!) and am trying to learn that while keeping my BS skills sharp (butterknife sharp, that is!). As much as I'm enjoying the A-10, there's still a lot to be said for sneaking in at low alt to wreak havoc. It seems like the heli gets you in the mix a bit more whereas the A-10 seems a bit...sterile? It also seems like Black Shark takes a bit more sheer piloting (at least for me). In contrast the Hog seems silky smooth. Even landings have been a breeze, but I've flown fixed wing sims exclusively for years and BS is my first helo sim.

I've got a TIR3w/vector too and have been considering moving up to TIR5. What kind of difference do you notice between the two?

I've created this humble mission for anyone else who is still getting the hang of flying these upside down lawnmowers. You've got a few short waypoints to fly to and a handful of targets that don't shoot back. I wanted something to start using the weapons with, and I figured that with flying skills like mine, there was enough danger in the mission without any targets with teeth! Enjoy! easy killin.miz
