Hello pilots. I understand this module is in early access but wanted to share something with you all. I’m not entirely sure if it’s just me but in the mariana ww2 carrier in instant action I’m experiencing some major performance issues only when I look at the carrier (all other ships in the area do not kill my frames only the carrier) My CPU frame time goes nuts. Tried all graphical settings. Same effect. Now when I take off and I’m not looking at the carrier everything just plays absolutely flawless but soon as I turn and look at the carrier all hell breaks loose. I am using the eye tracking mod for psvr2. I can be facing the carrier but looking away and frames remain stable 90 but when I look directly at the carrier with my eyes it becomes a mess. Is this something that needs optimization? for what it’s worth I tried disabling the eye tracking mod but performance becomes worse in both GPU and CPU frame times.

I’m running a psvr2 with DFR eye tracking. My GPU frame times with other warbirds are low around 3ms at most. With the Corsair GPU frame times are low but CPU frame times jump all over the place. i7 12700kf 4070ti 32 ram 3200 2tb nvme 1tb ssd

Do you guys think things will improve with the fps performance in vr with the Corsair? I’m playing with a psvr2 and with eye tracking DFR. on FPSVR my GPU frame time is under 2.0ms. (Used to be 9-10ms before DFR) but my CPU frame times go from 6ms to 15ms in spikes. it’s nuts. This is only with the Corsair but with other planes like the 109/mustang/190 its completely INSANE how smooth and low frame times all the way through. my CPU may be the weak link i7 12700kf rtx 4070ti 12gb vram 32gb 3200 ram 2tb nvme 1tb ssd

Everything was great till we “ha ha ha” and circled around for a bit searching for targets then soon as a the chatter of “aren’t you supposed to be back in the states” starts the flight vanished. Love this campaign btw very well done.

Is this dlc vr friendly?
Sparc replied to Sparc's topic in P-51D: The Blue Nosed Bastards of Bodney Campaign
Thanks I’ll give it a go. -
I’m looking for a campaign for the p51. I purchased charnwood and it was a waste of money. It’s virtually unplayable. Soon as I take off it starts to lag then in worst case scenario it freezes then crashes. Unreal. I have the bf109 campaign and it is fantastic. Love it. How vr friendly is the BNBOB? i7 12700kf 4070ti 12gb 32 go 3200mhz ddr4 2tb ssd dpvr e4 hmd

Operation charnwood I just purchased it and can’t even play it. I’m very disappointed. I play bf109 jagenp—— (I don’t remember the name) and it’s flawless with fps drops in reasonable situations. Charnwood is totally broken soon as I take off its a slideshow. vr dpvr e4 i7 12700kf 4070ti 32gb 3200mhz ddr4 ram 2tb ssd

2.8 loading textures takes a loooooong time.
Sparc replied to Das Boot's topic in Game Performance Bugs
This issue is happening to me as well. I just upgraded my ram from 16 to 32 today in hopes this was the problem but same thing. Takes about 8-10 seconds for everything to load up. Kinda bugs me. I got it figured out. I feel so dumb. The A-29B only runs on 2.8 ob. Stellar mod btw. But I'm curious, will the cockpit ever see better textures? Like is this something that's still being worked on?
-
ive been at it all day! i followed grim reapers tutorial on downloading and installing the A-29B. DCS stable (single player here) C\users\my name\saved games\DCS\mods\aircraft the A-29B is in the game but when i select training cold start all i get is a map and the ai is controlling the aircraft. also in mission editor i select the A-29B and click on "client" and tried "player" but ai controls the aircraft. im currently doing a complete slow repair to see if this helps. please help shed some light.

I totally agree with this. They are quite a challenge to take down. Thank you. These are small foamy models but they fly fast and very stable.
-
Lol my wife ended up getting both dcs modules for me. I'm loving them. Still my favorite plane is the bf 109. I need to work on my turn fighting I lose a lot of speed on turning.
-
Ended up with both. I love the simplicity of the dora but the mustang shreds me most of the time (ai)
-
Guys my wife is buying me a module and they are on sale. I only have one option between the mustang and the Dora. I love the mustang how it performs as the trainer version but who's the better fighter? I have a feeling it's the dora. I have both rc models btw xD

I may be doing something wrong here but during training in the co-pilot seat none of the buttons work. Its asking me to "WAS up" & move cursor to TSD but I get nada. Not even the flight stick moves when I move the stick around. Is there a dedicated control mapping for the gunner? Bug? Update: I just watched Matt's video on controls and apparently theres a dedicated control mapping for "AH-64D CP/G" so this may be what I missed. Hope this may help someone else.
-
I'm absolutely digging this thing. Best 50 bucks I've ever spent honestly. I'm currently having an issue in training with the 30mm in co-pilot seat. none of the buttons want to work. Its asking me to set right MFD to "soi" (using f16 terms here sorry) it works fine in pilots seat but not co-pilot. I'm gonna create a thread in the bug area but wanted to share w you guys. Edit: theres a dedicated control mapping for the CP/G

That's true. Anyhow after some practice I can get her up without any wobble I simply give her very VERY little left yaw while increasing collective. it's all footwork.
-
Talk about pucker levels on take off. She does wobble around until you start moving then becomes stable. The gazelle I can take off smoothly no wobble. Hope this isnt the norm

At first, i was worried my pc was going to spaz out from frame issues but after toning down graphics she is butter smooth and im ok with that. i get to fly an apache. playing strictly on vr having the monocle on my right eye really adds to the immersion. i really get that feel i'd assume the real pilot gets when looking around with that in front of your eye. There's a lot to learn on this ship and i will gladly take my time. my wife will never see my face for months xD thank you ED
-
open beta is better than stable. why not use that one?
-
dear pilots, we regret to inform you that the ah-64 apache will be delayed until Q4 2027. thank you for your patience. xD
-
one month ago i was doing the macarena in excitement for the ah64. then i was shot down by a sam when it was announced that there will be a delay. today im going to evade 6 sams.
