I think some hi res pics of the full cockpit would be great as you could put numbers next to the switches while learning, example starting the aircraft. thanks mithandra

if you think about it in real life if your a pilot when you launch you dooms day weapon you dont get a close up cam of the hit, jsut possibly see the smoke as you pass over. DCS A10 is a huge improvement over KA-50 IMHO, I am looking forward to seeing waht the devs have in store for us next :) Thanks mithandra

Hi Guys, Just received my HOTAS Warthog after using the HOTAS Cougar for the past 2 years and thought I would share some of the experience. Put the throttle and the stick together the other night. The throttle and the Stick both have their own USB connections which is a nice added bonus. There were no drivers in the box so after some investigation I found out that it just used proprietary windows drivers which is another nice feature. I spun up DCS A10 and lined up on the runway for takeoff. Put the flaps down by just moving the flaps switch to pos 2 (very nice and slick), whacked the throttle to full and off I went rolling down the runway. Pulled back on the stick and took off. The experience really is very responsive and impressive. The stick is absolutely fantastic. Very very responsive, there is some resistance there when pushing and pulling the stick but not enough to be uncomfortable. There is no programming to be done either, one nice feature i found but haven’t got working yet was in the option of DCS A10 to sync the HOTAS with the cockpit when starting the sim. (Tried this but after pressing pause couldn’t click anything or do anything apart from moving the camera round) The responsiveness IMHO is second to none, while in flight if you want to turn very slowly just apply a hairs breath of pressure to the stick and off you go. I think it just feels perfect. The lights on the throttle are also very nice looking and allow you to play in dimmer light while still learning the controls, the throttle feels just right and is also very responsive. I would defiantly recommend one of these HOTAS system, best thing I have bought in a long long while. Thanks Mithandra

My Wife would like to say "thanks very much ED" for the outlay you have forced me into :megalol::music_whistling::music_whistling: 1. Saw the game the other day and bought it without a thought :) 2. I currently am using a HOTAS Cougar setup but now there is a HOTAS Warthog, this makes me feel inferior so now I have to spend £329 on some more joysticks :) (wifes gonna kil me) No seriously guys, fantastic job so far, I bought KA-50 but stopped playing it as you needed a degree in astrophysics to keep the damn thing in the air :) Keep up to good work and look forward to the next beta release :) thanks Mithandra

thanks for your comments Moa, Yes that would be a concern. When you log into MP you can create a server though, I am assuming you wait for people to join said server and then launch the game (as per many of MP games) There is nothing listed in the list for any servers which is what concerns me :) Thanks Mithandra

Thanks Tusler, I am currently using a HOTAS cougar but very very tempted to get a warthog at the moment I am trying to talk myself into it :) The only concern I have is that there is a thread with loads of people having issues were the throttle just stops working or the firmware get wiped. thanks Mithandra

Hi All, I bought the game a few days ago and am trying to get a mate to buy also so that we can hook up in multiplayer. Launching the multiplayer online part of the game i can see that there are no serrvers, i found this strange as I would have thought that us beta players would have setup servers to play MP. Does anyone know if the MP part of the game is functional and can be played? Thanks Mithandra

Hi All, I am just working my way through the training missions I downloaded from the DCS website and was wondering if someone could help with the Maverick mission. I have got to the point were it says "with the HUD set to SOI press the HOTAS DMS Right command to select the AGM-65H profile on Station 9" I think i have done this by just selecting DMS from the left MFCD and then clicking OSB 9, I am not sure how to set the HUD as SOI though. Any help would be appreciated thanks Mithandra

Interesting.... I am also considering a warthog system, currently I have the Cougar HOTAS and have been very happy with it. I am a little concerned that Cali has posted a link to comments from people saying that they have lost there throttle becuase of firmware problems. $500 is a little high to be paying for something that could just be a paper weight. thanks Mithandra

Hi Fakum, The phantom Monitor fix is a exe that you run in the background which emulates a monitor to the left (in mysetup anyways).

sorry for the late post guys been away :) I suffered no frame loss when running on my hardware. I have since upgraded my gfx card to a single Gainward GTX 295.

Not for me - no matter what I do its crashes then its suddenly starts working again for no reason. I have tried loading up MP then quiting and then launching the game then into a campaign but still get the error message. Anyone know of a way to run the app without getting these error messages? How does one launch the sim by command line? by using: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Eagle Dynamics\Ka-50\bin\stable\Launcher.exe" --console at the command prompt? thanks Mithandra

OK so basically what is needed is: 1. Land 2. Switch Radio to Ground Crew(Simulates them connecting to the aircraft to chat) 3. When done switch back from ground crew (simulates them disconnecting) 4. Request takeoff from the tower. Thanks Mithandra

Hi Guys, Well I am well into the first oil campagin but after my retarded wingman decided it would be a good idea to rectally insert a SAM missile I headed back to base after depleating all of my ordinance. Landed then requested a rearm with the default loadout, I also tried tank buster loadout, but nothing happends. Anyone else been able to rearm if so how? Do you have to land in a specific place of something? I landed the Helo on one of the H ground symbols. Thanks Mithandra

Linux games are few and far between. Wine allows you to run windows applications in a virtual windows enviroment running on linux. Downside to this is that it is slower that the intended implementation. Mithandra
