OK, I have opened the editor and loaded Deployment01 missions from the campaign. I have selected myself on the map but dont see anything about skins. Attached is a screen shot if you could help. Thanks Mithandra

Thats strange, i just rebuilt my machine the other day from Vista 64 to Windows 7 x 64, i was not aware of the deactivation process. I started with 7 left now i only have 6 after installing the game on Windows 7. How does one go about de-activating? thanks Mithandra

I was just loking through the Campaign's after installing DCS on Windows 7 and notices that in 4 of the 5 Campaigns have the following text at the top. "WARNING: This Campaign is designed for high end windows XP systems and is not compatable with windows Vista" There was no mention of this on the site when i bought the product, anyone know anything about these? I am using MS OneCare which is fantastic, doesn't slow the system down at all and only starts doing stuff on its own when your not at the KB. Mithandra

I totally agree, the Cougar is the best HOTAS I have ever bought, it feels like the real thing. A mate of mine (twobells in the forums) has had his for some time, I didn't buy before because I thought £250 was a little much just for a joystick, but since they have come down in price to £170 i thought I would take the plung and I would recommend these to anyone, I also bought the Track IR Pro 4 system which makes the game even more real :) Thanks Mithandra

whole thing is silly if you ask me - thats that a HOTAS is for. Also this would cause problems with voice chat in multiplayer i am guessing. Mithandra

Are you running the latest GFX drivers for your card? if not update them and try that. Mithandra

Personally I prefer never to overclock a CPU, reduces the life of the CPU. Just a personal preference. If i want a faster CPU i will buy the one i want :) Thanks Mithandra

Hi Guys, Well I have just purchased my Cougar HOTAS and has a Saitek X45 System spare which I would like to sell for £30 + postage. If you are interested please send me a pm. I thought I would offer this to the DCS community before putting it on ebay at a higher price. Mate of mine has just tested this with his setup (havent confirmed this with mine yet but he said when using the gui based one trackIR does not work. Anyoine else experienced this? Mithandra

get a quad core cpu and use the tweak to run on all cores within the forum. Video card does will not show that much improvment. currently running 2 x 8800GTX 768MB in SLI and get the same frame rate as a mate with a 280 Mithandra

Hi All, Well after reading this post I am very tempted to pull out my second 19" monitor. I have a question though: I dont really want to buy a touch screen monitor kit (would prefer a real touch screen without a kit) so could this setup be used for people who just use the mouse? What I want to do is have my game running on my main monitor at 1920 x 1200 and then have the rest of the stuff on the other 19" screen at 1600 x 1200. Thanks Mithandra

One thing I have found when flying in Sim mode is that straight away the heli starts to rotate from the second you lift most of the load off of the wheels, what i found is that if you increase cyclic just enough to take a little weight from the wheels the heli will normally start to pull that way (note wheels still on the ground just about) you can then either use the trim to correct this or use the rudder to correct this. I tend to use the rudder myself not played with the trim enough. once you have it perfect then you can take off and then it will stay pretty much in a straight line. I sometimes have to tweak the rudder in very very small amounts in game, I have my rudder mapped to my rotary switch on my Cougar so can do this. Thanks Mithandra

Currently running Vista Ultimate x64 with 4Gig of Ram. Completed the first 2 missions of the first campaign without any issues. Hope things go smooth as I just spent £300 to play this game right: bought: Cougar HOTAS + TrackIR 4 Pro with Track Clip Pro :) Mithandra

Hi Guys, I just downloaded the 2009 skin from the DCS site and copied over the files that it asks (over righting where necessary) . When entering the first campaign I do not see the new skin, is there anything else that I need to be aware of appart from copy and replace? Thanks Mithandra

As stated above there are 2 firing modes. One for Cannon (SPACE BAR) and one for missiles / Rockets (RCTRL+SPACE BAR) Also when locked into a target you need to move your reticle over or near the targetet reticle. Mithandra
